- 90% of Golfers Would be EMBARRASSED to use this FORGIVING CLUB!? When it comes to buying golf clubs all golfers want the best golf clubs of 2022, the best golf clubs to help you shoot lower scores, the best forgiving golf clubs… in some cases this can be the most forgiving driver of 2022… the most forgiving irons of 2022 and even the most forgiving hybrid of 2022… but so many golfers ignore this fantastic forgiving golf club that could save you shots and lower your handicap!

John "Hannibal" Smith . The A-Team. loved 80's tv shows growing up. That wedge isn't too shabby either :)
It’s in my bag, and I’m not embarrassed. Also have the cbx 2.
I play a cbx 48 wedge and absolutely love it. I'm beginner/ high handicap golfer with chunky irons and was struggling with lack of versatility around the green with the set pitching wedge. Absolute game changer for me saving so many shots from around 100 yds and in.
I play a 50* and 54* CBX2 and a 58* CBX full face. I've always been a Cleveland wedge guy and these are the best yet. Mid and high handicappers take note and change from bladed wedges to these easier to hit and control cavity back wedges, they work!
Already love them! My Phoenix set(firm conditions) has the CBX Zipcore in 50/54/58 and my Chicago set(soft conditions) has the CBX2 52 and the CBX-FF in 56/60.
Great review James..Cleveland clubs like their wedges are great..I have a CBX but now will go for the full face model...Thanks....
I have the Cbx wedges in my bag, 52, 56 and 60 degrees. Fantastic wedges, have really helped my short game over the last year. I don't see why you would be embarrassed to have them in the bag, they look nice and play great.
i play this exact wedge for all of the same reasons as described. 56 is my highest loft. i also have a 50 CBX and the Chipper. i'm set on my wedges for years. i think Cleveland CBX wedges are better for anyone who needs help pitching and chipping from around the green. i recommend everyone to try them.
I recapped and pulled a hybrid out of my bag to keep my chipper in. Cleveland chipper isn't my go-to, but I go-to it when I need it.
I have two of those in my bag now. 50 & 56 It was George Peppard in the A Team
I've been playing the CBX wedges in 48º and 52º since the first generation and I'm a 3 hcp. I am not in any way embarrassed to have them in the bag and never have been, and I play blades in the short irons up to 7i! They're just fantastic. Distance control with these wedges is just stupid easy. Tons of spin. And they're great around the greens from all kinds of lies. The only place where they don't work too well (for me) is in a firm greenside bunker with little sand, as others have pointed out. I have an old Vokey 58º with 6º of bounce for those shots. But out of normal-to-fluffy sand, it's a dream. A lot of the rest of the bag seems to shift around and clubs come and go, but the CBX2s are staying put.
I have the previous year model, the CBX2. Great wedges especially in soggy conditions and out of rough. Although from just off the green in a tight lie I'd probably just run it up with a hybrid like Chris.
I have the Cleveland Fullface RTX for my 60 degree. It is so versatile. With our firm bunkers, it is my go-to sand club.
CBX 56 and 52, standard grooves, round out the set. All standard finish. Playing in Queensland, the ground never fully dries out (at least not since I have been here)
Thirty percent of my practice time is with these beauties and it is now paying off on the scorecard. For any pitch or chip from 80 metres in, there is usually one of these clubs doing a stellar job.
I just added a CBX 56. It replaced a Vokey that I didn’t particularly care for. Hoping for good things this spring!
I played the CBX2 last year - really liked it. Just didn't like it out of the sand with the mid/high bounce (we have very thin sandtraps at our club). Florida fluffly traps - it would be wonderful! Otherwise, it is a really really nice club and I enjoyed it!
I use Takomo 101's and Cleveland CBX2 48 54 58 wedges. Seem to look just fine in the bag!
I have the Cleveland Smart Sole 4 wedges (C,G,S) and absolutely love them. Made a big difference for me. I think Cleveland's products are amazing.
Loved the video. What would u suggest to players playing in opposite conditions. Where the ground is hard
I have the 60 degree full face CBX and a CBX2 in a 54. Love them both. Very forgiving.
Hannibal. I play off a 4 currently and i use a taylormade bigfoot hi toe 58 because it's wet and soft a lot at my home course and that 15 degrees bounce has really saved me a bunch of times.
CBX wedges are amazing! I can hit off of hard pan in the summer and have no issues. Didn’t realize cavity back style is the way to go for average players.
Brilliant, brilliant club - I'm a 4-handicap and I've had the 58-degree CBX Full Face in my bag all year. I'm also gaming a 48-degree CBX and a 54-degree CBX2 - these replaced my RTX-4s. All are way more forgiving from 100-odd yards in, as well as for all kinds of pitching and chipping around the green. They look great in the bag as well!
I use the CBX wedges. First generation ones. Not embarrassed at all. 🤷🏻
I like them.
I’m 38 and a returning golfer. As a junior I had a Cleveland Tour Action 900 and loved it. I’d imagine I was Vijay Singh when playing short game lol I’ve recently picked up 54/60 Hi Toe 3 wedges and they give me the same performance yet are very forgiving. I’d be more than happy to play these!
I’ve been a fan for over a year now and I really enjoy all your content, keep it up and I’ve learned so much from your channel!!!!
I have a set of these I put in for early spring and late fall (here in Canada) Love them, and I like that they blend nicer with my thicker Mizuno Hot metal irons.
Gamed this very wedge for over a year now James and simply can't fault it. I play off 5 and wedge & fairway wood is my achilles heel. Still trying to find a easy to launch fairway that works for me but the CBX FULL FACE wedge is just a game changer for me. I'm no longer worried standing over a 100 yards in shot or bunker shot. I have a 56 deg and the 60 deg is on my Santa list 🎅🤞🏻
You may have tried them but I have just purchased a five and seven Cleveland Halo launcher woods and they are very easy to hit. I highly recommend them.
I have the 58, really good 40 yards out
Currently game the 52 degree version. Had issues initially w/distance control, being that I hit it about 10 yards shorter than I did w/my other 52 degree. Had the loft & lie checked on this basically new wedge & loft was 54.5 lie was 66, both 2 degrees over spec. Had a PGA pro long ago tell me that Cleveland has always been notorious for having higher lofts than spec on everything from drivers to putters. Still a great wedge, but highly recommend having the specs checked before you buy one if possible.
Love those wedges. PGA superstore had them on sale for $119/stick I don’t need a new wedge yet, but will consider these when looking for a new one.
I've had a CBX2 )(58 degree) in the bag for some time, it's a great wedge. It was George Peppard in the A-Team who used that phrase BTW
I would have loved to try these wedges, unfortunately finding Cleveland clubs anywhere is a challenge. Thanks for reminding us that they are great wedges, James.
Yup - the CBX 56/10 is about as good as it gets on a soaking wet course. BTW I also fished out my Titleist Accu-Flow soft-soled blades for winter use (circa 1979) and I can't fault them either!
I have had the 60 degree version for 6 months, it really has helped my short game. Especially out of the sand where it is very effective
Somehow I missed this video 6-months passed. I love full faced wedges, and if they are raw, even better. Great video, you two. And Colonel Hannibal Smith, of the A-Team, says, "I love it when a plan comes together."
How does this compare to Cleveland Smart Sole wedges?
Looks like there might be a second Cobra driver in that bag next to the LTDx … embargoed AeroJet? Looking forward to that release and review!
i'm a 4 handicap and i bag a C3I 90 wedge (65 degrees) --- it's specifically for sand traps, and it's awesome.
I love it when a plan comes together is from the A-Team!! Hannibal used to say it!!
I have had my cbx zip core 54 wedge for about 6 months and love it. Great feel and good spin around the green. Always get a good hit out of it, never anything bad. Very happy with it, thinking of getting a 60° wedge next. Is the Vokey really a better club ?
@JamesRobinson_Golf2 Hey James, did Christmas come early ??? 😀
Friend of mine plays these wedges and loves them as he's someone that usually struggles around the greens. Basically if your're struggling with digging with your wedges go with more bounce...or if you're lucky enough...have two sets of wedges and put them in and out of the bag based on course conditions and time of year. There's a reason pros swap their wedges all the time with different bounce that's suited for the course they're playing. Moral of the story really is to get a wedge fitting and you'll end up with the right bounce for your game.
Gotta love Hannibal Smith, A-Team rules. Great video James!!
I have a RTX Black Satin 54° and I love it. I have a Callaway Full toe 58°. It is far lighter and not as forgiving as the RTX or the Callaway PM grind. It is new and I'll sell then get an RTX or CBX 58°.
i play a cbx 58 full face. love it. also who would be embarrassed to put a cleveland wedge in their bag? its as premium as premium gets.
Great review on the wedge mate
I have the Rtx zipcore for my 50 and 56, most consistent clubs in my bag!
Taylormade High-Toe. Same concept and works really well
Looks like it’s only available from 56 degrees. So what’s the equivalent forgiving alternative in 50 degrees? Is it the CBX zip ore or the RTX full face?
Play CBX 50 - 54 - 58, and on occasion pull the 50 and 54 to use the CBX2 52. Use them year round - hot, cold, wet, dry….all are dependable and consistent. They don’t have tube full face of the RTX but I can work them from any lie encountered.
Would love to see a comparison between these and the Caley CB wedges in DLC black finish!
Agree as caley clubs look superb value for money I'm saving up to buy the full set black edition 💵👍

I don't know where you got the notion that 90% of golfers would be embarrassed to play these. I played the RTX3 -CB wedges for quite a while as a 7 handicap. Absolutely loved them.
Just purchased Callaway CB Wedges a few weeks ago. Not going to lie, they are SUPER easy to use! No regrets on that purchase. And NO, I am not ashamed of using them!
I would definitely game it. I use the MG3s but I like the full face grooves.
i play the CBX Zipcore 52,56,60 and a SM8 50 cant complain they're pretty good my 60 has 12 bounce saves a lot of chunk shots lol, i wished i got the full face you'd be surprised how many chips come off the toe
I live and play in the Pacific Northwest which has very soft conditions most of the year. I put a Cleveland smart slide wedge in my bag at the beginning of the year, which is very similar to this one. I had it bent 3 degrees up and put a larger grip on it to allow me to use a putter motion when chipping (I believe it was Mark Crossfield that recommended it). It really does slide through soft turf and has improved my short game.
Eric, I’m in the NW as well and the Smart Sole is a game changer for sliding through our mucky and soft conditions. It’s almost like playing out of a bunker at times.
I’m very impressed by the massive sole and I too watched Crossfields review before buying. 58% was perfect and gives me confidence from 60 yards in, I’ve never had before.
Could care less what anyone thinks when I use it. Not sure what kind of golf snobs live in Europe, but people should be making their life easier if it’s available. Not everyone has countless hours at the range to spend, perfecting clipping a regular wedge from tight lies.
This club next season will get me much closer to scratch from a 7 now, guaranteed.
@@benbaxter2400 I played to a 9 and the guys I golf with told me it was a club for high handicappers. They said that until I dropped 4 shots and they saw just how easy it was to hit. For years I was the typical golfer, using cavity back irons and blades for my wedges..... not sure why most golfers do that. I guess I was impressed with the Vokey name and looks rather than how well I hit them. Oh, a few others in my little group started playing similar wedges as well.
@@ericwilmsen5932 there are shhhnobbs everywhere you are right! 😂
My 50 and 54 are Volkeys but, they are strictly fuller swing shots now exclusively. With an occasional longer bunker shot.
Where you at in the NW? Lived everywhere from Beaverton area and Seattle North on I5. But glad to be back home in Spokane now.
Hannibal from the A team says, "I love it when a plan comes together!"
i’m a 7 handicap and i switched both my vokeys out for CBX wedges certainly may not to be able to pull of those same miracle tap in short sided shots , but I won’t dump it into the bunker in front of me , my margins of error are so much better, I feel stupid not considering them earlier.
I live in Spain and struggle a bit around the green so maybe this will be going in my bag.
Hannable smith from the A-team… I got the full face rtx zip core and love them
I'm a 10 handicapper and been using these all year, love them, got 50° 56° and 60° quality fair play
Well done James 👏
I just went with the rtx zipcore because I got an amazing black Friday deal. Should have gone with the cbx probably. Been in Yorkshire too long...
I bought these irons and they are the best irons I have ever played, just amazing clubs.
I use a CBX2 56° with 12 bounce. Lifesaver!!
I put a 54 degree one in my bag last year, great wedge.
I played them this year for the first time and it was the best decision I've ever made as it concerns golf equipment.
Hannibal Smith was the leader of the A-Team and loved it when a plan comes together!
I play cbx2 56° in my wedge and it’s my favourite
Cleveland clubs are very good . I have the CBX but not the full toe, but I would play them all day!
love the look of the rtx line...then i tested the cbx4 and bought 48-52-56. embracing forgiveness this season.
All that's missing is Hannibal's cigar which a few people I know would need while they're in the bunker ,unless they have that club ofcourse james
"I love it when a plan comes together" was notably said by Hannibal from the 80s show: A-Team
I keep going back to my CBX wedges from 2018.
I use to struggle with hitting wedges for a long time I switch to the Cleveland cbx2 by far the easiest wedges to hit
Hannibal from the A team and what's wrong with Cleaveland I can remember using there launcher driver and if Corey Pavin used their wedges and he was one of the best in the short game back in the day.
welcome to the club lol. love these clubs for out of the bunkers, this one or the Mizuno ES21. they are bunker savers.
I have a 56 CBX 2, and like it. In literally checked out at full face 60 tonight for the first time, and when I opened the face, it seemed to look bladey.
Club looks good.. As long as it works that is all that matters..
It reminds me of my Callaway Mack Daddy CB wedges.
I was just about to say that's a cbx wedge then u corrected yourself, I personally like the look of them and think if your playing CB irons why would u not play CB wedges like this, I've been looking at them for a while
Great clubs have them in the bag already transformed my chipping game
Oh this is exactly what ill be buying this year after seeing all the toe shots I made with my wedges this year!
Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith in A-Ream 😁
I have the Cbx2 50 degree but I'm not sure what to say about it. Still a miss is a miss.
Hannibal from the A team is it like the Mizuno wide wedge...
I had one of these in my bag but couldn’t get on with it. Looks ugly at address and caused me issues with long and short shots.
Nice video though mate 👌🏻
still in my bag since a while now, I have a set of Mizuno S18 wedges that are forgiving as well, but this one is idot proof
James if you want forgiving clubs, please try the ELEVEN hybrid irons(5 to pw) all hybrids with graphite shafts£450 a set!!
Love the shot across the bow at Alex! 😂
@JamesRobinson_Golf2 FOH with your spam account.
It’s in my bag and it’s amazing
If you can please review Legato LTX 3085 I found them on Amazon. You might be shocked. I know you 2 love to review different balls
James Robinson v Alex 1v1 stroke play. Let’s go!!!
When i was first getting into golf, I had a few Cleveland wedges and could hit them for the life of me. My cousin gave me his old used Vokey SM7's, and it made the world of difference. I will never play Cleveland again.
I'd like to see you stick a set in you're bag for a few months james....give them a proper run
I love it when a plan comes together…..The A team….
If i put any club in my bag, its because it accomplishes what i require from it. Never embarrassed about a club, im only embarrassed when i dont play to my handicap or better.
Currently have a ZIPCORE 58° in my bag, not really for chipping, but for my greenside bunker play. I find it easier to control than my sand wedge which is at 54°, therefore, i have more confidence when i must use it. And to me, confidence is most important when it comes to trying to obtain low scores. If you lack confidence in the clubs youre gaming, you will never play well.
99% of the time, terrible shots arent because of the club. Its OPERATOR ERROR.
I say show more content with Laura in front of the camera! Thanks for the video James.
I carry the RTX zipcores, and when I ent to buy new wedges these produced 1000 rpm of spin over Volkys! You want easy wedges to hit that spin, I HIGHLY recommend Cleveland wedges! I’ve been playing Cleveland wedges for nearly 10 YEARS now! Best wedges in golf!
John "Hannibal" Smith on the TV show "The A-Team".
Got to be Hannibal Smith from the A Team😁👴🏻 but then I'm old enough to remember it, massive crashes and everyone just rubs their heads😂😂
Got and I love it.
ping? they make a fullface wedge? i know cobra does...
It was John Hannibal Smith ( George Peppard)
