I miss these design episodes. It was really cool to see you guys design a piece of furniture and break it down
This is usually my favorite type of content from them.
@@b.lapolis same, seeing the design process is great especially follow up episodes
Wyrmwood is a premium furniture company, I enjoy seeing premium furniture content.
Poozy my dice but don't poozy my table.
Doug going back into production and working with Jason, Ian, and the team to make a Pooz-Prophecy would be such a great series. 😅
Ian's steady hand, straight line drawing appreciation comment.
That straight line is impressive.
The trick is in the middle finger resting on the edge of the wood, and locking the fingers holding the pencil, so the line becomes parallel to whatever the middle fingers is resting against.... Classic woodworking trick.
You should come to ESSEN SPIEL game fair in October and present your tables and do the kickstarter afterwards, so that people can check out the tables in person.
thats what they used to do
The CEO has spoken, get to work on it, Doug! Matt wants a Pooz Prophecy!
Matt for CEO
OMG finally an Australian MGT Kick-starter.
That would have been us 12 months ago. We found a local company (down in Victoria - which sadly has since gone bust) and spent the money for a table there. But may it be redone, when the money gods smile 😂
@@leahgault557oh those guys went bust? The guys who were at PAX ?That's sad.
It's great to see Australia getting some attention, though I don't know too many in the hobby to spend what'll likely be $25000+ on a gaming table
@@jazzeejax5816- Sadly, yes, Gameway, the small gaming table company from Melbourne (who were at the last two PAX Aus, I believe), went belly up around Jan/Feb(?)… As near as we can tell, they were (very quietly!?) sub-contracting the actual table building to another company, and that wood-working company went bust, unfortunately dragging Gameway down with them (leaving _a whole bunch_ of unfilled table orders)… A genuine loss to the Aussie gaming community… 😞
@@ToxicWrench- I had Gameway make me a fully custom table in QLD Walnut, loosely based on the Prophecy and MGT, for a good deal less than the AUD cost of a Prophecy in Black Walnut, and probably a Black Walnut MGT, too (though I guess I’ll know for sure come September)… 🤔
The biggest tragedy for me is that if they’d done the Aus KS campaign 12 months ago, I’d have not only been in the financial position of being able to buy an MGT, I actually would have bought one (in addition to my Gameway table)… But this year it’s incredibly doubtful…
Too little, too late for my family… 😖
That song is 100% stuck in my head for at least the rest of the day
I'm with Doug. I could never hear the word diceapalooza again and die happy! Annoying from day one how it became this term for everything.
On a better note...love the episode.
I'm with you, but been too afraid to speak up. The comment section love for the pooz is strong. To me, this company is all about wood working, no outsourced glittery plastic. I buy my dice by the pound from the reject bin t the comic shop, I buy my wooden products from Wyrmwood.
@@MrSciencetist23 I thought I was alone too.
Let the pooz resistence begin! Lol
Okay that diceapalooza animation was AMAZING
"Got a design in your head? Better call Crazy ED!"
Thank you
Prophepalooza! We need an epoxy liquid core prophecy with LED lights.
Spend thousands on a remodel......still holds meetings in an unfinished dimly lit basement. Love it!
Wow, I've seen a lot of Prophecy table videos in the past years and this is one of my favorite. Thanks for going behind the curtain so to speak to explain everything in more detail. I can see wanting to watch this video many times to fully appreciate the effort and design you describe.
The table should be called the theives guild.
The battle of the Prophets and Poozas has begun!!!!
PvP !!!! *round 1* *begin*
It was great to see a design episode, but it was great to see more about the prophecy table
I almost didn’t watch this because of the title. Turns out it was delightful!
If you're bringing your tables to Australia, You should do a collaboration with Popcultcha
A pooz table is needed just for the memes but I'm more of a classic design if I was getting my own table. Another idea would be to make a pooz table to give away.
Crikey, an Aussie Kickstahtah! 'bout bloody time, mate!
as an aussie this just reads wrong, its as if steve was a bogan instead from the bush lol that or someone from overseas using words they think aussies use haha
@@archer9076 as an Aussie, I dialled it up to 11 for entertainment purposes 😉
@@BigScaryMonster ahhhh got ya carry on hahaha
"All sizzle, no steak," perfectly sums up (for me) the 'pooz' that's been going around. I love the shop talk. It's so gratifying to learn things. The hype for clicky clacky math rocks can be entertaining, but I'll never really feel full from that candy.
For going free hand (well using the edge of the table on his finger tip), Ian got some shockingly parallel lines drawn at 15:20
SOLVE THE EDGE GROOVE! Only complaint of my Prophecy is how many components fall under the raised play surface!
We use two pieces of white rope sitting in the groove when the surface is down. In other news, the black fiber cleaning thing deteriorates after a few years. The playing surface fabric should be replaceable without woodworking. People also love sticking their fingers in the mechanism holes, which winds up on the playing surface. The holes need a plug. The finish gets smacked and comes off. The BoRo still looks great. And where the heck can we buy a topper block? Love the table, it gets loved several times a week by quite a few people.
Ian is super good at drawing straight lines.
I love the multiple woods of the adventure series but I also recognize that different woods age differently with light/oxidation. I shudder a bit when I think about the impact of certain woods over time. Its one thing to replace a dice vault to refresh your wood colors when you want but a whole new level of money is no object if you want to refresh the wood on a Prophecy table. Then again you can never have enough board game tables if your bat cave is large enough... so maybe its just a slow expansion of your game room as you swap out your favorite table with a reset and push your replaced tables to fill out your table inventory for large parties. Such an inventory of aged Wyrmwood tables would be very instructive actually in terms of setting expectations of various woods over time. I've found a few dice vault videos that serve this purpose on a small scale but it would be VERY interesting to see the impact on something as large as a prophecy over time. Would really help the Prophecy owners understand the significance of their choice of wood and potential placement of table (basement low light vs dining room higher light exposure)
On a side note, I can't wait for this palooza thing to be over.
First of all, team Pooze all day every day. Second of all, as long as we are working on a bit of a redesign how about on the side that the wheel plugs in on, instead of having an unsightly hole, you have a magnetic wormwood logo that just comes off. You know, since you are known for your magnetic attachments.
You should come to pax aus and have the australian kickstarter running to get a few more sales
They forgot, Matt is always right. Listen to Matt.
Guys this is the wyrmlyfe ive so missed, just the classic design team just absolutely hamming out on a dope idea that i wish I had the money for holy shit 😩 THAT is Pooze right there
Today I have resigned to start a new business and also bought my first home. I swear to god if you exclude New Zealand in your MGT kickstarters..... just let me have everything I want!
"Pooz My Prophecy" is such a good tagline though! (Crazy Ed could design it!)
LAYER OF DUST….must write things….the urge is so strong!
The signature series GM screen wood pattern would be crazy cool on a prophecy table.
Topper - critically, the Padauk elements MUST be colour-matched. That sample DM screen has me screaming because of how mismatched the two Padauk sections look.
Next week - Bobby and Ed reveal the Pooz Prophecy Prototype, using every kind of wood and seventeen kinds of glitter. Heck, chuck some RGB in there...
MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED, AUSTRALIAN KICKSTARTER. I LOVE YOU
Team Looza Represent.
Shield should be a Padauk tree on a Wenge background with a Maple edging to give the shield shape/pop without making the whole thing distract from the beauty of the table as a whole.
AUSTRALIA!!! Damn, I gotta be in on that one 😍!!
Love the idea of the wood pairings on the table. I think the rails being a different color as the veneers would be really interesting.
For a thief table set you could use a Wenge table, Maple rail accessories, and Padauk chairs
My initial reaction to the armrest banding is it’s going to look like racing stripes on a formula 1 race car. Will be interesting to see how that goes with the rest of the very classy and high quality features of the prophecy
We need a short of Doug (Loozas) v. Bobby (Poozas) using the fight music that is all over the place now a days.
What about naming them with Guild, has multiple meanings: Gilded, as well as the meeting place for them where the table would be 😏 . The Rogue's Guild
So, if you're making a Thief class themed table, would that mean the other classes would or could become available in the future? Also, it was quite heartwarming to see Doug go oldschool with the table paper being used to sketch out his thinking on various ideas; haven't seen that in a long time, and it really needs to come back, because it highlights Doug's stream-of-consciousness thinking.
When doing the design, need to approach it like other manufacturing. You have main colour, primary accent colour, and secondary accent colour.
Then just following that scheme for any colour/wood combinations.
Best show on CZcams
The Prophecy needs a mini Roomba! Pooze!~
Team Pro-Looza!!
The Pro is for Profit
It's a challenge and we're gonna win! Product over gimmick! Pro-Looza for life!
The editing had me in stitches.
All nice ideas, as a woodgrain aficionado I would propose reversing the woodgrain direction and doing a massive bookmatch on the toppers, maybe using the vacum dried slab skins from Matt Cremona!
I was hoping you guys would be looking at what people like/dislike about Prophecy and actually re-designing the table into version 2.0 so that the style and function are improved. Disappointed that you're just looking into adding color pops on the 1.0 version with no other changes to form/function, and then offering a presumably even more cost prohibitive "signature" and "custom" option of the same table.
this was a great episode, I really miss these style of design videos. Keep up the great work Poozas!
I'm all about this rogue Prophecy! Love the shield as is, though it can't hurt to see how the other combos work together.
That outro song was poozin! Also: We NEED a super poozin prophecy backers can win when pledging for dicapalooza! I'm talking acrylic glitter inlays, LED strips in the vault, discoball mirrors on the walls of the vault. You take these toppers off and enter a 70s night club!
OMG that track on the outro! and the tease!
108K!!!
You finally did it!
Love the budding hardening of the 'channels' - you can keep it under one roof, but a clear demarcation between : Prophecy-tier stuff, MGT-tier stuff and Pooze-tier stuff is, IMO a good idea. Confusion is almost never good, and a bleed of such varying 'scale' things has been happening for a while.
Also, A++ episode.
You may not come back from Australia. I hear they love Americans and I know they'll love your tables!
looz table and pooze dice, sounds fine with me, but more importantly europe and australia launch lets gooooo
I mean the Poozas have a theme song…so…someone is clearly winning
Yeeees EU! Super curious how the rogue table is gonna look though, could be just the thing to go with my DM screen…
Saw "AUS" and I'm watching right now!
It would be interesting to see if there was a way to introduce a kit that could convert a modular game table to a prof. With being able to raise and lower the play surface.
Also if you made some of the accessories in rogue color for the modular table. I'd definitely pick some of those up.
The Rogue table is going to look really good - I really hope no stripes on the armrest surface, though. I think it'll make it look cheap, but the padauk on the beveled edges, padauk interior? Yeah, that'll look great.
that to be the biggest tease i have ever seen yet from you'll!
I'm totally looking forward to the look on Dougs face in the liquid core all resin Prophesy table making episode. Seriously though you need to make a one off resin pour pooza table even if its a lilliput. But maybe its a standing height lilliput so it doubles as a bar?
DAMN that dice jingle is POOZYING!
Man I LOVE these types of videos. Pass on the Pooz, I want that Looza Life if I get more of this!
Oh Yeah. Love the EU Kickstarter. ❤
ok that theme was pretty fire
Can you guys do a video about all the seating options you have? The Prophecy seating, Modular seating, Starter chairs, whatever you've got! Those couple seconds around the 8:00 mark blew me away. Also, can Prophecy seating be ordered separately to go with the Modular table?
Why doesn't the prophecy have self-storing toppers? Can't you add 2 rails underneath that the toppers can slide onto?
You guys should look into a gear ratio for the Prophecy lift system. Having to crank it that much for such little travel distance is a real hassle.
Now showing 108k subs! very Poozy
I am excited for this.
THIS IS WHAT WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR! SOMETHING FOR THE PROPHECY!!! AND DICE!
I think if you do this with padauk or purpleheart, a great contrast wood to work in would be spalted maple. While i won't ever afford it, i think it would be a stunning combo.
I would do a 3D design. I'm sure you already have the 3d model from the website. Just masking for each type of wood. Would be super quick after that to visualize the prophecy in all the variations
If you just did a decorative style inlay around the armrest that would make it pop and it reduce the labor on that aspect and then on the aprons have reversed color shield that would be hot
Yes!!! Finally a chance for MGT in europe for me 😊
For the logo I would like to see a paduke background with a wenge tree and shield.
That corner IS that corner, Finkle is Einhorn, Einhorn is Finkle...
That episode slapped
Is anyone else wishing for more content or Kickstarters on the Modular Desk? It's the one product from Wyrmwood that I would love to grab and it seems to get the least amount of love (minus the prophecy).
Instead of the logo on the table, why don't you make it where it can use the DM Screen Display Insert.
that outro song was fire!
i would love it if bobby made a legacy pooze vault in a prophecy with a classy out side with some colorful poozed designs scattered around (eg on the legs and stuff) but on the inside is the pooze vault where the party is at staring the full pooze colors on a custom play matt and custom woods
Excited to see the Prophecy when it's done. Shame I could never afford it 😢
Doug knows what he's doing, and I'm here for it 😆
Good to see the original Doug back to put an end on the Pooz!! :P
Jokes on the side, I get why you are doing the Prophecy table, but I think we see custom designs for the MGT. I am not a woodworker , but everytime I see that table, I think it is a base for a custom project...
2 story lines going on at wyrmwood right now and neither give a crap about their current ongoing mgt 3.0 kickstarter campaign lol
You should test out what accessories look good once the demo table is made. Should the accessories be wenge, maple or padauk
I really hope I can put something down for the Kickstarter in August, just dreading the cost
Unsolicited thoughts as an MGT owner who can't justify the Prophecy $$: A dining table is a critical piece of furniture to a household. It perceptively anchors both the family and visitors in one of the most important spaces. Even if you live alone or you don't have a super nice table, taking good care of that space brings joy and peace to everyone in the house. Not to get too feng shui about it, I'm just saying it's a big deal to everyone.
I think Jason is 100% right to default towards simple, classical, elegant design choices because that's absolutely the main function of that piece of furniture. I think that's why espresso maple MGT was such a popular choice when it was offered, and it's why walnut is up there as well. The dining function of the table should bring that sort of classical design performance. I think if you put an inch of padauk around the edge... it's going to look GREAT in the shop, it's going to absolutely kill at shows... but it might not work in everyone's dining space.
It might be preferable to have the dining function of the table be "stealth," and then when you open it up to game, there's this elegant pop of something unexpected. That'd be the true marriage of Prophecy and Pooz.
"I'm just saying it's a big deal to everyone."
It's not. I live alone in a small house an it was much more important to me to have kitchen counters than a dining table. In fact, I do not own a dining table and am not bothered by the absence of one in the least.
@@dealbreakerc “Men will really live like this and not see a problem.”
You’ll likely change your mind eventually, but by all means enjoy your time now.
Is there any future tables in the works? perhaps with a new style or innovative mechanics or improvements on the prophecy table? I think its time for crazy ed to step in because it honestly feels like all thats been happening this year is reskins of the same exact table. its like fortnite or apex legends with every quarter rereleasing the same thing but with a different color scheme (wood layout scheme)
Ease include New Zealand! It's Mt. 40th this year. I'll start saving up!
I'd buy a Pooz table, with the crazy colour ways from the logo and merch.
can we go full Poozy on a table for the launch ? I'm talking hot pink felt purple heart laminated with with some maple maybe do some bronze inlay get wild with it just pooz it up
