The way to NLs heart is mediocre effects combined with a single point of damage.

I just want to say, that my 2 year old looked at the tv and seen your head and said "BABY" Brilliant!
It hurts watching him squander reversal. It's the most broken gadget in the game. You can just go into a fight with no equipment, swap with your opponent for a free win and then after the fight you keep their equipment. You can even use it to delete the boss.
It's a free win+ free equipment?

You need to be buying extra equipment at shops just to have it, you will never have enough otherwise
If you knew you had the reversal gadget, couldn’t you just bring no equipment into the battle for a free win?

Yes it's great. I've never gotten it against an enemy with great gear but one day.
I think the missed lethal on last turn was
1+2 returns a 1
1+2 returns a 1
1+3
=10 dmg exactly
But yeah you need to pause for a sec to think about it and maybe this is hard to do on a youtube video
VictouffeVideos He even said the correct sequence, but then went 3, 1. There were a bunch of misplays this episode, that could have been solved if he actually thought about it, instead of looking at it for 2 seconds then going “I hope this is right”

@@jacobkeller863 Yeah but I feel like comparing to the really dumb misplays from previous episodes, those misplays are excusable.
maybe it's because it's late, but this time I had to pause and think a little bit about the correct plays. If i'm playing the game by myself I can take a little extra time to check the correct play. but I guess he doesn't want each turn to be 1mn long in his youtube video.
Yeah, definitely missed lethal, i got:
Nunchucks 3+2 returns a 1, 5hp
Spannersword 2+1 returns a 3, 4hp
Spannersword 3+1 returns a 4, 3hp
Lighter 4, snowman is weak to fire, -1hp
One minute in and he immediately forgets how to read.
Prioritizing spanner sword when none of your equipment does straight dice value damage, alright. Sure. Weird but I guess the outcome is neutral.
Opting to do 1 damage over and over with lucky star instead of taking advantage of the nunchucks you just upgraded is very questionable though. Stop prioritizing lucky star you madman lmao
P.s. you definitely wiffed lethal on that last nunchuck play, but that's okay it was a cursed run anyways
He still has not discovered that when curse gives the enemy your dice, you can grab them
I was SCREAMING when he kept putting twos and threes into random equipment instead of nunchucks. By my count that dire wolf fight took two turns longer than necessary as a result.

Buying upgrades as Inventor is.... WHY
SamuraiFoochs It actually would have been fine but he always refuses to buy more than 1 thing at a shop. He could have upgraded and bought a piece of equipment at both shops I believe
That Spanner Sword + Lucky Star combo was hilarious
He did miss lethal, but really was being far to greedy/brainless to win this one. As the inventor you gotta hoard equipment. Spent too much on upgrades and even then they would have been fine if he’d also bought the cheap equipment to go with them

There was such a good combo there if he upgraded lucky star. yeet all 6s into lucky star for 3 each. spanner sword to make two more 6s and 2 damage. yeet those 6s for 6 more total damage and you still have 2 5s left over.
NL, 100% that happened to me with dicey. My Seagate 3TB (a model I just found out was notorious for dying prematurely) was slowly dying and dicey dungeons was suffering on loads, unplayable. I don't want to accuse Dicey of killing my hard drive, but I will say, if Dicey dungeons is having trouble loading, back up your hard drive where it was installed, because the way it constantly loads data off the drive, it's a good indication your hard drive is having issues. Don't lose 3TB of data like I did!

If you ever get the Berlin key gadget effect always go into the next fight with no equipment you can take all the enemies stuff and they can’t do anything
At some point in this run NL said “I think this run requires more skill than we are able to give it at this point”.
I agree with that sentiment but perhaps I would like to see NL try to slow down when he feels this way and think about his turns more because I’m pretty sure he’s very capable of making great plays, I’ve seen him do it. Believe in yourself NL, also thanks for the company.
Inventor took me a while to figure out. You want to have lots of gear at all times. Upgrades are not that important when compared to other classes so you are better off copying and buying more equipment. You also prefer to have high damage over dice manipulation in a lot of cases because dice manipulation often requires some sort of combo to work how it should.
Also as I am sure others have mentioned, if your dice are cursed in PU and are given to the opponent (when they go to the top of the screen) you can still use them.

Isn't the reversal gadget a free win? It seems like you could unequip anything that deals meaningful damage before the fight

Not bad for a first attempt on a class that's not your style. I didn't think Spannersword was going to be great but it ended up doing some work. My only comment would be not to spend money on upgrades. The Inventor in general needs more equipment, and the gadgets make up for the lack of upgrades a little. I think Inventor could use one or two more chests over the course of the run to make it flow better though.
I don't know what's different but I finally see what NL meant that shaving makes him look like a 12 year old. It must be the lighting. :)
Don't spend coins on upgrades my guy. Also if you do, the least you could do is use the upgrade equipment. Couple times you had 2s and 3s and just combined them to get 1 damage out of lucky start.

Love the dicey stuff and don't mean to backseat but to find success you have to change how you play the inventor just a little, you're kind of doing your usual.

I am going to say this once. Buy equipment, NOT upgrades. I don’t even own the game and it seems to me to be more beneficial to get new equipment since you keep losing them after beating an enemy as the inventor.
I think you could've had 11 damage there at the end if you played it differently, but hey it wouldn't be an nl video without a misplay and a throw right?

NL dude check out Soul Knight. It’s on switch $11. It’s a free mobile game roguelike but it is amazing on Switch. It has many different characters and tons of weapons. Is like a mini version of Gungeon

This was painful to watch. Slow down, explore your options and learn to read already. You think you're saving time by playing fast but in the end it means you'll be playing more turns and runs you dislike.
I hate the inventor and I hate every inventor episode but this one is incredibly incredibly horrible.
