- After the rainy season ended, the number of mosquitoes increased tremendously.
I have caught many mosquito larvae, but I have never seen so many mosquito pupae.
The next day, dozens of mosquitoes became adults and I gave them to the jumping spider.
The next day too many mosquitoes became adults and this time I decided to give them to the praying mantis.

Did you name the mantis?
as someone who is trying so many ways to stop mosquitos from biting this is satisfying to watch hahaha
I use Baby oil mixed with a few drops of pure peppermint oil. Like a quarter of baby oil and a drop or two of peppermint per body section. Works like a charm! It also tingles a little
i mean like is kinda true but for me is a bit disgusting to watch that the mantis are eating mosquitos.. liek is harmful (not being rube)

I loved this one, I felt disappointed at the spider’s performance but it was just so satisfying to see the mantis hunt mosquitoes like me eating snacks.

They have incredible eyesight so it already knew the mosquito was there before it touched its leg and while they don't have emotional intelligence they do have calculative intelligence when it comes to judging distance, speed and even identifying dangerous parts of it's prey, manrises can identify that wasps and bees for example have stingers and will often chew off the stinging end before they continue eating, they also know to chew off any spiky or dangerous legs and limbs first and start eating prey head first.

안녕하세요. 저는 오랫동안 봐온 시청자 한명입니다. 알고리즘에뜬 사마귀 키위의 영상을 봤는데 재밌어서 계속보게됐었어요. 전 키위를 처음부터 끝까지 보고왔어요 느낀점은 키위는 언제나 우리곁에 있습니다. 제발돼라님 덕분에 곤충학자의 꿈을 가졌어요. 앞으로 모든 사마귀종류를 모으는게 목표입니다.

Interesting to watch. Praying Mantise's are the biggest threat and predator in the insect world. Fascinating to see their skills in such a habitat
Centipedes might take the cake, those guys are psychopaths. Mantids are quite interesting, though.
@@TheCryptidman Not quite so sure. Centipedes are savage, but Mantises are way smarter. Offense is the best defense. They have high speed and claws. A Centipede just have their well known venomous bite.

Every time I see a praying mantis on my door or walls (outside of course), I just leave them be. Not only do I think they’re pretty insects, but they’re EXCELLENT at dealing with a lot of the pests.

I once was on holiday in turkey and had a defective mosquito net in my room. Every morning there was a score of mosquitos caught between the net and the closed window, and it was a hassle to open the window without letting mosquitos into the room. But one day I caught a jumping spider on the terrace and locked her between net and window in the evening.
In the morning the spider had, as hoped, had caught every mosquito that got inside, and at least a dozen of them lay dead at the bottom of the frame. So, jumping spiders can easily catch more then five mosquitos even in the short morning hour after dawn ... if they're in the mood. Sadly, the spider escaped into the room after I opened the window and wasn't to be caught again for another morning shift ...

I hate mosquitoes, but you managed to make even them look cute, so when the one mosquito escaped at 3:04 it didn't bother me as much as it should have!
The way the mantis eats is different from what i have seen of other insects you keep.
Other insects use the juices to suck out nutrition from the shell of the prey
But the mantis does not waste time, he eats the insect shell and all, leaving no evidence of his actions! Amazing
