    The baseball scenes in this movie are incredible. You could tell they really paid attention to the actors they hired for this.

      For sure. A lot of them played baseball at one point, Scott Patterson/McGreavy was actually a really good pitcher growing up and you can tell from his mechanics. Was also really cool how they used actual players from that era (legit ones at that)

      If you wanted to put it ahead of ML though, put it ahead of Major League II. It tried too much to be like the original.

    My dad played in the cape cod league back in the mid 70's and he said there were guys just like the two at 2:38 and they were nuts haha. When he saw this scene for the first time, we re-played it about 10 more times bc he was laughing so hard bc it brought back a bunch of memories.

    2:24 ONE SHOT….. awesome camera work and baseball execution all around. One of the best baseball play movies ever. Highly underrated in the classic sports movies convos.

    I love that they had guys with actual baseball experience to play roles of guys on the team. It really shows. Such an underrated movie.

    Of any sports movie, this one has the best action sports scenes of all of them imo. They used real baseball players, and the turnout was incredible. Except Timothy Busfield. But his swing from the left side is so great in this movie. My brother just said he wanted his kids to see this. I can't wait to watch it again with them.

    An impressive pedigree for a film considered a kids movie. I can usually gauge the awesomeness of a film by how many people involved in it have worked with Aaron Sorkin. (With the exception of First Kid)

    So umm...Scales kicks the ball away, which is totally legal, but ummm...why wasn't the catcher going after the ball? I don't think the pitcher would've been backing him up on a trick play.

    In AAU when a runner was on 3rd I would always run the 2nd on ball 4’s..
    Worked like a charm
