- Kudos to mikige1 for already uploading this (sorry brother, didn't realise, it wasn't there a week ago when I checked and thought "hmm, I've gotta post that one"), but it's a seminal tune that should be heard in as many places as possible - and here it is with the version.
On Mango from 1976. The version is called Mad Dub and is by the GG Allstars.

Ask most Jamaicans , what do they know about the renaissance period and they will equate it to Europe and America. However, what they don't know is, Jamaica had its renaissance in the fifties through to the late seventies when countless artistes used their craft to enlighten the nation about social and political issues . This is one of the many songs that did that .
I've had three radio shows on both US coasts that focus exclusively on Jamaican music from 1962 until about 1982....my favorite period was 1966-68, the rocksteady tunes over 4,000 of them running through my head and heart. The Maytones are among my favorite...But I'm hoping father will change this situation, for it bad, man it dreadful...yes it dreading up earth...this applies now more than ever.
This music makes me remembered my late brother BANIGA , he played the music always early in morning way back 70 in Ado Ekiti
