@@DEFYN just me, or are teams losing their fight a bit? Always seems like towards the end of matches, nobody wants to really fight, and you often have to ground pound to win if you're behind on tickets.

Edit: Before, players could kill you if you just waited on runway, so you'd go out to fight even if the odds were bad.

@@kingghidorah8106 mig19 are not p2w and are good while your team is alive the guns are hard to get used but when you learn to use them its amazing
@@Feuervix mig19 is untouchable unless you lose consciousness of your surroundings... or you got a copy paste mig19 in your ass (F5 lol, yes a couple of loops and you leave them behind but their guns are deadly and they're easy to aim)

You call it boring, but I found that ending interesting. It just felt like this game of 6D chess that you just don't get in ground.
I really liked that dogfight. Two sensible players that know what they are doing. You dont see that often in War Thunder. Maybe it was boring for you, but I liked it a lot.

Darn! It was't boring at all. More like suspenseful. I think the Harrier requires more knowledge and application of strategy than most fighters. The scoreboard is the proof that you master it quite well. VIFFing has tremendous advantages and liabilities (loss of momentum). More from you will be great entertainment, and education. Hey Defyn, is there anyway for you to try out the V.B.10 (either version)? I don't know why people don't play them but I just spaded them and they seem to me they're a slightly worse version of a P-47. Got a few 6 kills matches with them and most I've been getting 2-3 on average. The European Canadian is the only other "big" WT youtuber that has a video on it, and on it I saw the hangar x-ray analysis and it seems it has even more HP and an airspawn, compared to 4 years ago. Is there something I'm missing or am I getting lucky?
IBeen having a blast with it, specially at higher alts if I can drag engagements that high.
Might take it out in a bit, no promises though. Pretty short on time rn

low speed horizontal scissor fights go to whoever can bleed speed faster so that’s the technique i use for all harriers and it seems to work great
F-104 really took up half a video, the F-100 kill was at the halfway mark I thought there were 2 matches.

Hey defyn can you pls give me some tips on how to play the MiG 19S? I keep dying in it, not to mention always blacking out even though I have maxed G tolerance and stamina.
In a downtier don't turn, instead just abuse the fact you go twice 9.0 planes can reach.

Expert or ace crew is a must. I experience the same problem on jets above 8.3.
Don't keep holding the elevator, use Neg G to prevent blacking out, max crew doesn't matter if you go too fast and turn too hard your pilot Will black out, so you should Neg G whenever you are close to blacking out

Reminder that it was THIS jet and the Lightning that caused gaijin to get rid of the 9.7 hard cap for air RB. You can thank the British tech tree and gaijin's incompetence every time your F100, F86-D, G91YS or CL13 gets clapped by an F4 with Aim9 Es
The F86 D doesn't exist in the game, the F100 and YS were above the BR cap, AIM9Es are only marginally better than Bs and the F100 has them, the Phantoms' best IR missiles are AIM9Js and AIM9Ps, F86 Sabres can't face any Phantom that has them, the US also received Harriers, and those were added months after the BR cap was removed. How many drugs were you on when you wrote this comment?

i just wanna ask one of the maneuvers that defyn use in props is where when he has much better energy and an enemy is behind him is he's gonna do a vertical version of a barrel role until the enemy starts to bleed its energy the after that he will do a horizontal one circle right, and then kill the enemy with almost zero energy. right? cuz one time I was playing with my squadron and I did that trick and he told me that I shouldn't do a vertical even tho I think he doesn't know that Im doing a vertical barrel roll of sort. and now I'm having doubts about my skills as a air rb player XD, I mean I usually win when I try to pull those maneuver but yeah starting to have doubts.
Well, verticals will hemorrhage your energy and convert it into alt, still leaving you an extremely easy target to someone else, if they can reach you. But, assume you're alone in the situation you describe with no possibility of getting jumped on.
You'd just want to make sure you have good separation. You don't want to start a vertical if they're too close, otherwise they can still walk guns on target. That's why I might recommend going into a steep climb, but not 100% straight up, to kill their energy, and circle around, either vertically or horizontally, and you have a free kill.
IIRC from the energy fighting vid, the Bf-109 may have a stronger engine and climb than a Spitfire, but the Spitfire has a lower stall speed and can prop hang for a little longer than a 109, for example.

If you play the game poorly and require AA cover to stay alive, you lost. Die to the person that outplayed you and go next, getting rewarded with an insta kill death bubble for misplaying is the furthest thing from a fair.
Why would I just present my inexperienced ass on a golden plater to the other player if the game developers have provided us with some sort of a mechanism to help me turn the tide to my favor? If it is not a hack or blatant breach of the game’s security then why not use it?

@i330 no arguments on need for improving skills. For someone who has a lot to learn in my case, I’d still gamble and make a run for the “safe zone” when situation calls for. Be that a damaged plane, ammo replenishment, or just straight up gambling.
As for @DEFYN, don’t hate the player, sweetie. Hate the game. Giving up so easily because the other pilot seems to have the upper hand is kind of a weak defeated attitude. I play for fun and time killing. If I score then that’s good. If I don’t then better luck next time.

AV-8A is the US Harrier, and has tge same Pegasus engine as the Gr.3. Tge Gr.1 is an AV-8A with a weaker engine and SRAAMs. Tge GR.3 is an AV-8A with a weird nose and built-in countermeasures (instead of a countermeasure pod like on the AV-8A). AV-8C has a slightly more powerful engine, but is essentially a Gr.3 with the nose from an AV-8A (it should also have a refueling probe)
What countermeasure type/ pattern to choose in toptier as mig27 player? Thanks! Why you include ammo and other selection under video but not countermeasure? Or it just does not matter?
I mostly run flares only but it depends on the matchmaker and the plane
If I need chaff I will run mixed
Flares reinforced gives you less pops
I don't use a pattern i just press whenever i need them

Flares priority gives 2 flares + 1 chaff per pop
Say you got 30 countermeasures you only het 10 pops
With mixed you get 15
The extra flare doesn't really do that much so i dont recommend it
@@DEFYN series and period are two options at the start panel of a match that you have to set a choice (just as fuel and ammo). Also if I am playing mig27 they shoot radar missile in headon how to handle that? I pop mixed and turn but does not help :(

I think it's a bit too much in an environment where anything else is faster and has more maneuverability, radar guided missiles etc... just want to debate it, no name callings pls
IMO it should go up to 10.3, SRAAMs are incredibly broken and it’s almost impossible to catch the thing for most subsonics. If they gave it countermeasures it would be worthy of 11.0, but it doesn’t get any, so it isn’t.

@@grahaldmills5930 well, first of all, MiG 15 doesn't have missiles, so no need to worry about flares let alone RWR. As for the missiles, they are at least dodgeable if you pull hard enough unlike the SRAAMs
