One Hour Total Body Barre Workout with Cardio - Burn upto 500 calories! Minimal Equipment Needed

- This barre workout is a FULL BODY workout. It is slightly over one hour long. You will burn, strengthen, and tone. Periodically we will do some cardio intervals to elevate your heart rate to torch more calories! We begin with a warm-up, dumbbell arms, legs with chair, cardio, and end with chest, core, and abs. This one is challenging. Be sure to have some hydration handy and hit pause if needed! As always, an option with most exercises is to decrease the range of motion.
Equipment needed: Dumbbells (3-5lbs) no DBs? Grab water bottles or soup cans. You will also need a STURDY chair. Never pull back on the chair. It is only there to have a light grip with the hands on top.

This is my first time with this instructor, and she is TOUGH, but oh, so professional. Her constant chatter is ideal for this length and challenge in a workout, as it keeps one in the loop. At 61 and a seasoned yogi/Barre/fitness freak, I could just about hang in there, but no excuse for those younger folks!☺️

I love these workouts. I love the encouragement through out the video; it helps me push through the hard. I also love the explaining because it helps me to focus and refocus when it does get hard. I don't think you talk to much and I think they workouts are really hard but that's better than too easy, because like you said, you can always modify or take a break. Challenges are good. I love your long barre workouts (because it's more like how my classes used to be before the quarantine) and I like being reminded about my posture and breathing etc., because for me at least it's easy to forget about one aspect while trying to do another and a reminder is welcome. Thank you!

I absolutely love your workouts I don't think you talk too much and you are challenging and that's why I love your workouts I would like you to use not such technical terms I understand basic glutes triceps etc but what is posterior or exterior I have no idea there's a lot of words that you use that I don't understand where those muscle groups are because I do focus on the muscle groups as we work each one. But I watch you and you are one of the best!

I absolutely loved this workout! I don't think you talk too much at all, it actually helps me when it gets tough. The only thing I would have loved is about 5 minute of stretching at the end

The best challenging class by far! I have been working out for over 25 years. This is one of the only classes that really got me looking at the clock hoping it will be over soon which is why I am going to stick up with it.

Awesome workout! I"m always amazed at how low weight and small movements can BURN so much
Love this workout! Even with the hardest modifications I never hit 300 calories burned. It is great for strength, but not enough cardio to be a big calorie burner.
Awesome job! Everyone’s HR and calories will vary for sure. During a typical 60 minute group fitness class I instruct, I’ll have 24ish people with the highest calories burn being over 1000 and the lowest being around 300. Many factors contribute to this. I believe my calorie burn for this workout was around 560ish, but I was talking the whole time 😂 You must be in excellent shape, if you’re looking for more of a challenge, try this out czcams.com/video/zoNXBVhto8Q/video.html it’s more of a hit style strength and cardio workout! There’s 3 burpee workouts - this one is the most challenging of the 3 IMO

Good workout. You mentioned that some people say that you talk too much. You don't. You are instructing throughout on form which is so important for effective results as well as safety. Some workout videos have instructors that don't give any safety information and you see (especially in a class situation) people doing it wrong. It's only a matter of time before they get injured. I just found you today! I'm so happy! My home workouts have recently gotten a bit stagnant recently and I found I was doing the same couple workouts over and over and not challenging myself. I have been doing a lot of 30 minute barre videos and they are great, but doing a whole hour pushes me a little bit further.

Wow, I really burned 500 calories during this workout (per Apple Watch). I also agree - you talk a lot and the classes are challenging. I love them both. I'm not sure I could keep going without you talking me through it! LOL. And I showed up to be challenged. That is why I'm doing a video. You've also convinced me to try to do more deltoid exercises. Amazing workout! Loving all of your hour workouts including the bootcamp ones. I do them almost everyday! And you definitely don’t talk too much! I love the motivation!!! The only thing I’m bummed about it my FitBit says I only burned 350 calories, I feel like that can’t be right. Maybe time for a new watch?!
Way to go Bri! I find that wearing devices around the wrists are sometimes way off from my heart rate monitor that straps around my chest. A lot of devices around the wrist will go by blood flow whereas a strap around the chest can detect the pulses. When I grip too hard on something I find that the HR measurement may be off (this happens to me when I get on a water rower)
However, If you find that your watch works well while doing other workouts it could be fairly accurate though. (How it calculates your HR could be off too) for example, the formula we use at OTF will be accurate for most, but for some with a fairly low heart rate it is not and we will manually adjust their zones.

Ohhhhhmyyyyyygossssssh! This was KILLER! I wanted something different than what I’ve been doing with weights and this was perfect. It’s hard! Started my Friday morning with this workout. Truly loved it! Loved how it started right away. And the cardio segment was great and acted a bit like a break🙂! I used my 2kg dumbbells (I suppose it's about 4.5lb) to start off but had to switch to 1kg when doing those front raises. Thanks for this really great workout!
