I have to be honest, I did not expect this journey/method at all. I mean, this was truly helpful and beautiful. Thank you so much! I've never seen anyone do it like this and the results are fantastic! Beautiful! Gained a follow here!

Oh my god, I didn't expect such a good tutorial video for a mere rock! I usually follow tutorials slightly and do things my own way because I already know some stuff on 3d modeling for other programs, so because I didn't like the tons of polygons I tried to do it with less subdivision and it looked awful. I then remembered the "decimate" modifier and tried to use it before the displace, which also looked bad. I later noticed exactly what you did and it looks much better. In the end I realised I should follow exactly what you do, and it's surely the best way to make cute low poly rocks.
I also LOVE the multiple decimate advice. It 100% works better.

you can use two decimate modifiers, the first use the planar/planer?? option and set the angle tolerance to about 12 degrees. Apply it, then add another decimate modifier and adjust the slider according to you liking...

So amazing, THANKS, in the displacement modifier, if you set the coordinates to global, every time you move the mesh, the rock takes shape in the same procedural way, or if you prefer, you can change the type of coordinates to object, and every time you move this same object used as a coordinate in the displacement modifier, the rock randomly takes shape, that's before you apply the modifier, it worked with me.

be carefull with dissolving vertices because when a single plane exist out of more then 4 points it gets a lot harder to calculate if you want to use it in anything that uses realtime processing.
