one of the mighty roots era harmony duos, Vernon Buckley and Gladstone Grant. Wonderful voices blending together. They started at the very beginning of the reggae era, releasing singles in 1968. This post is a fine example of their mature style. From vinyl, mate, , just the way it should be! Thanks for this excellent upload!
thanks :)
Big shout out to Maytones from back in the day's May Pen, and the Seven's Rd Crew also the farm crew
Yes, man. These are great songs and great singers, wonderful band! This is true... Jah music!
Thanks for the information

I agree completely
I want to thank whoever put this here and to appreciate CZcams for providing the platform.
This took me far back! It brings back great memories, memories of my innocence and love for music.
God bless us all.
Thank to all my fans and all the music lovers . My name is music captain udoka Kalu
My uncle was addicted to good music back in days though i was very young then but was inducted to the addiction till date
I heard this piece for the first time at Enugu (Nigeria) about 1976/77 while on long term holidays as a high school student. My taste for it has never changed till this day. One of the best renditions of reggae music.
This is the type of music that brings out the beauty of life
Thanks!!
True dat man
I can't stop loving this song, I am in love with reggae music so much
I remember my dad playing this album all the time. I love reggae so much ❤️
Perfection 2021 ❤️🇬🇧
I grew up listening to this monstrosity of an album. My dad was a badass music collector. I just had to look for it again. I am feeling seriously nostalgic.
I remember when my dad bought this album i was about 7 years old, we couldn’t stop playing it, the harmonies just blew you away. Top album.
Cleanliness is Godliness and the good you do lives after you.God bless this madness
Sweet madness indeed..
Judgement a come
One of the best reggae lovers music of the 70s... no doubt.
Easy Maytones!
Real Muzik keep the Fyah Blazing!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯%
This is it. I miss those days
100%. This was when music was part of life, Food for the soul. These are Angels. I remember my teen-age years. Music is dead! OMG!
Not quite so my brethren. The reason just changed with the seasons. Music isn't dead; it just got wayward. Great music as such used to be created as an expression of rare talent. Nowadays, an attempt is made in pursuit of bread on the table...
Oh yes, this music will never fade, 🎶❤️🌿
Where are these guys? Luv dem muzik.
Muito obrigado te agradeço
Best oldies ever
When you speak about harmonies this group has got it right
Oooohh ohh,Am proud of my father for opening my eyes 👀 to some of the greatest tunes music 🎶 has to offer.dad u r my musical HERO.LOVE U TO DE MAXXX.

Great music from great mind. Wonderful for our generation to learn and to apply and the messages and the lyrics.
Remembering the very good old days , hope that they could comeback
Sorry wishful thinking those days won't come back
The joy I had the first time I saw this music in U tube. It brings tears to my eyes because my uncle who had the collection is dead, all the good people we enjoyed it together are dead. The blending is so excellent, thanks to this duo for this gift to man kind.may God bless them.
Voice, the harmony sends you to the back of "Heaven ".
Heads up to my wonderful ex father in law .... a white man born in Jamaica 🇯🇲 who bought them to my life much respect......Always ❤️🇬🇧💯
They harmonised so sweetly
Excelente que maravilla.
70/80 esto fue lo mejor del reggae roots auténtico 🇧🇴.
Nota. A los 90 que no os gustó no lleváis esto en el ❤️
These tunes were some of my mother's favourites. Bless up!
i thank God i found it...
Classic. Harmonies blend in perfectly. I am reminded of the movie Rockers and the song Money Worries
This was the lead on Burning Sounds' red vinyl sampler. Everytime I played it, this was the perfect start to a truly epic record label showcase. Putting "Mighty" in your groups name was a thing in the late 70's. It was truly deserved for them. Mighty harmony mon. Thank you.
The best music of our time

One of my favourites
I still have the cd of this all time favourite oldies of mine, great reggae music indeed
What a memory refresher. Beautiful music in every respect. The second tract, "the Ital Queen" was always used during wedding ceremonies. I think the lyrics are still relevant today. I recommend it, and the following tract: "God bless the day I found you" for newly wedded couples and perhaps those going through turbulent moments in their marital lives. Cheers Mighty Mytones!!!
When life was sweet. Back then in Nigeria it used to be allnight rocking and cruesing especially during holiday times.
They do not make music like this anymore relax the soul and the body and mind
A million thanks to You tube . Great music
Som bom de recordar . Só trazem boas lembranças
Classic old school.. great harmony
This song still remains relevant! One of my Dad's favorites
Love the Burning Sounds 12" singles and LPs so much!!! Straight out and up from the sweetest spot in the evolution of reggae music--UK "pop" reggae, mislabeled a just a tad. This one never made it far enough west or east for me to wrap my ears around it's exquisiteness. Big up gratitude to Rastawelt you have a brand new (second hand) subscriber in WA.
Jah rastafáry são lindas músicas reggae roots de qualidade desse grupo the maytoness

Fantastically Brilliant Album, True Classic Reggae! Note:
Typo error: Song number 5 on the tracklist should read "Funny Man" and not father and mother.
Funny Man is the original version from 1970. Father & Mother has the same lyrics but it's a remake for this album.
Só pedra no LP
LOVE ROCKSTEADY.
