Clemson is missing an extremely crucial part of their offense that was filled in perfectly by Renfrow and Amari Rodgers. They moved their best outside receiver to the slot position. The offensive line is terrible. The QB looks like a robot probably because of the immense pressure to perform due to expectations and his NIL dealings. Dabo is washed and acting completely out of character. Has no will to win and doesn’t even really bother making an excuse outside of shit happens. The team is losing its previously strong depth to the transfer portal with a coach completely unwilling to use it to replace those losses. Clemson looks like a dying program that doesn’t know who they are anymore. It’s honestly hard to watch this team barely survive opponents that they were beating by multiple possessions the last five years. As a Clemson fan I can’t confidently say that this team will beat everyone left on this schedule and there are some real stinkers on that schedule. Dabo needs to figure this shit out and stop hiring and recruiting his friends.

Please don't say Justin Ross is their best WR. He's trash. He wont get drafted and there are no others. There are NO playmakers. The cupboard is bare. If you don't have a great slot guy, then most teams can offset this with a good TE. Clemson has neither. They don't have the Oline to sustain a good running game and they're very high on Shipley who is VERY average, Cant break any tackles, because he wont get his nees up and he's used to running untouched(this is from his HS highlights) This isnt NC, there are real Defenses who are just as fast as he is.

There is a Georgia fan I like to watch on CZcams called Uncle Lou who is pretty sure one of the biggest reasons for Clemson taking a step back is Dabo's refusal to recruit players from the transfer portal and he isn't wrong, just as you said one of the RB's transferred out and Wisconsin now maybe better because of their willingness to have him come to Madison. Where on the other hand Clemson has missed out on upgrading positions they could have by not convincing players from the transfer portal to come play for the Tigers, and that would be a pretty easy sell a good portion of the players would accept, so Clemson wouldn't have trouble doing it if they tried. So I think you must consider this reason too.

Sorry. The first problem is the O-line. It has been going down hill since 2019. The running game production has been in decline since the 2018 Natty. It is all on the line. The blocking scheme is complicated and these guys don’t have what is needed to make it work. The line needs to be fixed before anything else can happen. DJ has lost his mojo and the wide outs are only good for 50/50 balls which DJ can’t throw accurately. Not that the wide outs get that chance because we don’t seem to throw many 50/50 balls anymore. The wides can’t get separation in the short game and we have no slot receiver. But none of it matters if the line can’t block properly. The Chad Morris offense needs to go. It was great for its time but that time has run it’s course. Just ask Chad after he mucked up his last two coaching gigs at SMU and Arkansas. Pittman is making headlines with Morris’ recruits.

Noel, just think though, Dabo didnt get Trevor Lawrence or Watson or any of the others from the transfer portal.......so how did he do it? It's this method, ( DABONESE,if you will) one of the culture and an overall wholesome environment, as well as much other too, such as having
      it's own
Natural Allure, that freely draws only upon the devoted ones, with the proper qualifications, to start with, those payin attention, and those who are knowingly an willingly prepared to accept the required demands of which these qualifications and demands from the start are no surprise once enrolled.
This, in itself quickly eliminates a lot of very unnesasary hufla, and chances of pre certification disaster an more bs, or as in our current situation, someone else's rating of a 5star qb, that as it turns out of course cant play up to the required standards of Clemson, and even if you could box him backup, he didnt come with a return address! This thing about transfere" from one school to another is red flag within itself, even dangerous, infact, is there now a pricetag on allegiance now? Some are workin on it! But you cant buy devotion, not real zealous committed devotion, no, so this whole transfere thing is from the start suspect, even hateful to a commitment of this depth, and it dont matter what they say, its sorta like a chicken eating dawg, or a wild woman, if they done it one time, they'll do it again, you cant instill trust in something as evedent, or you goofy as a football bat if you do! And ya gotta have a high-level passing game to be upper echelon in college these days. Only a few teams are able to have a very strong passing game year in and year out - Oklahoma, Bama, Ohio State, etc. And Oklahoma even had to bench the #1 QB from high school (Rattler), as well. It's very hard to have a super high-level passing game every year. See LSU, Clemson, and even Florida - this year. Geeze... even Harbaugh who was a QB himself hasn't produced great passing teams at Michigan. It is not easy.

yea man you basically missed it in this breakdown, the problems stem from the scheme of the offense they run and it trickles down, DJU has been good but with pressure around him and constantly in his face makes it hard on him bc he didn’t have to deal with that in the few times he showed up last yr plus the scheme relies upon a qb run game, rpo quick game that all tethers together this is essentially chad morris scheme that he learned under gus malzahn and in this scheme the pass game concepts are very basic thus having an underdeveloped oline a unit they do not recruit well puts even more pressure on DJU, the scheme was great & innovative for the time it was introduced but since it’s been average or below also in a conference where everyone knows what you’re running doesn’t help either since there hasn’t been any advancing in the scheme in creation it’s just what it is so to blame the players i think it is bad but i’ll mainly blame the coaching but if dabo is smart which i think he is, he will adjust appropriately and help this team

Clemson’s problem is that they’re fundamentally flawed in the way they approach the game. Turns out keeping all of your assistants for a long time makes your program stale. Where dabo stalled in yesteryear in his approach, Saban has been able to foresee the coming changes and adapt ahead of time. This just makes what Saban has done in 15 years at Bama all the more impressive. Dabo rose to the top and then flamed out. These kinds of fundamental changes aren’t fixed overnight or by getting a different qb. It takes years, if at all. Sorry to rain on your parade.

Lol I think it's due to bad coaching you can't blame injuries or replacing talent. Bc, Bama does that every year including losing coaches. So that's not a reason. I just think it's over for them. They flow of talent has diminished, & once again coaching is a big factor. When you don't have those " elite " players as you are talking about they're average at best. I mean TL isn't easy to replace but neither is a like Tua, or Mac... but Bryce Young has done pretty good so far in stepping up.

The idea that a formerly top team might drop to only be a solid top 25 team makes them "suck" is horrible. CFB desperately NEEDS for teams to not automatically stay in the top 5 year after year after year. The increasing lack of parity in CFB is killing the sport. If CFB wants to end their decline in ticket sales, they need more teams to have plausible chances for the championship and end the era of >120 of the teams each year having zero chance of significant success.
