This has to be one of the best pieces of television I have ever seen, and I work in the business. Lyrically outstanding, funny, clever educational, and subtly giving a nod to the great Changes/Bowie. Brilliant.

The C. Of E. largely accepts evolution now (but they can't genuinely understand it because the whole point is that it does away with god). Your comment is a little out of date, so keep up. There are other religions who are more likely to disbelieve evolution. You could have chosen a more appropriate one.

this song literally popped into my head while doing natural selection homework, I was writing about the finches in the galapagos, and then the line "birds with different foods to seek.... develop different beaks" just started playing, and actually helped me write part of the homework I'm doing so here we are
this song literally gives me so much nostalgia. My mother and father both love David Bowie, and so would always play him in car journeys, so his songs give me nostalgia and I love them, and also horrible histories was my favourite tv series and gave me an interest in history I still have to this day. So every time I listen to this song, I get nostalgia from the fact this song is a nod to David Bowie's "changes" and the fact it's from the TV series I love. All of the Horrible Histories songs are great, but this one holds a special place.
It's wrong that's why. All of it but the facts is wrong. extremely similar to changes by David Bowie but at least to my mind it can't have closure as it expects changes but it gets something completely different but almost the same. It's madness. Good song though.

It's not only opponents of evolution who say we came from chimps. We didn't evolve from modern chimps, but our common ancestor would probably look to us more like a chimp than a human. Even if it's technically incorrect, it's an easy mistake to make.

I'm an American adult and I've learned so much from "Horrible Histories," which I staggered upon on hulu or HBO Max during the pandemic. The songs are my favorite part: the way they pay homage to the original artist(s) is always brilliant ( _"Take That, Hitler"_ 😉). True and they could maybe have made him look older as the song went on, but he published his findings as an older man. He had discovered it all while young but dared not to publish until later as people were even more religious when his discoveries were made. I guess this song is sort of sung by him looking back on what he did rather than him going through it in an order. It's as though he's singing the basis of his book.

I quoted this in my final essay for a history class in high school, got like a 98% on it and my teacher told me i was great at finding sources (i have been watching this show since i was like 11 😅)

If you keep going back we would have crossed at some point with direct ancestors, but then you could say that for every form of life on earth throughout history.
