I felt that on a cosmic level. I usually can't find my receipts when I need them for situations like that. Luckily with online buying you usually don't need it ( they already what you bought)
I had a customer recently who pulled the give their receipt to another so that person can walk away with another of said product ( a TV in this case). He wanted help with a carryout on his. He said he had to go to the bathroom and the other associates told me their suspensions. Before we reached the door I kept trying to call out asking him if he had his receipt. He said no so I turned back and confirmed with the other associate he was given a receipt. He came back angry and we informed him without a receipt you can't leave with the item and that he was given a receipt. His argument was all over the place lol. It went from " I didn't want a receipt" to " i threw away my receipt when I went to the bathroom". Like who honestly would buy a TV and not keep their receipt in case it's defective lol.
I would have handed back the torn pieces of the receipt, but of course, Rowan would have likely removed the cash from the till and tore it up before handing to me. It was monopoly money, anyhow. 😁😁😁

@@avikshitbasak7556 They don't mean release order, but more of a written in prequel if you consider the current building they're in a reboot of the original. It's more that Ben was so calm compared to the rest of the videos. But yes, that was the first he was in and it's also a good one.
I was going to post this exact same thing hahaha. Someone else posted a comment asking how we made it through the entire skit without a single "Outrageous" from Ben. This would have been a *perfect* origin story if he was at a loss for words before he walked out and eventually settled on "Outrageous", thus forever cementing his catch phrase.
Nah. This is Rowan finally gettin Ben back for all his dickheadedness. Rowan always had to help Ben because the customer is always right. Now this was an occasion for Rowan to be right and gently lash out at Ben.
Weird to see Rowan dealing with Ben without being on his side.

One of your best Bored sketches in a long time! Mostly because I've grown a bit tired of Rowan being flanderized into being just stupid and absurdly ignorant. Here he knows the law, and he craftily tricks Ben, but he is still very much in character by being the biggest a-hole possible. Love it! And great acting also
I hope this turns into a mini-saga with Rowan and Ben escalating this.

I absolutely love it when Rowan and Ben are at odds at PlayTech. They have to be some of my favorite interactions between any of them. You get to see Ben finally experiencing some much needed comeuppance, and you always get to see why Rowan and only Rowan should be the manager, because he's always in control of the situation and can navigate the sheer level of absurdity of these situations by taking the absurdity to the next level.

Why would you side with Rowan over this? Both the receipt and product were Ben's. He was allowed to destroy his property if he wanted (i.e. the receipt). It was illegal for Rowan to destroy Ben's property (and it can still be proven that the product was his without the receipt).
Guys, it's just a skit. Obviously Rowan wasn't entitled to destroy Ben's property, but to be completely frank Ben could have simply taken the receipt and destroy it later, I don't get why he should refuse to do so. In Italy we used to be legally compelled to request the receipt (although it's not like this anymore)

this is bs. The purpose of the recceipt is for the shop to deduct the sale for acounting. I, as customer returned an item several times w/o any receipt, because the shop as a COPY saved. They just need to scan the product to check if it was bought in the shop.

Not all stores are alike. Not all stores keep a special copy for a-holes who constantly return items without a receipt.

Is it not the store's decision to keep a copy or not, is the law and how the device printing is set up! If the store is wanting to accept the refund or not w/o a receipt is another story. I live in Europe with work for some years and I could never imagine a shop refusing to refund with or without a receipt. The simple mention of customer protection is closing the deal.
Bank statements count as proof of purchase, so why would I need a receipt?
As a cashier I do not give a crap if people take receipts. Most of the time they are not needed. Heck, I hardly keep receipts.

As someone with a sense of humour working in customer service...
Making sure a customer gets their receipt is good customer service.
Working hard to look up customer receipts in times they have lost them, is good customer service. Making sure a customer can take advantage of the returns policy and their manufacturer warranty is good customer service.
Is smashing a customers product after they refused to take a receipt bad customer service? Yeah, no shit.
Even asking that question would be a sign of obtusely missing the point as well as the joke.
But the lesson is clear, there's a reason why we offer receipts. If the customer doesnt take one, they don't guarantee getting the same treatment as customers. In a world where multiple shops have the same products, at different prices, where faulty goods can be dug out of bins, where manufacturers rightly require proof of purchase...
The punchline is more direct, but basically true. If the customer had tripped outside the door and landed on the headset...yeah, we will bend over backwards, stretch beyond policy, and do out best to make up for their dumb ass decision or poor organisation.
Doesn't make it a good idea on their part. 😜
@@FFKonoko My store has a policy - if they walk out of the door and you've offered them their recipt, tear it in half and throw it away. If they come back in, call up a manager and they'll just manually override the policy.

As a guy who works retail, this is very accurate. Sometimes I sneak the receipts in their plastic bags.
