You should do a tutorial on how to make the program itself bigger by going to -->Tools-->Preferences-->User interface size and increase it. I didn't know it until today and I'm sure it can be helpful to many others!

Css styling is wonderful. But settings for android app in dark mode has many issues. Especially hint font and background colors are very differs from desktop view. I couldn't achieve to match them.
Hi Anking, is there a way to fix or lock the font style for both anki desktop and ankdroid? I have a font working fine in desktop but totally different when I export the .apkg and import to ankidroid.
I may be missing it but how do you make the hint front interchangeable? Meaning, the hint font size before clicking one size and the revealed hint another size. I wanted to make the word "hint" small and the actual hint bigger so that when it's revealed it is readable.

I am very confused. I am trying to allow the sketchy field to always be open, but there is no "hint:sketchy". instead, this is all I find in the back template {{#Sketchy}} Sketchy{{/Sketchy}}

I have a large screen so it would be preferable to see something like first aid image on the left and sketchy image on the right side all on the same screen if possible.

@@joshuafinerty4133 That is a bug in the custom filtered decks. I believe they have fixed it if you use the V2 experimental scheduler, but otherwise I would not use custom filtered decks with new cards
This is far too difficult for any who are browsing for a reason. You need to show straightaway how all this fits into the big picture - the reference frame. You assue too much and so should begin each lesson with what you are assuming is the onlooker's Anki knowledge and experience and then point to the other resources - CZcams clips, manual pages etc that will get the onlooker to the point where this clip makes sense and so can be useful. If you want Patreon subscriptions, you are going about it the wrong way. Jim Murray

We aren't aware of a feature that allows this. You can have the hint appear immediately without having to click or press any buttons by going into the card styling and deleting "hint:" before the field name.
Is there a way to change the size of the cloze brackets? For example: instead of it being like this [...], can you make it [........] . This would help me when there are several cloze's to one card. sometimes I feel like the 3 dot size of the cloze is too small. I hope this makes sense. I have been researching for what seems like forever and I can't figure out if that is even an option. Thank you!!

It's definitely a lot to take in at first if you're not familiar with the coding languages. But watch it and do some of the steps alongside and you'll learn a lot about how to customize your card style! Good luck!
Hi everyone. I'm new to Anki, and have been using Anking. Sometimes I want to add a card to an Anking deck, and the card type that I want has three fields: front, back, and “extra” (in case I want to add a screenshot). I cannot seem to find that card type. I’ve tried making my own card type, but am not having any luck. Does anyone have any advice here? (I am aware that I can use the "Cloze" card type and just put the answer in the cloze at the bottom, but I want to try to resolve this first.)
On the 'Add' screen click the ‘Fields’ button and add a field called ‘Extra’ to that. Then go back to the add screen and click on the 'Card' button. On the 'Back Template' Section, paste in this code: {{FrontSide}} {{Back}} {{Extra}} Hope this helps :)

your example in the begining uses "font-weight:italic" which makes no sense at all. If you want italic characters you should be using "font-style:italic".
for god's sake, why do people make it harder? can't you just set up a temple for us to download? I got a headache from those anki videos, i prefer to waste my time learning than watching 1-hour videos just to get a better look holy sh8 so complicated

It is too complicated. The interface of Anki 2 is completely unintuitive.

You can copy the Note type that you've created and like that create a new Note type.

You just uncheck the "reschedule based on my answers" box when making your custom filtered deck
The AnKing I mean, without messing up cards in the learning or relearning state. When they are put into a filtered deck, they are reset to new.
