- Happy New Year to you all.
How do you feel this time of year are you in the "Im so glad to be rid of the Christmas mess" or " Its so sad to see all the lovely decorations gone"
I think it's a little bit of both, the house is looking pretty bare, but it's not quite time to start decorating with the spring decor.
This week I have been thrifting and upscycling. The Christmas decor is coming down room by room and I am cleaning and refreshing the rooms with natural decor to bring the outside in.
I hope you enjoy the video, don't forget to give the thumbs up and comment. What's your favourite upscycle this week.? - Zábava
The advent box and the nature art work
👍❤️
Thank you for sharing love everything have a wonderful blessed weekend and Happy New Year.
Thanks so much health and happiness for 2024 🥂🍾❤️
It was all quite lovely. I particularly like the two jars with greenery and lights and the beautiful greenery bowl on the table.
Thanks so much easy but quite pretty 👍
I have chipped things I put other things in. Making things is therapy for me. My cat died before Christmas. I had him for 11 years. It breaks my heart when a stray cat dies whether I have the fur baby one year or 11 years. I decided to keep my tree up 12 MONTHS since Valentines are now in all the stores…. I have cigar boxes. I decoupage napkins, and sew things. I created or designed a fully lined poncho with 2 pillowcases. The pockets are as large as pillowcases. It takes 4 minutes to make. I don’t sell them. I have reached the age that I teach.
Oh I am so sorry about your cat I have always loved my pets like family it’s harder the older we get. 😢 this year I wanted to leave my Santa up all year (a gift from my beautiful sister many years ago) but I packed him in a beautiful box and decided he is going to France with me. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤️
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 Are you in France long?
I'm so sorry you lost your cat. I tell myself that the joy they bring outweighs the sadness, but it still hurts your heart to say goodbye.
Lynsey, thank you for sharing you creativity. How you created that faux French clock was beyond amazing! Just wait till we hit the Brocantes in France!
I was given an large ironstone bowl and will dig up some oasis in my stash and create that delicious centerpiece. It is low enough to not block any conversations going on at the dinner/kitchen table 👏❤️👏.
Bags are out of the attic, sitting in the mud room, just give us the word and your Fans are anxiously awaiting to pack for France ❤️🇫🇷❤️. Imagine the extra sets of hands you will have😊.
A dream come true, Bravo Lynsey and Family 👍🇫🇷👍.
Well my friend the sorting begins this month to see what we will be taking to France. Can’t wait to get started 😍
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 Wish your Fans could help 😊
Two favorites, the William Morris box &the greenery in picture frame!
Love your style! Happy New Year!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much. Glad you like them 🍾🥂happy new year
You are quite the creator! I have to say I love the box the most too but the centerpiece is my next favorite! Enjoy thrifting in 2024!
Will do. Thanks for watching 🙏
You have such a gift. I mean it. You can take the ordinary and turn it into the unique and beautiful. I always get inspiration from your videos and the way you present them is so relaxing. Thank you!
Thank you so much. It realistic my bliss 👍❤️
I like the lighted bowl. I use I lot of remote candles in the winter in dark places.
Yes I agree I have used so many remote candles and twinkle lights this year, they are especially good when you don’t have outlets nearby 👍
I was doubtful when you started painting the blue-and-white figurine, but the black with the gold turned out beautifully. My favorite.
lol you and me both, I figured if it didn’t work I could wash the paint off ! But it was ok 👍
All were nice. My favorite is the William Morris box. What a fabulous idea for it. ❤😊
Mine too! It is such a pretty box 👍
I love the advent calendar into a box, you make all things possible
Thank you 🙏 I didn’t want to waste such a beautiful box 😊
Wonderful video as I am taking down Christmas decor today and bringing in a winter look for a couple of months. Your William Morris box turned out beautifully.
Thanks it’s so pretty 😍 I’m also going to box up another Christmas for another year🎄
All of your projects turned out lovely, so I like all of them. I'm always inspired by everything you do.
Thank you so much! 😊
Loved the greenery in the jug, the centerpiece and the wall art. Adding feathers and horns was perfect. I may try the wall art. I have loads of frames!
Go for it! I’m definitely going to make another 💐
Lynsey, your creative abilities never cease to amaze me! Does your mind ever rest, or are you thinking up new things in the middle of the night?! I love everything you presented today, but I especially love the William Morris box and the centerpiece on your dining table. Happy New Year to you and yours!
lol thanks so much, actually I do wake up some nights with a great idea 💡 🥰
I love your creativity. I am one that awaits anxiously to see what you’re going to create every week. Thank you Lynsey!
Thanks so much 😊 I had lots of things on the go. Lots more next week 😜
Another inspiring video! My favorite is the Advent box, also really like the shadow box with greenery and the deer head… well really, I like it all! Thanks again for sharing and today I’m changing out my China cabinet, putting Christmas away! 🕊️
I will work on cabinets this weekend I hope 🤞 give them a good sorting
I took my Christmas down today (it looks sad) ... I was inspired with the lighted Greenery Bowl, I especially love how you painted the figurine and rubbed with gold, that gave me some ideas also, as always I love to sit down, relax and watch you create !
Thanks so much, I have more for next week lol couldn’t fit in all in one video 😍👍
Advent calendar? It might have been my favorite but it wasn't in this video, maybe part of next week's delights? Mt fave this week was the picture frame w/ stag & leaves.
The William Morris box was an advent calendar 😊
I love everything that you create! It's all so beautiful!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas!❤
Thank you so much for watching 👍it’s very much appreciated 🙏
They were all sooooo beautiful… hard to choose, but I’m going to make the glass bowl with the twinkle lights and pine cones for my home❤️🇨🇦
Thanks 😊 it’s easy but looks great 👍
Your best video ever ! And they’re all good….
Oh thanks so much. 🙏
I love everything! I love seeing lots of greenery inside in the winter. Its a remnant from Christmas/Christianity and paganism also because you bring in greenery like trees and wreaths and pine cones and it not only brightens up the place, you still feel that connection to nature. The Coffee table box is my favorite! I was inspired by everything! 😍
Thanks 😊I love the greenery, when I was a child in England we would have holly and ivy all winter till they where replaced by the spring flowers 💐
Absolutely loved how you used the pitcher and the bowl to create two winter inspired décor items.
I also am very inspired by the way you took the picture frame and made a wonderful piece of wall art. I can picture something like this on a front door. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Oh the art on the front door is an excellent idea. 💡 great for spring 😊
Thank you for the winter inspiration. I always struggle a bit to redecorate after Christmas!
Yep I think this year has been a bit easier with my theme🦌🫎🐴 lol
The advent calendar is my favourite. I will however work on a pitcher and basin which is just sitting in the corner of a room and do something like you did, you have such energy and I love it all ❤
That's a great idea! Little effort for big impact 👍❤️
I love the remote box!
It’s my favourite 🥰
Lynsey, this week’s video was so full of inspiration that I had to make a list! The greenery picture with the deer head was one of my first favourites. I will be giving that a try at some point. My next favourite was the William Morris remote box which I will copying very soon. My husband gave me a William Morris Scrapbook book (the same one that you have) which I will use to cover a box. Such a great idea, especially the way that you finished it off on the inside. Nice job.
The illuminated pine bowl will be nice in my entryway where we don’t have an outlet but needs all the light that I can get. I’ll be giving that a go very soon.
This is going on too long so, the stoneware basin with the feathers and greenery was so pretty. The book riser, really liked your technique. The pitcher with greenery and antler arrangement really warmed up the corner.
Thank you so much for all your inspiration. You are such a pleasure to watch. I really look forward to your videos. Take care. ❤️
Oh thank you so much 😊 I really had to edit some content for next week It was a busy week. 🙏
Thank you. Love all of your DIY's very creative!!!! Cheers. My favorite is the nature picture with the little deer on it. Happy New Year
Thank you Happy New Year to you 🍾I was a little worried about the picture at one point, but it looks so pretty in the bathroom definitely going to make another one 👍
I love your reuse of the William Morris box! I haven't finished all my goodies yet but, this gives me ideas about how to reuse the beautiful box!
Thanks, lol I just have to figure out where to put all my new bathroom accessories (thanks to Mr Morris)👍
Nice repurposing! I really like the covered box for the remote! I really need to get back to crafting but motivation is my problem. I always look for your videos. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas! Hopefully it'll get my creative juices going. Dee, New York
You can do it! Especially after Christmas I find when the new year comes around it’s the perfect time to clear out and recycle 😍
I really did enjoy your video and I love to see thrifted items repurposed. You room looks lovely and I too love William Morris, but who doesn't! Happy New Year.
Thank you so much! It’s lovely to see more people discovering and enjoying WM I have loved it since I was a child. ❤️
My favorite is the wall art. At first, I was cold to the idea, but by the end, you motivated me completely. Happy new year 😃
Thank you. ☺️ I felt the same it was better than i thought.
Advent looks great. Love watching your videos 🥰
Thank you so much 🤗 it was a beautiful box shame to waste it 👍
Very creative
Thank you! Cheers!👍
I really love the table centerpiece! It’s so pretty , love the feathers in it. But it’s always hard to choose one favorite because all of your ideas are beautiful.
Thanks so much! 😊 my absolute favourite is the WM box 👍❤️
Wow I am always so impressed by your creativity and skills. You really inspire me. Love the picture frame and the clock. If I tried the William Morris Box it wouldn't look as finished as yours. But you do inspire me
Thanks so much 🥰 my poor hands took a few hot glue burns but it really wasn’t difficult 👍
Your post Christmas decor video is just what I needed! My style is quite similar to yours so I can use many of your ideas to transition towards the next season. Love watching your videos ❤❤❤. Thank you
Thanks so much, and thanks for the lovely comments. They are very much appreciated ☺️❤️
I can never pick a favorite. All is lovely. The clock intrigues me though and made my diy brain gear up. I love those old rectangle black box like mantel clocks with the little decorative pillars on each side and such. I can imagine starting what you made and expanding on it using both your figurines and clock. I think between using foam board, cardboard, dowels and molded air dry clay, something impressive could come of it. Thank you much for the inspiration! Hope your new year brings you and your loved ones great joy and good health.
I think we are on the same wavelength 👍I was thinking something very similar, I may expand on my original clock ………watch this space 🧐
That woulld be terrific! Cant wait to see what your diy brain produces. I like the way you think. I always love the challenge of either taking what i have or thinking of what i can substitute to achieve my goal. Its like a scavenger hunt and jigsaw puzzle in one. Good luck!
You are so clever
☺️
I love the color of your living room. What is the color? Just a lovely room. My favorite DIY project was the William Morris box. Really nicely done ❤
Thank you so much! Yes that box is lovely 😊. The living room is Benjamin Moore Hale Navy 😍I first used it at my old house I love this colour❤️
Love your videos and your accent!!! Beautiful home that you have
Thank you so much. That is very much appreciated 🥰
Wow Lynsey. The William Morris box turned out brilliantly. Not only stunning but clever use for remotes, handcreams, nail files etc. Love the clock too. That black book riser excellent too. All you do is beautiful. Love from Sunderland.
Thank you so much Tracey. 🙏lots more to come 😊
I love the woodsy forest theme. The greenery and centrepiece is something that I would try. You gave a second life to that gaudy clock for sure. The William morris box is beautiful and a great repurpose. We have that problem too. My house is small and I do look for ideas for small space storage so appreciate your ideas. It’s not easy to do all those craft projects plus videoing. Take care.
Thanks so much. I absolutely love the WM box it was beautiful before I started now it’s useful too. 😍
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 we have made a couple CZcams videos but not done much of anything lately - Good’n Life. We live in BC and I love to see all the thrift hauls from back east. It’s much better than what we have here.
@@deannag8158 the prices here are getting a little silly, but we do still have a few bargains 👍
Very inventive with the advent box turned remote storage!
It’s so pretty 🤩
Lynsey, you always inspire me. I have an old wash basin and pitcher, the pitcher makes for a useful vase. That reminds me of the Chewy commercial where the dog says vase, vaaaaase! The remote box was my favourite. It never ceases to amaze me how truly creative and talented you are. The quilted lining and the William Morris tab 🎉 you are definitely creative and 🎉 talented! 🙋♀️
Thank you I appreciate that 👍
The book-nook for hiding remotes, etc. is brilliant! We ordered inks/paints a couple of years ago and they were packaged inside a giant (11x14) book.
It was too good to throw away and eventually an idea would surface!
Thank you very much for the “ aha!” moment!
I’ll be getting started on that right now. I have adhesive backed velvet for lining jewelry boxes that will do nicely 🤓
Great send pictures when your done 👍☺️
January is always so drab after Christmas and NYE, you have brightened the month! Love the remote box. I have a similar one think I might line as well. You are just so creative!!! Thanks Lynsey!
Oh thank you so much. So glad it inspired you 😍
Lovely! You’re so creative. I think my favorite is the frame.
Thank you! 😊
I was watching your video while i was taking down Christmas decorations. You are so talented and inspiring! I don't know where you get all your energy from? I'm 63 years old and don't have half your energy! Lol. 😂 You do give me many ideas that I'd like to try though. Thank you for that. I loved all your DIY. The William Morris was my favorite. Happy New Year! 🎉
Thanks so much, 😍 my mind is full of ideas but my body is not so eager 😢lol but I’m glad to be able to share my thoughts and creativity with so many wonderful kindred spirits 👍
Happy, healthy and energetic new year 🥂🍾to you
What great creative ideas. I loved the deer in the frame with the winter foliage and the box to hide the tv controls. 🙂 It always looks so bare when the Christmas decorations come down. I used to hate it, but now try and make January a little decorative too. Happy New year.
Glad you enjoyed the video, it’s nice to see the natural decor coming inside for the winter. 👍
I have a jar of pine cones, we are very much living similar worlds. You would have been good at window dressing.xx🐝🐝
I’ve said it before, we where separated at birth lol 😂
Such great ideas Lynsey. The Advent Calendar was for sure my favourite . What an ingenious idea. Happy New Year to you too and look forward to your 2024 creations.
Thank you! You too! 😍
I really love the repurposed advent!
I was very pleased it could be up cycled it is a beautiful box ☺️
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 Gorgeous!
Great ideas!!! Thank you, so glad I found you. Love you accent! Will be doing the greens in the frame.
😊 appreciate your lovely comments. I am going to make a spring frame I love how they look 🤗
I so look forward to sitting down and watching your videos every week. You never cease to amaze and inspire me. Happy New Year to you and yours!
Happy new year!! 🥳 and thank you very much 🥰
I like everything but the one I would actually attempt is the centerpiece. The glue gun and I simply do not get along.
Oh my glue gun is so hot 🥵 my poor hands are burnt to bits (time for a new gun) lol good luck 🤞 I empathize 😜
What color are your walls? Love it!
They are Benjamin Moore Hale Navy. And it really is a deep beautiful colour. 👍
Although it turned out very nice,The green deer head gets lost in the greenery. I would’ve kept it gold.
I don’t mind it blending, maybe a bit too blended ☺️though 👍
Hi Lindsey, this is the first time I watched your video. What part of good old Blidhty are you from? I lived in England for a number of years and my husband is English. Enjoyed your video and am looking forward to more. Happy New Year to you and yours!
Welcome. 🤗 I’m originally from Birmingham living in Canada from many years and hoping to move to France someday 😊
Love your channel but please no Rock a bye Baby 70 here
lol I will try ☺️
