HOW TO GET ADDON FOR IOS APP? THERE IS NO SUCH OPTION IN THERE PLS HELP
@@robbincocoa There just aren't any add-ons for the app... It's not open source tool on the ios option so it's impossible to make it work. Sorry!

I am doing the exact same steps and i see the addons in the anki files but I do not see them in the Add-on sections you view through the "tools", and I am not getting any of the addons. I have a mac, Anki version 2.1.35 please help

Hi Dr. AnKing! M4 here to report an issue and the fix, as well as express my deepest gratitude for your team's work in improving and educating us about this fantastic study tool!
In the 2.1.22+ addon zip (and possibly others, IDK) the speedfocusmode addon did not work--the alert would pop up and the pause button worked, but there was no sound.
This is because the "alert.mp3" is outside of the "sounds" folder, both within in the "speedfocus_AnKing" folder. Popped that guy in the sound folder and works perfect! Thanks again, I hope this helps

For those who are using a PC and trying to unzip into the "C:\Users\[YOUR PC PROFILE NAME HERE]\AppData\Roaming\Anki2" folder, the name of the zip file is different from the addons21 folder as we see in the video. You can either unzip the file, rename it to addons21 and then drop it into the Anki2 folder and merge, OR simply unzip the file, open it, and copy all of its contents (ctrl+a to highlight all objects in the folder and either ctrl+c to copy or right click and select copy) into the addons21 folder directly (open the addons21 folder and paste the contents from your clipboard). Hope this helps.

Hi! Not sure if you're still replying...but I'm attempting to do this on Mac, and I'm only getting as far as the step to replace the files. When I go to do so, instead of getting a dialogue asking if I want to replace the files, it only asks me if I want to move the folder from iCloud to Mac. I'm not sure if this is an OS problem, or something...and I'm not sure how to fix it.

Hey Anking! The installation worked well and all add ons are great, but since I installed I've noticed bugs eg words not appearing in the cards even after editing them. Could this be related, and how do I sort it out?
Will your most recent add-on +40 work with version 2.1.65 (aa9a734f)? I can't seem to get nightmode to work or get the heat map to work either.
Im so confused I downloaded everything, extracted it in te right folder and I dont have any addons

I've downloaded and installed the 2.1.31 file. Do I also need to have the other files downloaded and installed too (2.1.26 etc..)?
I downloaded all your add-ons but now I have a stary background and barely see the text of my Decks, how do i disable? Which add-on customizes the background? Also I am on Windows and I don't have any of the options you have under "View" up top.
I did exactly as it instructs but it is not working... any help? I had AMBOSS downloaded before and its still there but no other add ons are visible in the addons tab...
Is there a way to see how many cards you missed on a day or what they are?

I'm confused after adding on add ons. My Amboss add on is not working, along with Customize Keyboard Shortcuts.
I am running the newest version of Anki and getting this error message when opening after I installed the 2.1.22+ add-on package, "An error occurred. Please start Anki while holding down the shift key, which will temporarily disable the add-ons you have installed." Are there some add-ons that are not compatible with the newest version that I need to disable?

Anking, Ladd, Andrea -- I have 2.1.26 and was also having the error messages regarding some problematic add-ons. I had already turned off a few that I didn't know how to work but the one that seemed to do the trick was "Symbol As You Type". I was able to fix and reproduce the issue by enabling and disabling this addon. I hope it works out for you too!
This keeps happening to me too! Not sure how to tackle this...does anyone have any advice?
I had 34000+ cards for step 1 v8.. i updated to v9/v4 for step 1 and step 2.. now there is 25236 cards in step 1 tag and 14695 in step 2 tag .. and when i click on Anking deck from browse (both step 1 and step 2 ) it shows 34142 , not 40000+ as you said .. did i do something wrong ?

after i installed the add-ons, i get an error message when trying to copy-paste something on the cards. the problem solves itself when i disable all the add-ons, so thats what causing the trouble. the problem is that i dont know which add on is causing the error. any advice?
I have tried so many times to do this on windows but no luck. When I press view files, it opens my Local Disk C > Users > PC > AppData > Roaming > Anki2 and i drag addons21 into my user profile named (AnkingPlease). Then I close out anki and open it back up and still no add ons show.

Also, yesterday something updated in my anki and the tags in the browser are all messed up. How can I fix it? (before it used to be "AK_Step1, AK_Step2" and now is "AK_Step1::B&B::Behavioral science..." all the way down without the previous tags). Thanks for all the help!
I already tried to restore a backup but it didn't solve the problem... :(
The Hierarchical Tags add-on recently has been experiencing problems. You could try disabling it and then downloading the Blitzkrieg add-on for tags instead.
Just updated Anki to 2.1.31 and got the new addons package. the folder names are different so it doesn't give me the option to replace. Do I need to/should I delete the old addons21 folder? Just trying to have a fresh start with addon package that works together because something went wrong with the old addons and some stopped working.
You could copy in all the addons within the folder to your addons21 folder and replace any overlap. Or just delete your addons21 folder and install the new one

Prior to downloading this pack and the hoochie set, when I hit control+enter to make a card, the cursor would already be in the box ready to start typing a new card. Now, I need to either hit tab or manually click the box in order to start making another card. Was this the cause of an add on or did I change a setting by accident? How can I fix this for a smoother carding experience?
I don't know of any add-ons that affect this and on mine I can still do cmd (ctrl)+ enter to make a new card

I'm returning to Anki after several years away. I wonder if I should first get comfortable with the vanilla version or just jump in with this whole package of add-ons? (I'm using Anki for language/vocabulary study.)

If you're referring to our version of the speed focus add-on that can pause, the shortcut is set to "P"
It's my first time to use Anki so it's expected to have some problems.
First i installed the latest version but i saw this video and u recommended 2.1.15 to use the Add-one so i downloaded it but i have a problem with installing the Add-one at the part of browsing. When i click browse it opens a folder not that blue window in ur video. what is the problem ?

For some reason i have my deck preference set to new cards before review and i have my deck options set to 200new cards/day , but anki is still showing me old cards rather than new/unseen cards. Any idea why? I have a deck of 300 cards with 18 new cards left that it won't let me see those 18 cards. my test is in 3 months and i want to be able to get through 8,000 cards in that time. Thank you!
Are all your subdecks set to the same thing? In the options settings you can click "manage" at the top right and then click "set for all subdecks"
@@AnKingMed just double checked and set set for all subdecks and still no luck sadly. i synced and let it everything reset. I thought for sure that would work as you suggested. Essentially i'm still getting 18 new cards but they aren't showing up as the first cards but rather old review or learning cards show up
Try shift clicking when you open Anki to see if it’s caused by an addon

That is my 1st time ever i use anki app ... i downloaded v5 and these addons on windows ( anki 2.1 19) ... but every time i open app by computer or do a browse ... there is message error & tell me to delete addons till i find which one causing this problem ... what can i do ?

Yes they are. You probably have an add-on that isn't compatible with Anki 2.1.17+. I'd recommend staying on 2.1.15 if you want any add-ons that modify the sidebar until they've all been ported or make sure you have the hiearchical tags designed for 2.1.17+
I'm on Windows with Anki 2.1.22 and having trouble getting this to work.When I go to the add-ons menu, I think the option I want is "Install from file." But when I go in this dialog box, it only recognizes file type *.ankiaddon and doesn't recognize your files. Any suggestions? I'm a premed student and would love to get this add-on package to install.
You need to click the view files on the add on window near the bottom right and then need to go back to the parent file as seen in 0:45. Import the files into this folder.
Got it! Once clicking on view files, I had to copy that add-on path into a new file explorer. Then in file explorer, I copied your folders into that add-on path, restarted ANKI, and boom. Slightly different for Windows than the video but same idea. Excited to try some of these add-ons for my MCAT studying.
How does this work for windows?

Very frustrating to follow. Can we request this video be redone and show more detail (for mac/windows) the file download process, where you are dragging things to and from, etc? Anki IS NOT user friendly

Go to add-ons-> check for updates and then restart and see if it works

No it won't. 2.1.50+ breaks a ton of addons and I wouldn't recommend using it just yet. I will update things once I recommend it

Super quick to add the add-ons! However, when I do anki on my ipad tablet now the font size of the clickable first aid and sketchy tags has drastically increased and not sure how to solve it. Anyone know if thats due to a specific add-on?
Addons don’t do anything on the app so it’s probably just that you need to tweak the card styling
@@AnKingMed Ah probably bc I also updated to 2.1.20. Sorry anki noob here but any suggestions on how to change the card styling?
@@warzone504 If you go into the styling section of the card, you can change the max-width on mobile to a different percentage and that will change the size of the images for your cards.

As Lukas said, try another browser. It should let you download them all at once.

I am having trouble dragging the files onto Anki. When I try dragging it into the add ons box the file has a red circle with a dash across it. Any help? I am trying to do this on a surface pro (Windows 10)
On the PC you'll have to "View Files" from your add-ons page within Anki to see where these files are kept on your computer. Then try to drag the downloaded add-ons file into this folder to replace the current "addons" folder. If you can't do it from here, it means you have to open up the file location directly from your computer and not from Anki.

HI, I have downloaded the Anki 2.1.42 version. After isntalling all these ad ons, my anki crashed and isnt opening at all saying some of the adons failed to load and startup failure. Help.
I dont have an addon folder that works with Anki 2.1.41+ yet. You'll need to install an earlier version of anki

I recently just updated my Anki 2.0 to Anki 2.1. I added all the add-ons from this video, the card is fine but now when I click the answer I receive a "Invalid HTML on card: SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token" Does anyone know how to fix this? Please HELP panic mode.

After downloading and inputting the 40 add-ons, I am not able to browse my decks. When I click on browse, it says that I would have to disable each add-ons to see which add-on is causing this. Is this happening to anyone?
You must be on a newer version of anki that doesn't quite work with all the add-ons. I'd recommend grabbing the folder for the right version and then go to add-ons->check for updates and make sure things are up to date

@@aashir786ss Make sure the zip file is extracted and the files are in exactly the same folder as described in the video. You might try going into anki "add-ons" window and clicking "view files" and drag all the add-ons into the folder that pops up.
@@AnKingMed Yes for windows 10 you have to manually Ctl+A the files in the zip folder and paste them into the window that pops up when you "view files"

A deck is not the same as an add-on. An add-on is an additional software. I would look for a DAT bootcamp bio deck on Reddit.com

Are you on the newest version of Anki? If so, night mode is built-in and you should delete the nightmode add-on and restart.
Ive followed all these steps a million times and every time I do it nothing come up once I restart anki. After I click view files I dont have the like anki folder you have on our screen.
Now every time I come onto Anki it says error and that I must hold the shift key... How do I fix this ? It won't pull up my cards now.
@The AnKing actually took some time to figure it out... for anyone with the .30 version the add-on AMBOSS needs to be disabled and then it works perfectly!! thanks for the help your videos are amazing.
I have a question. If my test day is in two months, how can I change the limits so that the algorithm stays consistent instead of reviewing for years.
Ideally if your test is in two months and your card will schedule to 3 months, you just leave it because that means you should remember the card after 3 months. We're going to make a video on this topic in the future. You can also use custom filtered decks to cram

After downloading and installing the add-on file, I noticed that there's a big AnKing logo at the bottom of the home page. It's semi-transparent. Is there a way to remove that logo?
Oh that was an error I made. Delete and reinstall the “more deck stats and time left” addon

I got it to work, when you go to tools- add ons-view files, highlight the folders in the zip file, copy and paste it to the windows that opens when you click on view files.

Windows 10, just upgraded from 2.1.15 to 2.1.22 and cannot get it to work...I only had a handful of add ons prior to viewing this video and I deleted them all to try to make it work (since they were all going to be added back anyways).... any help?
Read Streller can you provide more information? A screenshot of where your folder is located would be helpful. Is it not loading the addons, has an error message?
