      @@augustortiz and was it really a dc2 gsr body with the gsr engine and trans ? I mean I bought one in meh shape over all for 2k 2 years back but it was a real gsr. Are you just saying dc2 to mean integra ?

    • @augustortiz
      @augustortiz Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@MyWolffy Now that you mention it I think non ITR cars are called DC4 instead of DC2. It was 98 GS-R body with 90k miles, 5-6 noticeable dents all around, paint was a 5/10 on some parts and 8/10 on others. Paint was bad on the hood (but everything had factory labels which is super rare). It had a freshly built GS-R engine with type r pistons, rods, skunk 2 cams, skunk 2 manifold, upgraded injectors and a lot of other things (the engine alone was worth what I paid for it imo) . Suspension wise it had a few things too. Original ITR wheels and brakes. Car pulled hard as hell for a n/a b18 and felt amazing in corners too.
      It was a great deal but repainting it was too much of a hassle at the moment for me, so I flipped it 2 months later. I instantly regretted selling it but the new owner still keeps in touch and the car is close by so at least there's that.

      I disagree on the "perfect" gear ratios, 4th and 5th are too long. The ITR and CTR of the gen prior have the perfect gear ratios. 1-2-3 is great tho! Its also a bit lacking for tire clearance up front if you don't wanna do the JDM front end swap. Have to choose between tire/wheel width and camber... But as a former RSX owner, front suspension design is worlds better on the 8th gen

I'd say the $ value is closer than what they paid. Just because someone wholesales their time and effort for essentially zero, doesn't mean the car didn't have 20k put into it.

    Love the choice on cars, I think this audience is always more interested in builds the majority of us can actually afford. Of course love the older hero cars, but the 10ish year old market is truly the sweet spot for best bang for buck.

    Japanese cars often *feel* as fast as higher powered German cars because of significantly higher final drive ratios (which are effectively a torque multiplier) since Japan is densely populated and their cars are made to feel peppy stoplight to stoplight. German cars on the other hand often get lower final drive ratios, i.e. the extremely long Autobahn Gearing. As soon as track focus dominates the conversation, swapping the final drive ratio in the M3 to a higher ratio final drive, the difference will be very apparent.

    My favourite Civic fd6/2 (I know it is a conversion) and my favourite BMW model E9X M3. I'd love to see a "fd2" track machine because there is no so much fd2 type r content on yt and also I'd love to see screaming V8 , streetable beast!

    Team Honda vs Team BMW This is going to be one exciting series. I love the underdog and love building up cars and I'm all for it. I'm on Team Honda for sure.

    Wish it was an E92. Still love the sedan version and sweet car despite all the well known issues. Good price for the M3! Seems like a lot to pay for a clapped Civic though.

      The civic is worth 3500, in my book. Nothing is more expensive than trying to un-shitbox a ricer civic. 😂
