Nice of you to share your portfolio.
I believe, and I could be wrong, the number of stocks you are investing in are too much.
It would be very difficult for me to keep track of all my holdings.
I made a same mistake when i started about 2 yrs ago and I had about 30 stocks at 1 point.
I have learnt from few seasoned invetors that, as an example, if our total investment is 5 millions we should not have more than 5-7 stocks.
Would be nice to hear your view on this.

Seconldy NCL(Nishat Chunian Limited) has the strongest fundamentals I did a great homework on it bought it's shares with so much optimism but I myself don't invest in non-shariah compliant companies so I sold them(Initially I missed the fact that it's not a shariah compliant company), I see other companies in your profile which are non shariah compliant so I would recommend you to have a look at & browse through it's fundamentals & dividend yields
👍 thumbs up to you for not investing in non-shariah compliant stocks. Secondly, shariah-compliance status keeps changing. So keep checking their status on PSX Data Portal periodically.
Well you are a good man , not investing in non shariah. Actually pathan = money, they don't care where it comes from .
@@noxterfam6350 I think we should not judge somebody just on the basis of investing in Shariah compliant vs non-shariah compliant especially because you don't know which condition a specific company is not meeting,
my comment was more towards sharing about a very good company on fundamentals front & as long as the company's core business is shariah compliant chances are that tomorrow the same company would meet all the criteria & be declared as sharia compliant. Like Faysal Bank , It's not fully shariah compliant at this moment but in a quarter or so they are planning to move all of their branches to Shariah compliant :)

FTSE Russel has a All-World High Dividend Yield Index,
It has 4 Pakistani Companies:
1. OGDC
2. FFC
3. PPL
4. HBL
I'm surprised to see that they have listed PPL in it. It never gave more than 6% annual dividend in last 10 years.
Dear Wali Bhai, Greetings from mumbai . Appreciate your videos on educating people on investments in stocks etc . I liked the honest appraisal of your equity portfolio on KSE/PSX.
My few observations on stock investing in PSX and appraisal are :
1. Each individual needs to be clear of ones goal while investing directly in equity or through MFs. generally, "investor" means person who is in for long haul- 10+ years , not for short term. However , individual need to asses ones portfolio periodically to see if there is any need for course correction, as you mentioned you have been doing regularly.
2. For any ordinary "investor" , its best to invest large portion in "Value stocks" having good business model/ management and low debt/asset ratio.
3.Investor can pick "multibagger" stocks ( dark horses who may give multi-times returns in 'future') based on the trends and some basic macro economic understanding , but shud be in single digit.
4. Index funds is one of safe bets to invest , as this will surely give returns better than FDs on a long term . Investor can put some portion in such funds.
5. Use "sarmaaya.pk/psx/stocks-screener" to short list KSE100 stocks with additional filter of Debt to Asset ratio

You should consider offloading EFERT as its payout ratio is above 100%. Its dividends payouts are causing its growth to slow. This would be clear if you take into account its YoY sales revenue and compare it with sector. Besides, It has unsustainable debt. Regards
That's why I have not added more EFERT in last 6 months. However, still not offloading.
EFERT seems to have lost luster this year after excellent dividend history. Maybe it will come back once its sales and profits pick pace.
Two companies you would probably want to check are: MEBL & TGL
From banking sector MEBL has the best fundamentals & TGL is leader in Glass along with Ghani

Just a quick question... How long it takes for the dividend to reflect in your cdc account? After the payment date from the company.
For example I had shares in FFC. They paid a dividend on 17 November but there is nothing on my CDC account.
Did you have shares before the ex-dividend date? If yes only then will you get dividend in your account. Ask your stock broker for more info

My learnings from PSX is to never get attached to any particular stock as well as always rotate your capital when you hit your Target price.

@@saqibnazir4177 The only good thing is the they have lower management fees compare to a mutual fund and they allow you to buy blue chip stocks with lower investment.On a long term basis,individual stock buying is the best because it gives you more control over what you buy.

A portfolio of *27 stocks,* you must be crazy man !
As a rule of thumb your portfolio should not be spread in more than 12, and 15 is max.
Only 6 scrips in your current holding are useful: MTL, OGDC, POL, EPCL, HUBC and EFERT. Rest is just random scrap.
For long term investment, focus only on dividend stocks and allocate only 10% to growth stocks those are at the bottom right now.
In your sheet, plz show net gain/loss of each scrip as well.
You are calling Engro, National foods, LUCK, DCR as random crap :-)
@@WaliKhan_2k Yes, my analysis does not place these in good stocks category right now. Maybe in future. This is from the investing stand point and not trading of course.

@@samking618 Their growth is less than what would be expected from a 'good' company (excluding luck) and can be considered average: somewhat able to beat inflation but not ruppee devaluation. Still they are good if awailable at further lower prices.
