Well its finally done (well 95%) done, I have a thrift haul and show you how I got my Olde World Vintage inspired lovely functional Laundry room. Hope you enjoy it
I always joke about it when my students leave my classroom and there might be a nickel or a dime on the floor. I pick it up and I say it’s my tip for teaching them all year long.
Just lovely. The room is such a dramatic change. All the details you have added really make the room- for example, the black painted handles on the doors- classic vintage laundry room. Really enjoyed seeing this makeover.
Another great thrift haul! You truly achieved that old world look in your laundry room. I certainly wouldn't mind doing laundry in that space while enjoying a cup of tea at the same time. It's fabulous!

The Wildwood book was written and illustrated by a husband(author)and wife ( artist) from Oregon, and, I, too, have that book. That blue wired Velvet ribbon was a true find. Wow! Love your hauls.🌹
I just love your laundry room. I’m kinda envious because mine is so small. Love how you decorated it. I love your antique items you added like the washboard, penny/coin holder, and the irons. You need my antique ironing board I have in storage. Then all the useful things such as a clothes drying rack and the laundry soaps dispensers. You’ve encouraged me to buy paint for metal and repaint old cabinet handles. Another top job! 👍🏻
Hi Lynsey, once again you have smashed it, absolutely stunning. I love the pocket change box. White a good colour and the use of two wallpapers fabulous idea for the splash back. It's rainy in the UK today (Sunderland) but hasn't stopped me going out to the charity shops. You are inspirational. Love the hanging rack for your gloves. Irons painted very good idea. What a great thrift and Christmas in July haul. I was very fortunately to get some Christmas greenery actually for free. A local craft store was allowing customers to "pick" some from a nearby table with each purchase. The laundry room redo is just amazing. Your attention to detail is just so inspiring. I think some lace panels or even Toile would be a nice touch on the windows. Looking forward to seeing how you transform the other rooms.
An idea for the missing lid on the softener decanter: lay a pretty saucer over its top. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful decorating ideas! I’m never disappointed with your content. I’m looking forward to the holidays to see that sweet quilt/throw, etc. pressed into service! 😊🤗❤️

I always pick up quality greenery. So sad seeing established businesses close. We have a local family hardware store closing after being open since the 40’s. 🥲 I just love watching your finds! Great redo on the dated pulls.
It’s so sad this florist was beautiful I always bought the most beautiful flowers, it also had a Christmas house shop that was 3 floors of Christmas loveliness. I’m really sad especially since it’s going to be condos. So very 😞

i am also redoing an OLD house and it can be a chalenge to work w/ the quirkiness....grreat job turing your multi purpose space into a bright spot in your home :) ( my laundry room is a pet supplies, recycling bins, tool and coat room as well! LOL multipurpose spaces are always a challenge!)
Lynsey, would you go around your rooms and tell cost of each item and give total? I do this often in my own home and am so happy to realize that an entire room can be done with so little money when you shop smart.

Lol it’s in one of my previous videos and the reason I don’t eat ketchup, if you put in on brass it cleans it up nicely. There are a few combinations with baking sofa or salt. It works great. 👍

The curtains are lovely and your room is great. However, the curtains don't seem to reflect the vintage decor of your room's accessories and color scheme. Just one woman's opinion. 😉
I agree, they where the inspiration for the room I wanted a nautical look , but I’m not 100% happy with them I’m leaving them for now but I’m going to change them when I find the perfect set 👍😃

A cleverly resourceful and charming room! But I liked the old curtains better. The room seems more traditional than the boat themed fabric to me.

Well we have a 5 year plan we go to get the keys mid August and then renovate, and then decide in 5 years if we want to move there 👍🇫🇷
