- It was cool to get out today and hop back and forth between the Ski-Doo and the Polaris. I have a ton of fun riding both and can easily jump from one to the other which I didn't think Id be able to do.

I enjoy your videos before I get ready for work every weekday. Funny how I get excited to watch as soon as I see it post! Never gets old or repetitive. Thank you Matt, again and again!
Yes I agree. Everyday the videos are a little different and keep it interesting to watch. I look forward to seeing the next one everyday!
Great video today! That jump into the snow at 18:00 was so funny.
That front facing back camera was phenomenal today, so much snow!
Already missing Jerry #1 & Jason needs a Boost!
Funny how I get excited to watch as soon as I see it post! Never gets old or repetitive. Thank you Matt, again and again!
I just love watching your videos while enjoying coffee before work or school
These videos inspire me so much, only my second year riding on a 97 formula 500 I got from my brother but gotta start somewhere.. appreciate all the content!
Keep up the great content and in my opinion I believe there isn’t going to be a clear winner between these two machines I believe both companies have them dialled in and it’s going to come down to what a guy prefers with that said love the videos keep shredding
That, and if they do there own mods and what not makes a hugeee difference, my 2016 m8 outpulls a N/A 850 from both brands so it all depends
I do agree but I'm sure I will lean more towards one
I like the increase in avalanche awareness you're doing lately. A lot of people need to understand the risk! Amazing videos!
The POW! Unreal. Looks like an absolute blast. Gets me pumped just watching....and the giggles.... hilarious!
Gotta love those weekdays!
Fresh Pow and no crowds!
The 1 handed wheelie up the hill while cleaning off the screen at 8:06 was a baller move 👌
Best thing I watch everyday is your new video!
I find it interesting that there wasn’t more difference in track speed considering the Poo has more HP and less track (15” x 2.75” vs. 16” x 3.0”). The Poo had slightly higher peak track speed, but the average track speed seemed to favor the Doo.
it would be interesting to know the gearing of the two of them.
Wow. What a day. Very much enjoyed watching you jump sled to sled. What I have been waiting for. As a long time poo rider and with a khaos boost on the way at some time this year, enjoyed the side by side comparison. You really have made me a fan of the Doo. Something I didn’t really think I’d ever say. It seems like such a smooth ride. That said I don’t regret my order, just giving me more options in the future. Might actually get a Doo to have my own similar setup. If I could give more than one thumbs up I would. Keep up the content Matt… thanks
If i only won the lottery!! New sleds, new lodge and living the dream!!! Keep up filming great content!
And I decided to stay home and work overtime this week! Insane pow it is! Sure there will be more deep days it's only feb 2nd thanks for delivering these videos!
sure hope u are able to do a few more videos like this in different snow conditions. awesome content to watch keep up the good work!
I feel like skido And Polaris need to send you there new sleds for r and d every year. Even though you've been on skido longer you still give an unbiased opinion
It be great to hear about the 2 sleds. I am thinking the poo just by a little. Another great video... keep up the great work, you must be getting a little tired long days and big nights of editing. Your awesome 👌.
This footage shows epic pow and Ems even deeper than last years epic deep days.
Love your content man💙
Wow that looks so fun. So deep
Admit it, Jerry #1 has been drying your gloves and looking after the gas so your abit lost with him being gone. Wish we had that snow back east here in NB. Love the vids, keep it up.
Best content ive seen on here🤘🏻
The snow looks good! Been pretty dry south of the border here in Idaho. Heading out for day 3 today!
Looked like a lot of fun out there.
Fun to see you compare yourself/same day. I’ve seen the same as you have. Not much diff between the two brands especially when you consider the Poo weight is less and the psi on the turbo is double. Very interesting. Both awesome and capable sleds. I’d still like to see you try the 154 2.5 Doo as I’m on that sled this year and the track speed is 5+ mph better than the 3” lug. Thanks for the awesome content!!!
One of my favorite days for the comparison! Love the back to back, immediate same condition runs. Got to say on a tired day I would probably take out to doo after watching this, and I’m a poo guy! Just looks like a smooth cruiser.
It is a Khaos on the video - if it were a Pro the rowdiness would've been tamed a bit haha
@@208SledHead absolutely agree. Have a pro.
Phenomenal snow! Holy chit!
neet to see the pointed out avalanche activity from afar in the rockies.. something i'll never see here in manitoba...wow! thnx for the view matt.
living the dream :)
Very nice, thank you. Playing the weight game ...it is somewhat regrettable doo was forced to sacrifice fuel capacity and range. Not sure if there is another way without sacrificing durability or changing the chassis and build materials. Stoked you get to tear up the pow with your mates.
That was awesome 👍🏻
Awesome.
Can't wait Matt!!
Just can’t get on the top step hey pal??
Already on my back down lol
So. Much. Powder. Im drooling.
As always, great content man :)
That one was awesome 👏
Two my favourite sleds fot this season 😁
2 great sleds, IMO it comes down to what ergos fit you best and what you can actually get these days. I am on a Doo this year even though the matryx fits me better.
Do you notice much of a difference between the wider tunnel? Im spring ordering in 1-2 months and currently ride a cat.
Doo vs. Poo...whatever. I'm going back to the archives to watch Jerry #1.
С большим удовольствием смотрю твои видео 👍👍👍, благодарю, с большим приветом из СССР...
Crazy amount of snow :D Keep it up
Peak track speed for poo i saw was 80kmh. 74kmh for the doo. Definitely close. Every bit helps though
Love the videos man. I'm a tech at a BRP/Polaris dealer and personally prefer the Skidoo. I think the build quality is better overall then the newer Polaris machines. Just my 2 cents. Ride safe
I remember when I hit puberty too.
Just playing keep up the great videos.
Matt, totally deep. Did your CKX helmet fill up with snow like this new one? I don't remember on prior vids that being an issue.
Great conditions for the sled comparisons. Here's a question for you to think about. You've mentioned the quicker turbo spool on the Doo in numerous videos. My question is: Can you truly FEEL that incredibly short difference in the performance of the sled???? Or, is it just one of those things that your ears can hear the difference, and you're thinking it's an incredibly small performance advantage???. Going off everything this year, there's 3 important factors. 1: Powder blockage (Advantage Doo). 2: Able to hold an edge better (Advantage Poo). 3: Width of stance at the front of the tunnel (Advantage Poo). For me, since the handlebar deep power isn't a majority of the days out. But rider comfort and holding an edge is more important to me; I would have to go with the Poo. I will be curious to see how the long-term outlook is at the end of the season. Some crazy fun in the deep today!! Great video as always!
The doo also boggs, it bogged in this vid. Pol is developing a fix for the bog.
Matt I had an 18 summit and I never could trust the fuel gauge. I’m now riding a boost this year and wondering if you have found a difference in fuel economy or fuel gauge accuracy? Love the vids your the man!!
Matt Do you have any trouble with your goggles fogging up and what are your favourite ?
You deserve a lot more sub and I’m 12 and I want to be a pro snowmobiler but I don’t think that will happen but you never know keep up the great videos
I wouldve totally expected the doo to outclimb the poo thanks to the wider track and deeper lugs, but i guess the extra 15hp and lower weight of the poo make up for that.
dude wholly friggen deep
Great video guys! You definitely prefer the polaris boost imo, your riding and footage seem to favor the boost alot more.
@michael dumoulin 👍👍🤟🤟
@michael dumoulin absolutely right there is only one king a Rocky Mountain King
Was the CKX helmet better for keeping the fluffy powder out? or is it just something you can't prevent?
Would you consider installing a laydown steering post on the polaris to make it more comparable to the doo?
I have a couple of questions what editing software do you use, what kind of go pro and mount do you use and finally amazing videos keep up the amazing work
Interesting that track speed is about the same with the 10% more HP on Poo. What elevation were you riding at? Above 8k ft. (Sorry, not in meters). What an enjoyable vid to watch. Thanks for sharing!
Did you do a custom job to get your front storage box on the doo? I recall seeing it wouldn't work in your build video, but nothing since. Curious as I pick my identical sled to yours up today. Thanks
Matt, since you do most of the videoing and production, why not ask one of the others to be in charge of fueling sleds and Jerry cans. You have too many balls in the air. Exciting vid.
The doo has more vent’s allowing it to breathe better in the pow
Im wondering, when you were looking at the speed of the pol, was it track speed or ground speed. You have a gps on that sled and more than likely theres 2 different speed selections.
Hey mat
Did you put the proper clutch weights in that boost?? The poo will come from the factory with high eleavation clutching, your eleavation in revy will allow u to add 2 to 4 grms off weight. Lighter fly weights will affect your track speed, more force equals a bigger wheel.
I always add 4 grms of weight to my poos and this yr i also added more helix angle, this is for revy sicamoose riding?
Need to invest in a snorkel set like the old school back country skiers use
Them icicles under your bottom lip, is called the flavor saver.
Mat can you put a link to the go pro cold weather batteries. Another awesome video. You start my mornings
They call them the “Enduro” battery. For 9 and 10. Only available in the states.
I need a day that I gotta hold it wide just to get up the trail
I would have to pay roughly 145usd(184cad) for that fuel up in the end. Sadly (or luckily) there is barely any snow here right now. Even tho I live in northern sweden. And I bought my first mountain sled last year..
Killer footage!! Are you riding all 155/154's? If so, why not longer in the deep snow? Maneuverability or weight benefits?
It might have been asked before but how many belts do you guys blow apart riding pinned in that powder? Enjoying the video's keep them coming.
I mean my good old ski doo xp has literally never bogged ever I mean definitely because of the cold intake kit but still
Awesome video's. How tall are you? Just noticed your riser height. Just curious.
🤘🏻🤘🏻
U should come up two Stewart bc and do some sledding
THE DOO IS SO TAME LOOKING
Is the new review about helmets??? I have 509 hi flo carbon so asking for a friend because I love mine. But that ckx seems dope too
I’m on my way to Revelstoke today
What walkie talkies do you use in your helmet?
so in other words, is one sled really better than the other? Or they both amazing machines that it just boils down to personal prefernce at this point? So glad to see the POW is back!!!!
The Polaris has more power and holds an edge better. The Doo breathes better and possibly builds more torque because it holds a more consistent track speed? I dunno about that last part - that's just me speculating. Neither one is a "bad" sled though. At the end of the day, Ski Doo set the bench mark for factory turbo machines and they did a damn good job.
Don’t forget warranty. Skidoo is 3 years, Polaris 2 years.
@@208SledHead bench mark??? Pol started developing the boost in 2011, pol ended up with several patents that allows them to build 9 psi off boost on pump gas vs 4 for the doo. The doo is almost 40 lb heavier than the boost , wet weight and the boost holds 11 more liters of fuel.
Bty, i pulled out a 22 175 tbo yesterday feb 1st from boulder with motor issues.
@@teachdougie8139 Ummm… pretty sure Polaris has a 4 year warranty?
@@jc9601 Developmental stage and production can be two completely different things.
Ski-Doo definitely sounds better!
I’m looking at getting a new pair of gloves. What’s your favorite pair that you’ve worn.
Haha, steam boat Willy, full steam ahead! =)
I can't remember if you so or not but have you done t motion lockout on skidoo to see if it stays more planted like the polaris?
He’s running the lockout this season.
Do you find the Doo throws snow in your face way worst than the Polaris? I’ve always found that.. must be the shape of the front ends or something
Fuel gauge =biggest buzz kill in the mountains haha
Ludicrous speed. machines are amazingly agile these days!
I am planning a trip to snowmobile in Canada. I am in North Dakota, USA. Any good recommendations?
Where are these guys located that they get this much snow?
Hi FreeRider Team what a Sweet Day riding in the Land of Powder Snow ❄ to Purple Princess what is it like switching? Matt I think you need to Have Posted Note pads for Reminders to take Gas Can! lol. Sorry to Say Team Poo Poo Better get your sheds out and Ride them. Great Riding Guys. Bye. Gory
Matt, I'd really like to see a cat comp with the do and po! Think you could find someone to compare?
The syxxes production guys all seem to ride cat and I've seen Matt in a few of there videos, they all ride the same areas. Both make great vids.
Where in ontario housing getting snow like that or was that b.c that looked like a shit tun of fun...
It looks like the Polaris has way more power looks like on the doo your like working it harder and not going as far but that just my opinion I’m a Polaris guy my self so.
What goggles you use?
Love the VLogs 👌
Quick Tip - Heard a few times now on deep days you mention not being able to breathe. The key for this is to eat the pow when it comes into your helmet! As the snow keeps pushing in...keep eating! You will eventually eat out a nice little cavity to breathe, and the pow will stop pushing in because you have made a little snowcave in your helmet. Works mint!
Keep crushing it boyz 🤟🚀
This hasto be the craziest comment I've seen yet I'm trying to picture this in my head I guess if and when I get to experience this pow I'm definitely going to try this lmao.
@@19Dad84bod no joke bro! Deep pow days are just giggling and eating pow. If you dont you start choking because your lungs dont like pow!
Do you ever or have anyone in your crew used cats? Just curious. I got my first sled this year. 2019 xf8000 high country. I really like it! Nothing compared to boost or turbo but for a starter sled it's alot of fun for me this year!. Thanks for the videos!!
I know Jason has an alpha....
why shell instead of eds gas club today?
You dont have to pick a "winner" to appease the internet. Its clear each has its strengths and weaknesses.
it seems like polaris is better almost everything but i like skidoo more even tho i have polaris too
ПРивет вам молодцы все класс
wich one you prefere of the ski-doo or the polaris?:))))
