Another outstanding episode Barry, the history lesson was fascinating. I can tell you were a teacher. It is great to see someone who respects history and with your natural curiosity.
Glad you enjoyed it
Mr. Goodall this has become my new favorite channel! After last Sunday's tornadoes came through here in west Kentucky it's great to have the power back on finally and be watching a new video from you, sir!
Glad to hear it!. Thanks for joining me again.

Hey yo big Barry, I can't help but crack up with the sound effects of wash it down with a little diet. Gets me every time. 😅
Me too 😂😂😂

Awesome history lesson! Thanks Barry

Did you notice how quickly your niece moved her phone when you were starting on the triple burger? Teehee! Chili dogs and burger made me hungry for all of them. Wife is gonna make chili burgers tomorrow for me. Thanks for the history lesson, love history. Night brother

Whoa.....triple snapping turtle! This place looks sooo good! That burger!
Very cool joint!

Great video!! Brought memories when I would go visit my late husband when he was just my fiance. I remember driving the same road you video taped. Thanks again
Thank you. Glad I could bring back good memories.
I was married on the steps of the Lincoln Marriage House in the entrance to the fort 32 years ago.
Great video Barry !
Wow!! That is really cool!
That tripple decker is for me. What a cool place. Smart having those overhead doors they can open and then secure when they close the place at night. Nice to see your guests along as well. Thanks Barry!
Thank you!
Love watching you
Thank you!
Fantastic job!!! Thanks so much for sharing this diner AND THE FORT🎉🎉🎉
I believe if i won a million trillion dollars I'd build a fort for my close family. 😂
How the heck did they make this giant pot 22:38
Also the "Three sisters"... That was so cool to learn.
Thanks again. Your not just an eating machine, your a Rolodex of knowledge!!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it.

Great kentucky history at fort harod state park
Yes it’s great!
Celebrating 250 years this June!!
It's such an interesting history of Kentucky. I had no idea.
I have a lot more coming. The Battle of Perryville is next.
Gorgeous park
Yes. I only showed a small part of it.
I had a friend in high school who was originally from Harrodsburg. He said that it was a great place and he wishes that they had never moved. Great video as always.
Thank you. Very quaint little town.
@@goodallscountrykitchen It was interesting to see some of it after hearing how nice the town was so many years ago. It looks like it still is.
@@billstout2118 like many small towns here in Kentucky. Quaint and charming.
Good job
Thank you!!
The older I get, the more I enjoy local history lessons!
The photo in Kayla's is of her grandparents, the awesome memorabilia counter display was a contribution from her Uncle Scott.❤
It was all awesome!
I just discovered your channel today and cannot get enough!! I have laughed and learned all day!! I am from Glasgow Ky and we have a great restaurant the next town over in Edmonton (home of the KY Headhunters) Minnie’s Southern Cafe LLC it is to die for. They have a buffet, great burgers -one is served on donuts and it’s fabulous. Very good food and 100% health inspections! Highly recommend!
Thank you. I’ll write that down and check it out. Glasgow looks like another quaint little Kentucky treasure.
Absolutely!! We love our sweet little town! We have great bbq restaurants we all eat pork shoulder around here❤ home cooking restaurants, and a great steakhouse.
You caught me off guard on that triple snappin turtle bite you dangerous person lol.
lol!!
The two young girls accompanying you might smile a little!!
They had a ball!
Osage orange trees were planted as windbreaks in my neck o the woods, Delhi Township has tons of them still.
Okay sir, I think you may've stumbled onto something here! I say you do the narration thing on purpose every few videos or so. It actually worked and had me crackin up more than usual because it totally did it's job, but with the added bonus of an old skool Bruce Lee flick haha. This was great
“Bruce Lee flick”. Hilarious!!!
Don’t really agree there. It seems strange hearing his actual realtime reactions later as a voiceover.
@@sturttv it was not my intention. I had to make the choice of that or scrapping the video and Kayla’s missing out on additional business.
Thanks for the tour! Great food too! Have a great weekend!
You too. Thank you!
You going off the rails Goodall slow down there you legend lol.
I can’t help it!
The burgers looked great! I really enjoyed the history lesson! I love that kind of stuff. Excellent video!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much!
Great to see you went to kaylas diner a great diner we of the @niceguyandypodcast loved
Awesome place! Thank you!
One of the standard routes to Harrodsburg from the Ohio was to follow the KY River as far as the now Anderson Co,/Mercer Co. lines, a place called Oregon Landing, where they could conveniently leave the river and walk overland the last few miles to Harrodsburg.
James Harrod and his band of explorers went that route and then went a mile overland to the Salt River which took them to The Big Spring where they established the future Harrodsburg.
@@RedBeard249 I live a few hundred yards from the Salt River in Fox Creek, KY. It would be good to have seen the Salt River prior to Taylorsville Lake. It used to be navigable in small boats til close to Harrodsburg.
Coach…recently spent a week in Harrodsburg… bummed I missed Kayla’s…but did go to the fort…your history telling is like no others….thank you sir…Jake and Scott in Troy Ohio…enjoy!
Thank you! I think the kids actually enjoyed it too. lol!!
Wonderful history review! 👍🏼
Thank you!
A great informative video, thank you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Kayla's Diner looks like it was once a mechanic's workshop, that's why the unusual memorabilia and fittings, yet there was no mention of it Barry. Of course I'd love to eat there, especially since they have the proper metal milkshake containers! Sweet childhood memories!
Good point!
It use to be Wyonnette's restaurant before it was Kayla's diner. It was amazing super cheap food I would go there and get a plate of food on a corelle plates for five dollars it was food like your momma would fix and it was so good. But when Kayla bought it she remodeled it it use to just be the part of the building where you order with tables around it was tiny but some damn good food and I miss it. May your retirement be amazing Mrs. Wyonnette
@@letseewhathappens101 very interesting story. Thanks for the information.
@@letseewhathappens101 And before Wyonnettes? 🤔
I really enjoyed every bit of this video review history infomercial and you outdid yourself....WOW

I rarely comment but i have to say i loved the history lesson. Especially the restaurant and cabins. Thanks for that! I still dont know how you can eat all that food! One chili dog and i would have been done. 😂

We definitely gave great food here in Kentucky.
That was a Burmese python bite on that chilli dog you savage lol.
Correct!!
Very interesting! Have you ever gone to Perryville? They have a rich history and have a small eatery/gas station. The town has NOT changed since the Civil War battle.
I went to a huge reenactment there about 25 years ago.
@@goodallscountrykitchen The park has been expanded to over 400 acres now. a great place to hike and go back in time!
@@kevinw9073 very beautiful park.
Going there tomorrow.
You missed a hidden treasurer called Kountry Kupboard it's a small Amish store off of 127 that makes huge fresh sandwiches get extra meat and you won't be disappointed.
It was already on my list but thanks for the reminder.
They don’t have any tables to eat on.
It’s a good thing I called. I was about to go there tomorrow.
@@goodallscountrykitchen Yes they do there's a place to eat by the door outside.
Edit ~ I haven't been there for a month but last time I was there they did have some tables tucked outside under the awning of the patio.
Thanks!
Thank you so much Phillip. I appreciate the continued support!
A Station had a blockhouse and a fort had blockhouses with walls
I love chili dogs! You ever had a loaded chili dog with slaw on it? It will make you holler Yep really loud!🌭🌭🌭
Yep!!
Lol! Beyond awesome! YEP!
Personally, I hate the audio for this video but on a positive note, I did an Instacart for my Tabasco sauce and they sent me Grace. Let me tell you now I know why you love that hot sauce it’s epic.
Thank you. I accidentally turned my mic off.
Fort Worth, Tx is in the house!
Boom!!!!
My wife ordered Grace's hot sauce because you like it so much. I'll give a review on your next video.
Awesome! Looking forward to it.
I like chili dogs.
Me 2!!
As quoted from movie Parenthood food is "looking hot, looking damn hot!"
lol!!
When you go to a restaurant, how much time filming is involved? Looks like at least an hour filming before you even get inside the restaurant to order food.
Takes about ten minutes outside. Usually 1 1/2 hours sometimes two hours. I’ve taken as much as three hours before if we’re having fun with a group.
Barry's play by play.😂 Milkshakes sound should be slower...so thick hard to suck up.
Thank you for the tip.
Was Log cabins your standard house in Kentucky? or was it for poor/middle class people?
Standard.
@@goodallscountrykitchen Yeah it reminds me of that Abraham Lincoln log cabin.
Barry, take these girls to asian, middle eastern, something ethnic and let them experience differnt flavors.Your a great dad and im just adding to your experiance,Bill North
Thank you. Will do. I’m sure they can find something I can get them
Yo eat. I really appreciate your support Bill.
