I could be wrong in this but I do see a way ( a very very small way) in which this might be able to happen. Spoilers ahead: Vecna said that all of the people he k*lled still live on within his mind. If he is defeated, I wonder if the Duffers would be able to think a way to bring all of the people who died in season 4 back to life. That way, there could be a shot. Yet my man Eddie somehow manages to make her forget everything terrible that’s going on, making her smile, laugh and reassures her she’s safe.
There is the beginnings of an epic romance arc where Chrissy has enough time to open up to Eddie about her visions and trauma and he’s able to comfort her and find a way to save her with the hellfire club.

Although she was dating Jason Carver, it has been confirmed by Netflix that Chrissy developed a small crush on Eddie over the course of their interactions with each other. The company’s Italian social media accounts went so far to describe the dynamic as love at first sight. Both Joseph Quinn and Grace Van Dien confirmed in recent interviews that Chrissy and Eddie were romantically intrigued with each other, which is why Chrissy felt safe to walk with Eddie to his trailer on the night of her death. Joseph Quinn has elaborated in an interview that Eddie had feelings for Chrissy, stating "I think he might have done! I think kind of…yes, I think he did [have a crush on Chrissy]. I think, playing with archetypes, especially in American high school, I don’t think you’d ever put those two together. It would have been great to have had Eddie and Chrissy as friends or a couple, introduced as new characters, in season 2 like with Max and Billy. in season 2, Eddie and her would’ve been a great offbeat couple, Chrissy would be a relatable character by struggling with her eating disorder and dealing with her abusive mother and Eddie in season 2 would've join the group and partake in their adventures, play guitar and D&D with the kids and be a babysitter along with Steve, Eddie would've started season 2 as a coward but just like with Steve, ending up proving himself to be a hero in seasons 2 and 3, while Chrissy feels left out and totally oblivious of Eddie's whereabouts and adventures in the upside-down with the group. then in season 4, Chrissy, like Barbara is killed and Eddie deeply affected, tries to avenge her death by returning to the upside-down to kill Vecna but ends up dying, and wants to rejoin with Chrissy...Chrissy isn't forgotten after she dies, she is important to the Hellfire club who looks for justice for her, she is a “good” character aligned with the protagonists could've been a great support for Eddie. all that would've been great and have not only a great impact on the die-hard fans, but Eddie and Chrissy, both would be even more pop culture "icons".

I really appreciated the scene with Nancy and Eddie's Uncle. They could have gone the traditional bad relationship but instead Eddies Uncle knew he was a good kid and that he could never do anything like that.
