I’m a medical laboratory scientist at a hospital and we have couriers coming in and out every few hours to deliver our outpatient specimens. Interesting to see their day.
Thanks for watching
do you know what application i can fill out for this or how going about it im having no luck
@@irenebreedlove1355 I have no idea, usually our couriers are contracted from outside companies, but you could try calling the HR department of a hospital and ask if they’re hiring for couriers.
@@irenebreedlove1355 Google it.
@@IsauraAbreu how do i sign up
Cardinal health is a great company to work for if you wanna do this type of job. Benefits, 2 months pto every year. Solid pay, could be better (20hr) but you get a four percent raise every year. Drive COMPANY CARS with THEIR gas money. Oh yea, they also pay for schooling, I know 2 people who got free college and now make 30/hr+ doing two different things.
Nice! Do you have to be vaccinated?
Yes I know people that work here, Maybe in the future.
@@markhayacrawford7791 at my location i needed to be. The job is super easy!
@@markhayacrawford7791
Can you claim the religious act to not get vaccinated?
I live in Florida how can i find this kind of work
3:00 am, pregnant, on the road all day……you’re a BADASS 👏
I was thinking the same thing 💯💯💯
She pregnant not handicapped. I worked everyday until I went in labor. Nothing special I just did what I had to do.
@@ladyo7254 well, yeah. Not handicapped hahaha! But up at 2:00 am? what time does she go to bed? what kind of life is that? She's doing what she has to do, to pay the bills - good on her!! Additionally, I worked all through my wife's multiple pregnancies until she went into labor too. No big deal!
It’s actually not that smart . It’s very stressful to be on that early schedule. Not healthy for mom not healthy for baby. Hopefully she can find something less taxing on her adrenals as this will lead to hormone imbalance and illness . Ask me how I know this 😐. Pick your baby daddies wisely ladies .
Actually unhealthy for the baby...breathing in fumes from your car’s cabin and from cars while in traffic are very unhealthy!
You are a very hard working and dedicated lady. Even while being pregnant, you are still a hustler. I wish you much success and be safe out here.
Thank you very much 🙏🏽
Shouldn't be working while pregnant.. Where's the hubby at
That's none of your dang business troll.@@chelseatillidie3264
For those who don’t know, this is a 4:30 AM to 12 PM shift
I don't care where you think you are safe at. You are never safe at 3:00am at a gas station and leaving your car door open. Don't do that again. Get out with your keys and lock the car, period.
Yes especially that your pregnant with little man❤😊
Exactly
she’s a hustler with faith even though you must always be wise which this really isn’t very wise BUT we have to do what we have to do and Pray in the midst of it!
@@sharontolbert4424you’re* 💯
Woah, you don’t just tell someone else what to do, as if it affects your life in some meaningful way. I don’t care how helpful you think you’re being. Giving advice is one thing, but you come across WAY too aggressive. Don’t do that again. Period. (Now how does that feel?)
I live in TX and have been thanking about doing this. Thank you for showing a glimpse of what its like 😊
You still "thinkjng"?? Or doing?
More power to you. The traffic in NYC is ridiculous.
I think you are a very industrious and smart lady. You are obviously very organized! I thank you for sharing this video and explaining your day. I was interested in seeing the routine. Have an awesome week!
Thank you so much!
Great video!!! I'm looking forward to doing this one day.
That was a terrific productive post thanks
Wow this video brought tears to my eyes because my grandmother passed away in White Plains hospital and I stayed there with her for 39days until she passed. I live in Florida now and watching your video made me feel like I was back home again. I miss New Rochelle so much as well as NYC. 😢
Am watching this in New Rochelle palmer ave
Then go back there and get therapy. Don't come here and download your narcissistic problems.
You are awesome Mamacita! Bravo for you!
Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it. Liked the music too!
Hello sweetie
I was thinking about becoming a courier, however me becoming ill put me on the back line. I was happy to come across your channel, by seeing this information has helped with my decision. Thank you 🙏🏾 😊.
I worked for Quest for a number of years and our routes were pretty nuts, also alot more hands on with lab specimens, labeling and packaging for return to hub etc. One thing I did notice is that route difficulty increased tenfold just prior to my beginning at the company, according to other employees. Company was very fun to work for, and then suddenly it wasn't. Apparently corporate lost all interest in keeping the job quality of life tolerable. By the time I started, they were pushing some 150+ route stops a day, not including driver transfers and emergency pickups. I might sign up for this type of gig-based assignments but I don't think I'd ever go back to a full time large scale operation again. Quest, for example, lost any care they may have once had for their logistics team well-being.
Teterboro, NJ facility? I worked up the road at BioReference in Elmwood Park.
Excellent work 🔥 Thanks for the info 👍
Love ur work ethic and accent. Keep pushing miss!
I’m glad I found this! I’m from the city but moved bout 45 mins north and I thought about this job and this area but looks like your in the city and make drops to our area up here and not the other way around unless I’m wrong. It suck for me to have to go down there first only to turn around back up this way to make the stops you just made but I’d be done up this way not going back down that way. But the job seems cool longs as it pays good!
Thank you so much for this informative, yet entertaining video.
for anyone thinking about getting into this work, i've been doing this work for 17 yrs. her route is much simpler than anything i've encountered. My experience involves many more departments and many more process. also heavy lifting. It is interesting to see the work from a new yorkers perspective. I wish I would've had routes that easy. The companies I've worked for are much more hands on with lab specs, pharmacies, supply orders from dock areas, residential supply and pharmacy deliveries, interoffice deliveries between hospitals, satellite offices, vendor doctor offices etc.....i'm now a dispatcher for the courier dept for the hospital i work at. for instance, Labcorp or Medspeed are much more hands on with specimen processing.
recommend a certain company for me to apply with?
@@davenicolas6908you noticed you didn’t get a response right.. Do better
How much can you make?
@@davenicolas6908 lots of companies that hire contractors are regional, and in my region, with a fuel efficient car you might average a take home of $12/hr. The bonus is as a contractor, you can work as many hours as theyll give you. If you're looking for an employer, labcorp has certain perks with how your allowed to lease vehicles through them so you can use the company cars for personal use. There Path Laboratories, Medspeed, and a few others. I personally don't think any of them pay enough to live. I started as a contractor, and now work for a hospital directly that owns their own fleet. We also outsource to a contractor company for our out of town pharmaceutical deliveries to peoples homes. This situation is what I think would be the most profitable per time worked as long as the work stays consistent. The company we use is not a national company. Do your research locally to see who your local contractor companies are.
@@ladyo7254 forgive me for not seeing a response to something i wrote a month ago.
Great video..congratulations on the baby🎉❤
Thank you!! 😊
That Nickelodeon jacket is fire and your English is amazing love the accent and appreciate the effort into the videos I can tell your definitely old school meaning you have traditional values all in all glad I found your channel

Thanks for watching
Congrats on the baby 🎉
Thank you
honestly one of the best courier videos on YT because it shows the Actual work it takes... these "gurus" are so misleading with.. you just do this n this n this n this and BAM you make 10,000 dollars in 10 minutes!!!! in reality nothing is free.

Let’s get it 🙌 nice video. I be all over Yonkers & new Rochelle in the am too. Keep hustling 💰

Don't forget to deduct all that mileage when doing your taxes: The mileage rate for 2023 is $0.655 or 65.5¢ per mile for business

You are so welcome
Very informative. Thanks so much for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
Making your own money! You are bringing something to the table!😊
Thank you for this video
My pleasure
It’s great to see how that works
I worked for an institutional pharmacy (part time) where we would deliver meds to hospitals and nursing homes (or long term care facilities). As the company grew larger we had more runs that were done by a contractor firm.We all had routes in different parts of town, and we also had on-call or 'stat' deliveries. We would get paid by the hour (more for stats) but the contractors got paid by the run.The pharmacy staff, tech and our regular drivers were great, but the contractors were a mixed bag. They were okay at first, then they hired a bunch or dirtbags and the job wasn't as fun anymore. Our pharmacy was eventually bought up by CVS,but around that time I landed another full time job with hours that would have conflicted with the delivery job.
It was great while it lasted, and I made a lot of friends and I even had a few girlfriends on my route.Great times back then, but it was time for me to move on.
Nice to see you doing your thing.I wish you and your baby well!
I never was paid hourly for medical delivery jobs especially since you're using your own vehicle. The hourly rate doesn't even match or come close to the wear and tear on your car, gas etc. That's how they get over on you. You will make money by taking contracts that pay you by the mile or a set pay for a route.
Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤
Good stuff my dear! I live in NJ an I want to do that
Great vid thx!
God bless you and give you more blessings
This was very helpful
I remember working nights repoing cars in the 5 burroughs 1989-91...the city is magic at 4am as well as those trips to westchester county.
Yes it is! no traffic nothing like that!
Dope ma,... never knew about this type of work.
I couldn’t handle getting up in the middle of the night, driving in the dark and the traffic while fatigued but more power to ya!
Thanks for sharing I just subbed.

courier jobs are everywhere, i would google contractor courier companies and call them and see if they're hiring. alot of them do medical work.
I worked for a nuclear pharmacy delivery to hospitals..It looks identical to what you are doing, except I drove a company car. I quit after a month, because I couldn't get along with an employee. It was an okay job, like all jobs it has its ups and downs

I live in Louisiana and would love to do a job like this, just hard to find here in the south.
Thanks for posting this. I’m considering doing this. But question: Why do you have a mask on over your mouth? Don’t you breath through your nose, too?
Stay Safe, Baby Kitten.
I worked for UPS for 24 years, but I have a back injury and can't lift much. I'd like to try something like this.
Wow tks! Do you have to have some sort of commercial insurance or extra insurance for driving for work? And I hope you’re keeping track of all your mileage for tax purposes?
Thank you so much and this is so helpful. We would like to know how much the pay is. I know that it may vary, but to get an idea of what we may be doing we would like to know how much you made for the run(s). We are watching because we would like to possibly get into the business.
Great video
How do you track your miles? Do you use an app or just keep track off of your odometer? I have an app called MileIQ, which I keep on at all times and just capture if the trip is "personal" or "business". Not a plug, just sharing.
Thanks again for the information.
I already know how many miles from stops to stops!
This would be fine to do this part time as a side hustle. Can this be done part time at night or it’s a whole day thing?
How does the pay per hr average you gas prices and mileage your using during the work hrs?
Good one 🥰
Thanks for sharing... good job... which software did you use for editing the video?
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure
Interesting. Do you make enough and set aside enough to replace your vehicle? I have considered driving my own car but am afraid of how much I will be wearing out my car.
Thank you
How many locations do you travel on your average daily run?
Hi mama. I live in Brooklyn. Does the company sends you and closest to the area you live?
At what time do you start and you do be delivering at night time ?
How many miles and hours do you drive per day?
What do they pay by delivery? Might be a good gig if I retire early.
Hello i loved your video of what you demonstrated the job consists of. I googled nuclear medicine jobs in my area but im failing to find any good leads. Do you have any suggestions of where to look or any keywords on what to search for? Any help would be super helpful. Thanks
Hello! Thanks for watching, Medical delivery courier, medical courier, medical supply delivery, independent contractor, driver independent contractor
Can you make a living after taking out fuel costs, vehicle wear and tear, repairs, insurance, and other expenses? Thanks in advance, and looking forward to your response. I consider doing the same in my area but worry about gains vs. losses. Thank you for sharing.
It was at the time. I am pregnant now so I took a break from the job until I come back from maternity leave!
Thanks for helping me

Thanks sharing the video. I live in New York City also and I am thinking of doing medical courier. How much do usually make on a run like this?

I'm a RN and looking at it for my side hustle now
Good job ! How much do they pay ? Per mile, per hour ? How to become a medical courier ?
Dear Isaura! This video the best! I am looking for an additional job. The Medical courier looks good for me, I did try to apply and was surprised, they ask me to be able to lift 100 pounds... Are these boxes really that heavy???
Oh wow! Yes! Some of the boxes are very heavy but not always it depends!
great informative video. Do you have to have your own cart to roll the items into the hospitals
You need a dolly yes!
Hi Isaura, What company is this you working for?
So you must have a van or truck? I wonder if you can do with a smaller vehicle.
Question, where about people who has vision issues? Can I do what you do or Do you had to do a lot of filling out forms or you just pick up the package and drop it off?
No no really it’s pretty easy not really much writing to do
Why did you work your run the order that your did it for this video?
Bronx is closer to New Rochelle/Yonkers than going all the way up to the other area you went to that you mentioned..
Hello, I have labs that are priorities stops so I have to do them first also sometimes the locations open at certain time so I have to go back when they open. Most of you questions are in the videos I upload.
I wanted to ask you if it helps to be HIPPA & BBPA certified if I trying to get into the industry?
It helps but it’s no necessary
