I can remember being that child that waited in a long line to get a baby doll for Christmas through the salvation army. The anticipation for me was amazing. May God bless you for doing this and making multiple children feel loved! Jesus said, "If you have done it to the least of these you have done it to me."
I’m 37 now but when I was a kid my mom was raising 5 of us on her own and couldn’t afford to get us much for Christmas but kind people like you always helped via charities and we were able to have gifts and food. I remember getting excited when the police officer dressed up as Santa dropped off gifts at our house. I still recall getting a big book with fairy tale stories and reading it and holding onto it for most of my childhood. As an adult I always wondered who the kind stranger that donated it was. Thank you for doing this!! 💙
Love it! #operationchristmaschild I dropped 70 boxes off at the church on Wednesday! I've been filling boxes since my kids were little and they are in their 30's now. My dad and his housemates have been helping me for the last couple years, but he passed this past May and because of covid, I filled them myself❤ I found most of my stuff at dollar tree. Love that "Kind" book! Your videos from the past have inspired me to do bags for the homeless. That's my next project. Thank you for all you do!🤗

I was a child who received one of those shoeboxes! I was fourteen years old at the time. It was so amazing to receive a gift from another country. At the time, I was so grateful to receive it. I will never forget how happy I was. I still remember the joy on all the other kids' faces. I came to USA and brought some of the items I received in the box, and I still have them. They remind me about the time when I had nothing. The shoe boxes taught me how to love others without knowing them. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUSTY. Any time you make a shoe box, you are changing a kid's life in a positive way. You are teaching them a lesson of love and faith. 🥰❤

My kids went to a Christian school and every year they did Operation Christmas Child by Samaritans Purse. They are grown up now but it brings memories. It will make some children very happy.

I packed two boxes, boy and girl 2-4. This was my first year but it won't be our last! I got a little obsessed watching ByrdFeed and Love in a Shoebox doing their unboxing videos. It's amazing how much you can fit in a shoebox. Your kind heart will be truly appreciated.
Finishing our shoeboxes today! I take everything out of the packages except the toothbrushes. Makes more room to add more stuff. That and I was told a lot of the places the boxes are sent to don’t have the waste management we do. The kids are going to love your boxes ❤️

I’ve been doing these for years too. I always do girl 5-9. I do two boxes, one from each of my children. I pack 2 children’s books, a dress, underwear, wide fork comb, socks, soap, hair bands and barrettes, pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, toothbrush and a stuffed toy. They are packed full. I hope the child that gets one of our boxes has a great Christmas.

Operation Christmas Child is such a cool program. Did it for a few years, usually did 250-300 boxes (we did it as a group though) but our cut-off date here in AZ was the end of summer. Talked to some of the kids who got the boxes (sometimes years later) and they always said a pencil and wash cloth was 2 of the most treasured items, some of the villages only had 1 pencil so it was precious :) One of my dear friends actually got a phone call from a young girl who had gotten her box 5-6 years ago, she had always put a handwritten note in the boxes (surprised her to get the call). They have I think it is 137 countries and even in the USA for distribution of the boxes. Also the little fold-up mirrors in DT are great, some of the villages don't have mirrors so the kids have never really seen themselves.
I am turning in my Christmas Box tomorrow at church! It was so much fun filling it and a blessing to my heart as well! Remember to pray over each box and for the child who will receive it before turning in! 🙏🏼

I love packing these boxes. I pick up things through the year, & mostly I crochet hats, stuffed animals, pouches. You can remove the packaging from most items to fit better. The kids still know it's new. Have you watched the videos of kids getting gifts? So beautiful !

Those are great ideas especially because when people like me give I've given kids clothes/baby lotion, etc not toys. Also those little toddler spoons/ forks & plates/sippy cups may work too!

These boxes are cool. They usually give you a list since these go to poor children over seas that need toiletries and school supplies.

I'd definitely take everything out of the packages. That way you can fit a lot more in the shoebox. Also you can stuff a water bottle with items too.
