I abandoned hope when he started praising Spanner Sword.
I think NL needs to flip his mind, then put it in nunchucks, or was it spanner sword.

Upgrading Spanner Sword is probably the worst possible use of 3 gold though.

Gear swap while you have nothing equipped, you take the enemys equipment giving him nothing. And you get to keep it after the fight.

I figured that would be a thing, though the part where you also get to keep the equipment you ended the fight on just makes it that much better, especially on a character that is constantly getting rid of equipment.

@@yewwowduck Berlin Key becomes the gadget that swaps equipment with the enemy. When you get it, unequip all of your equipment and start the next fight. Use the gadget to take the enemy's equipment, leaving them unarmed.

Huh, so that gadget that swaps gear leaving you with the enemy's gear is actually pretty cool, if you know it in advance. Once you've got that, you just unequip as much as possible (I dunno if you can have nothing equipped, if not then just the weakest thing you have), swap it, and troll the enemy with their own stuff; you lose one piece of equipment, gain however many pieces the enemy has, then make a new gadget with one of those. Minimises the risk of the enemy, and can potentially get you more gear.
But, you folks want to know a super secret?

I've been playing catch up on the dicey and legit got confused when this video started playing. Had to look in my history to make sure I didn't watch this one yet lol.

He overvalued it because his last run, spannersword was his entire setup. Even though it was ass, familiarity=good I guess

I had to check the video date like 2 or 3 times because it was so damn close to yesterday's episode.

Spanner sword is only good to enable equipment that has an effect on 6. And it is negligibly better than spanner.

Literally just steal all of the enemies equipment from them. They won't be able to do anything, you get free equipment (that could sometimes be OP). Win Win!

Have they said how they're gonna change it? The biggest problem with it, IMO, is that enemies having upgraded equipment is really inconsistent. Some enemies barely benefit and others get way too much (Sneezy)
This is good to hear in any case. Ive been avoiding the Witch's 4. I like her mechanics, but she's kinda weak

watching NL forget to pick up hp at 6:30 hurt me
I highly sugest,just giving yourself a "fun run" and forget the progression for one episode. Start as the theif with his ability to steal equipment every turn and seek out an alchemist, then become a bear dice. It resets your equipment and you can't purchase stuff from shops... but you do a lot of raw damage and find mostly good if not decent equipment as you progress through that run. Trust me,youll have fun. Then give the witch or the inventor another go

I love this series so much, I watch it every morning because of the time zone, I don’t know what to fill it with when it goes
NL I think it's crucially important for you to know that if you put a single dice in a piece of equipment that requires 2 dice to activate, then dice manipulation equipment will not affect that dice. For example, if you have two 4s, place one in calculator, use another dice to swap and you will have a 4 and a 3 ready. With this in mind you would have made it through fights so much quicker, preserving so much more hp, and potentially living through the wicker man fight.
So Reversal is the most powerful ability in the game. Unequip everything. Go into the fight with nothing but the reversal gadget. Get free equipment kill defenseless enemy.
That reversal on Stereohead was Godlike
Hey NL, next time you get the gadget which swaps all equipment with an enemy, enter the next combat with no moves equipped. You will be able to steal the enemy's equipment and leave them with nothing, for an easy perfect fight.
NL: I don’t think we should upgrade equipment this time because they are going to get removed soon anyway.
Also NL: *wastes 4 gold to buy an upgrade instead of equipment because he didn’t think the equipment was that good*

I think NL is the sole reason I now use yeet so frequently.
The play with Inventor seems to be, play as normal till you get the gear swap, unequip everything or only go in with a single piece of trash equipment, battle someone you know has a lot of gear, switch at the start of the fight and lol yourself to victory.
Look, the misplays are hurting my head, but I’ll try to help. With equipment that takes two dice, if you put one die in the do something that affects “all” dice, that die is not affected. For example, if you roll two 4s and a 2, you want to use calculator, put a 4 in calculator, a 2 in giant spatula, and you will have a 4 and a 3

Equipment > Upgrades
Only upgrade if you got enough spare equipment, or a really, really good item. Even then on parallel it's stupid because you don't get the choice like normal.
Use the nunchucks man, you left 4-6 damage on the table every round.
Why do you seem to dislike Tetraphobia? 1 damage per 1 dice value is good, especially with the flexibility of a countdown

Flipping isn't going to change if you sum to 7 or not!!
The values on opposite sides of a die sum to 7, which you seem to understand. So two dice sum to 7 if and only if they are flips of each other. That is, you can only use calculator on pairs (x,y) where each is a flip of the other - flipping both isn't going to change that property.

Could cheese it by saving Berlin key till the fight before the boss use it and on piece of damaging equipment. Get rid of Berlin key post fight. Now you have reversal, fight the boss and don’t equip anything. Use reversal and take the bosses equipment and leave the boss with nothing

If your dice do not have a pair that sum to 7, it's mathematically impossible to get such a pair by flipping them.

I do think scrap items make inventory needlessly hard. They often give terrible gadgets, and are effectively worse version of better equipment. They should be fixed to being small items that are 1 gold in the shop...
I feel like Ryan isn’t processing how broken reversal is in the right setup. You give yourself one terrible piece of equipment against the final boss and use reversal and they can’t do anything

First fight with Weaken he could have used it first in his moves and finished it 1 round earlier. Against Bettle, he could have put 2 six's into Befuddled and got 3 sixes
1) Spannersword is bad
2) Screw driver and Berlin Key are really good equipment and even better gadgets
3) buy more equipment especially scrap equipment to yeet

Flipping all dice when you don't have a 7 could never create a 7... Instead of having x you have (14-x) which is only 7 if x is 7 originally..

My least favorite is the warrior because he's too simple.
I HATE the witch. Ive prob spent 100 of the 140 attempts on just the witch.
She's mine. I get the meta but there's a heavy element of chance to her gameplay, especially for run 5, and you're basically only preparing for the final 2 fights and just trying to survive with tactical decisions and luck until then, which isn't very fun IMHO.

Inventor is a bit :/ since you have to give up equipment, but it's not hard. You just gotta plan out a final loadout ahead of time and save equipment you don't wanna yeet in the backpack

I truly cant understand his praise for Spanner Sword. I dont play Dicey Dungeon, but just on paper it looks TERRIBLE. Its basically 1 damage and shifting your dice around at the cost of an equipment slot.

This man praising stuff like Molotov cocktail and gemstone staff as gopod because they give "real damage" while trading away pieces of amazing combos he has...it is baffling!
I really wish he would either not have a huge back log in dicey or would actually read the comments so he would get alittle less horrible as this game. I find NL to be very entertaining but I can't watch these throws anymore.
