@@dgenerationx5855 I feel the same about the UK (and most European countries now). Every song, each year, is boring, vanilla, uninspired, conventional, no edge and generic. It's all about happy clappy peace and love etc.
I'm not the most avid fan of rock. It's hit and miss for me. However, this song by Hatari has been my favourite of the competition. Its visuals, vocals etc really convey a message that, even though I don't understand Icelandic, I understand the message it's showing . It takes real artwork to convey a message to people in a language that they don't understand. If art is good it will transcend barriers and Hatari have managed to do that.

@Edna Mode - no, actually, most countries have their selections with songs written and performed in English or whatever language they are planned to be performed in the ESC. In Iceland, on the other hand, all the songs are *required* to be performed in Icelandic in the national selection, but normally they do an English version in the ESC. That is quite different. I know the Olsen Brothers changed their 2000 winning entry into English, and a few other countries have, too, in the early days of English being allowed again by any country, but it's only Iceland that does it like that as a matter of course.
incorrect, the songs are not required to be performed in icelandic in the national selection, however if a song wins the national selection it must be performed in the same language during ESC, so if they perform in icelandic they cant change to english and vice versa @@hakonsoreide

Adman Holmo along with portugal’s entry it is probably the most polarising song in the competition- compared to the rest of the songs this one is loved for being the opposite of what we usually see at Eurovision - so to me it is a dark horse
A "dark horse" is an act that no one predicts to do well and which isn't that liked in the eurovision community but in the end however does still well (see Belgium 2016 or Serbia 2015)
Iceland is a fan fav and is in the Top 10 of the odds so no dark horse at all here and that's a fact and no opinion
