    I took msf course in nov 2020, i rode a dr 200. I liked it and went to get a dr 650, but the wait time is ridiculous. So me and my bro just went looking for shits and giggles, and a leftover 2020 ninja 650 , called to me from showroom floor, about a month later, im still trying to get used to it. The 650 ninja is my 1st bike, its peppy, but i have nothing to compare to. I was told id be able to hang with the big boys in lower speed situations, but would not keep up on highway runs. Do you have any issues on highway?

    • @KawaKouple

      ...I picked a blue one up back in July after not riding for 10 yrs. My last bike was a Suzuki 600 Katana. I love the Ninja though with the softer suspension, better gas mileage, nimble handling, and overall quality. plus I'll be 60 in a few yrs, and I don't ride as fast anymore, and I want to be comfortable riding without bending over the tank all day.

    Only one resonto buy any bike, cause you like it and it fits your style. I love the 650 ninja, good blend of power low end torque slim and good looks. I think 2 changes make it perfect for me. 1 drop about 40 lbs, I am smaller guy and light weight has many good points. Easier to ride, stop,flick around, fast direction changes, and take off fast with less weight. My old 1985 ninja 600 4 banger weighed in at 430, a twin in todays tech savy and weight saving world should be under 400 lbs, kawasaki got close. the lighter the better, I think I can shed 50 lbs on stock with some ingenuity. Only other thing I islike is not ninja deal but twin deal, I hate the sound of louder pipe on inline twins, sounds like dirt bike LOL. I want to get a used one lower weight and custom extend header pipes to route pipe out and up by swingarm and put a super trapp tuneable aluminum slip on. Can add or take away plates to change loudness and back pressure to keep power at least what it is stock. If I can pair it down 50 lbs that is better take off and faster stopping. Plus makes it even easier to flip into sorners. if I can get exhaust to get a bit more deep or loud bit not sound like a canned sound I would be happy.

    • @KawaKouple
      @KawaKouple  Před 6 lety

      Very well said. It is true, a motorcycle is a very personal choice, it is all about how you use it, how it fits you and what you want to do with it. To each their own. I never judge people on what they get or what they do because ultimately it is theirs not mine. You are right, every modification should be what makes you happy. Thanks

Kindly check it.Sorry if iam wrong! Ride safe!

    thats a great bike. i just bought a kawasaki ninja 650 year 2015 model for 4,385$ with 5,300miles.
    I've owned a 2004 Honda 600F4i CBR witch wasn't that bad in seating position. but this 650 is comfortable by far in up right riding. i liked both so far, for speed and torque. with the 650 you in my opinion can get longer ingevity out of it then the 600 especially when you have someone else riding with you.
