Now I understand why Princess Diana wanted to raise her son's different and show them the "ordinary" side of life. I am sure she must have been embarrassed by Charles and didn't want her sons to grow up royally spoiled!

Is that he was trying to show that liberal cities can't take care of them or it wouldn't be able to handle it to prove a point and then when they gathered together as a community to actually help them "it was at this point that he knew he F'ed up" I love it when they get owned trying to do something. I think that's a great idea but I don't think I would call the other people traders to the union. It was the time and the culture of that time to do those terrible things. Kind of like you probably wear Nikes or Adidas or some shoe that's Stone up by some poor little kid in China

Some people suspect that the fact that a Mercedes-hearse carried the queen's casket across Scotland rather than a british one was a final jab at her refusal to consider Scottish independence. After all, the queen's ancestry is German, and they only changed their "House of..." name during WW1 due to the anti-german sentiment.
Mercedes was always a popular ambulance in England. Rolls and Bentley were too expensive, and Mercedes had that autobahn suspension. It was not meant to be an insult. I seriously doubt the late Queen chose the conveyance.
[I know there were issues with heritage, but before WWI, the king's cousin, Nicholas II, had wed a German. She converted part of the palace into a soldier's hospital and she and her daughter treated allied soldiers, with no regard to her bloodline. Elizabeth II cherished England as strongly as Elizabeth I did.]

Critics were happy to criticize the casting of The Last Airbender, or Gods of Egypt, or Ghost in the Shell, for being too white for the Asian or ancient-Egyptian settings, but Disney remaking so much of their animated back-catalog exposes an inconvenient truth - that a lot of it was most directly derived from European fairy tales (Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, Snow White). Thus, arguments for racially-appropriate casting must be swapped for the freedom to cast whichever actors are believed to have the skill to play the characters.
I guess the research and numerous revisions on the script required to produce original works like Moana or Encanto are just too great to really churn out content at the desired pace.

Really, the only reason Ariel in the cartoon was white with red hair is that she was modeled after Jodi Benson, the voice actor who provided her voice in the 1989 movie (and in animated movies featuring Ariel since then). So, why wouldn't the current Ariel look like the person who is her voice in the live action movie? I think it would be hilarious if Jodi Benson trolled these people and they came out with a trailer showing her face now, around 60 years old, as Ariel and see what they have to say. I can see it as a bit: "We heard you were upset that the actor for the live version of The Little Mermaid does not resemble the cartoon from 1989, so we decided the only way to remedy this is to use the same actor for the role as we did over 30 years ago..." Can you imagine now a supposedly 16 year old mermaid played by someone who could very well be a grandmother? People are ridiculous with this. Getting angry about fictional characters as if they invented them.

Trevor was preparing for this platform. #JonStewart is a man of purpose to pick someone who could make this show even better & make it his own. They R both extremely cool men. It takes a lot of courage to stay that focused & still be funny. Trevor has a way of delivering current content that helps you to understand those that drive it better. I have to go see his show live. The work both Trevor Noah & his entire show delivers & the spinoffs R just what this country needs after the b.s. we have had 2 deal with these past years. I understand that as a figurehead it is easier to direct anger at her instead of having to learn about those directly involved in the policies. However, the modern Royal Family was always meant to be apolitical. Queen Elizabeth went out of her way not to opine on political matters at all. It's one of the ways the monarchy has survived this long. Any apology she made would be ultimately empty since she had no direct say over policy or government direction. That's sort of the point of being a figurehead. The government could have asked her to make an apology to represent them, but to my knowledge (which I'll admit is quite limited) never had.
I'm more confused why people are mad at a dead woman for not apologizing, when there are living government officials whom have not apologized still.
I would not want to be the one that has to tell the Bees' the buzz!

Those bears could be donated to children's charities. I think it's very selfish for the Crown to deny people giving gifts to a Queen they loved. I literally can’t pick my favorite joke tonight! There was so much to unpack! Trevor Noah is so FUNNY and relevant! I thought my daughter was a tad harsh when she said she was happy the Queen died, but after realizing that they didn’t try it right any wrongs I was like yep ok! We all did a lot of wrong things in the past but I think trying to make amends is key.
