We took our son and two of his good buddies on his 8 or 9th birthday, and it was so cool! My son is now 30, so must have been 2002, don’t hold me to that date, except my son’s BD is October 4, the actual re-enactment is not done every year, but a must see incredible event for sure, with soldier’s riding horses, fighting, campsites, everything was so very realistic as they made it and did feel very authentic watching the excitement take place. Highly recommend going when the next re-enactment comes back around. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Happy Happy Birthday tomorrow on June 9, to my dear old friend Patrick , “Pappy” Felker! Luff ya forever💋
Great video of our stomping grounds!
Thank you!
Frog legs are awesome!! Cross between a fresh firm fish and chicken....best description.

lol!!
My first husband’s grandmother made stewed tomatoes 🍅 that same way. May she RIP! A fabulous cook. Interesting that she actually lived in Perryville. 😀
When I fix stewed tomatoes I have found that WW Cousins croutons ( made with their homemade buns ) are excellent as the bread in stewed tomatoes.
You’re making me want to fix some - darn you Barry. This girl rarely cooks ( or cleans ) anymore. But, I sure enjoy eating. 😂
Have a wonderful week!
You have a great week also! Now get to cooking them stewed tomatoes!
#TEAMMARY all the way!!!!! Now Goodall, you ordered some nice-looking froglegs. I'll take the catfish platter, please. Solid vlog 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾all the way.

Thank you for always sharing your videos right here in Kentucky. Born and raised in Shelby county and very proud of it. Take care and may God watch over you.

We have a dish called tomato scallop, similar to your stewed tomatoes, tomatoes, bread, onions, cheese, good stuff.
Oh yeah!!
The short history lesson was nice, only channel you can witness a tripple python and learn something 😂
lol!! Hilarious! Thank you!
Wooooohoooooo. First one this time. Awesome vid. Keep KY shining. Love the history. Love to see a run down rt 8. Campbell County down the river. Coal country side. Keep em rolling. Lenoxburg. Augusta. Maysville on down.
Thank you. I’ll be down that way at some point.
Great video sir food looked awesome and always love to hear the history of the places you visit
Thank you!
My great great great uncle fought in the Battle of Perryville.
Do you know what regiment he was in?
Awesome vid! Like the history portions you do as well living in Kentucky its especially nice!👊🏾
Thank you!
You need to try Gravelswitch station . It’s in the small town of Gravelswitch in Marion county. It has really good country cooking !!! It’s not far down the road from Pappy’s
I’ll write that down. Thank you!
good food and a history lesson cheers mate : )
Thank you!
Hey Bro, Dude you eat some of the best Restaurants Ever
Yes, I do! Thank you!
great review ...
Thank you!
My Great Great Granpa from Mississippi was captured at Fort Donaldson and shipped to Camp Douglas and was exchanged in a prisoner swap then he later died in the Siege at Vicksburg.
God bless him
My 2nd great grandfather was wounded at Ft. Donelson.
I bet those stewed tomatoes would be good with the hash brown casserole. Every now and then I like to “accentuate” my cheesy hash brown casserole with some ketchup. Lol
I did put ketchup in it after the first video clip.
Great video
Thank you!
Bragg thought Picketts charge was a win. Bureaucrat generals as they are today.
lol!! So true!
I was at Kroger and found the Grace hot sauce. I had to buy a bottle. It's good hot sauce for sure. Now I too can say i too travel with grace. That amazing grace.
Awesome!!
“I got tricked into showing a picture of Adolph Hitler’s dog once….” ROFL
lol!!
Hey Pops! I am a fan of your local food reviews and I’m curious about the kind of equipment you use to shoot your videos. I think you are using some kind of clip-on mic, probably a canon dv recorder and I presume you use an Apple laptop or desktop with some version of Final Cut.
The real reason I posted- you need a new intro jingle. The current intro looks dated and I’m a guitar player/ bassist, so I could help you out in that department.
One more thing- have you reviewed places that serve beef liver and onions? Beef liver is something that I eat once a week for nutrition reasons and I’d like to go with you on that review.
Another thing- check out Louisville’s microbreweries.
Thanks for your input. I use a I-Phone 14. I use clip on mikes that I’m still trying to get use to using correctly. I do not own a computer and do all video and editing on my phone.
Although the intro is dated, I have no plans of ever changing it. But thanks for offering to assist me in making a new one.
I do not like liver much except for chicken livers dipped in milk-pepper gravy. Beef liver and onions looks great but I can’t stand that dry taste.
I don’t think I would have wanted to stay at the Dye House during that battle. A bad omen there.
lol!!
Hey Barry you should be arrested for that Burmese python bite that was criminal you savage lol.
Wouldn’t be the first time. lol!!
Unhinged that jaw to get the burger in your mouth. Wow.
Nice dad tax 😂😂
lol!!
No snapping turtles
You missed the Burmese python/double Snap
Barry, did you teach history? Just curious because you always seem to know quite a bit about KY history
Did not teach history but have been a Civil War buff since I was five years old.
🐩
Have you been to Bluebird Cafe in Stanford?
Not yet. Thanks for the reminder.
Sheshonq!!
lol!!
Love the video and don’t take this as hating because it’s not but why don’t you make a separate channel just doing the history?
That’s why I do the history on the second half so the folks that are not interested don’t have to watch. I’m going to start incorporating things into my reviews that shows more of what Kentucky has to offer.
@@goodallscountrykitchen I like it! Especially since I am looking to relocate down there. It’s always good to know some history of a place before you go there, anyways great show Mr. Goodall and tell them boys at keep it cool with sheets to get going and make more videos
@@DB-cb8lt glad to be of help.
What is Green River breading??
Cornmeal base
Why bring those grumpy, unable-to-smile kids with you?
lol!!! I keep asking myself the same thing.
Looks like you forgot to say “Grace” before eating?
No I didn’t.
20:15 So you’re saying General Bragg liked to brag about his “victory”? Was that his real name or a nickname? 😂
Real name. Braxton Bragg
Frog legs, male or female?
Both
@@goodallscountrykitchen I like them in stilettos 👠
@@pannamal5182 lol!!
I wouldn't eat frog legs, sorry. Some things God put on this earth to eat, some not. If they taste just like chicken why not just eat chicken?
Frog legs taste better than chicken
What?? You could apply your dumbass logic to most foods, shut up
The Bible doesn't have too many good things to say about frogs. In every verse that mentions frogs it's in a negative connotation. I don't think we're supposed to eat them.
That was Old Testament law. Good thing we are saved by Grace and can still eat frogs.
2 Timothy 3:16 says all Scripture is given by inspiration of god. The New Testament hadn't been completed yet. What Scripture do you think that was referring to? Jesus constantly referred to the Old Testament. You're in the wrong brother. You can refer to Leviticus to know what meats are acceptable to eat before God. He didn't write it for no reason.
@@stevec.4741 we are not bound by the old law.
Who said we were bound? But there's some good advice there 😉
