Duane (Seth Green) and Blaine (Vince Vieluf) chase the thief who stole their key.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A very loose remake of the classic multi-star comedy It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963), this madcap comedy is directed by Jerry Zucker, one third of the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker comedy team and director of Ghost (1990). John Cleese stars as an eccentric casino owner who devises a contest pitting six teams against each other in a race to claim two million dollars from a locker in New Mexico. The competitors are Owen (Cuba Gooding Jr., who ends up driving a bus full of Lucille Ball imitators, a foreigner (Rowan Atkinson) who hitches a ride in an organ donor vehicle, and a recently reunited mother and daughter (Whoopi Goldberg and Lanei Chapman) who anger a "squirrel lady" (Kathy Bates) -- much to their regret. There are also two con artist brothers (Seth Green and Vince Vieluf), the upright Nick (Breckin Meyer), who gets a lift from cute but psychotic pilot Tracy (Amy Smart), and the eccentric Pear family, headed up by Jon Lovitz. Rat Race also stars Dave Thomas, Kathy Najimy, Wayne Knight, Dean Cain, and Paul Rodriguez.

Agreed! This was my first DVD. I blame 9/11 for this movie being underrated which it came out a month before. It hasn't even come out on Blu-ray yet which really shows how underrated it really is.
@@DisneyMusicVideos I loved Mad Mad Mad World and Cannon Ball Run growing up, so this was a fun modern take on that style.
The critics were the same with Its a mad mad mad mad world and Magnificent men and their flying machines! Any race comedy they turn up their noses

As a kid, this was the scene that made me laugh so hardest in my entire life
I remember laughing hard in the theater with my cousin

When I saw it for first time, I was nearly dead because of laughing
I know this movie is full of talented comedians, but these two OWN this movie. Every time I see it, these two make me laugh, and laugh hard.
The guy who played the brother with the tongue piercing should’ve been a regular on Robot Chicken!
Due in no small part to these two goofs being the only members of the main cast to demand to do all their own stunts, which ironically, their characters had the most physical humor scenes in the film.
The music makes this scene all the more hilarious....that and the part where seth green is being chased by the car and the other dude starts pounding on the car and crying LOL

This movie from beginning to end was just nonstop funny, what a classic and it's one of those movies that you can watch over and over again and never get tired of watching
Its a shame Vince Vieluf didn't get famous after this movie. He is super talented but hasn't had an acting credit since 2010. Race Race should have been his breakout role, and now it looks like it is going to be his only career highlight.

Seth Green sick tho, early 2000s some good stuff with him in and with him voicing Chris Griffin is always legendary

Vince is truly an unsung hero who never got his dues. He apparently retired from acting and became a bartender. Really hope he's happy now, he really was a funny and talented guy.

Still the hardest I’ve ever laughed at the theater. This entire movie was comedy gold!
I remember going to see this in theaters down in NYC in the Summer of 2001. A lot of fun laughs. This film next to Its a Mad Mad Mad World are great Summer films to watch back to back.

I don't think this movie works all the time, but it's often funny. I was surprised how it stumbles into a kind of surreal beauty, like at 0:58. Another interesting moment is when the jeep is slowly moving up the radar tower behind one of the brothers, as if it were chasing him vertically, to the tune of Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King." There may be other moments I am forgetting, but those two images were memorable. Maybe, for me, more memorable than the movie they were in.
Some of the pairings don't work as well as others; Green & Vieluf are comedy gold, Jon Lovitz and his family are second, Rowan Atkinson takes some time to get going, but his pairing with Wayne Knight makes up for it. The cutaway antics John Cleese, Dave Thomas and the gang of rich dudes are hilarious too. Cuba Gooding (his "I thought you were a woman" joke is the best joke in the movie) and Whoopi are hit-and-miss, Breckin Meyer and Amy Smart are just boring. The movie is a bit of a slog at the start, but the biggest letdown of the movie is the ending. It's just horrible.

Can please someone recommending to me similar hilarious road trip comedies like this? They are so fun. I just watched Cannonball run, Road Trip, Midnight Run, Smokey and The bandits, Planes trains and Automobiles, Due date, National lampoon's vacation but I just need more and more of this, I love this genre of comedy
