CTWC Legends features the Old School players who helped build the world championship to what it is now. Prepare for a blast to the past as we crown the best legend for CTWC 2023. MegaRetroMan vs Frank and Kim vs Ben Mullen are featured in this matchup.
CTWC Legend Tournament was a 12-person bracket featuring players who participated in CTWC before 2019 and all players used the DAS playstyle in this event.

At the 2023 CTWC, over 100 Classic Tetris pros gathered at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo to vie for 48 seeds. Qualifying consisted of 2 hour attempts where players would try to rack up as many great scores as possible. In a 48-seed bracket, the Top 16 seeds earn a bye out of Round 0, while the bottom 32-seeds compete for a spot in Round 1.

Thanks to all the organizers, commentators, and players who made this legend tournament possible! Being a fan of CTWC since 2016, I'm so happy so see everyone playing DAS, having fun, while doing some great performance just like back in the day.
I can't wait to see more legends in the tournament: Svavar, Jani, Koryan, Quaid/Zzyzx, etc. We miss you guys! 😃
