i would have liked to know 2 things about the B&D that are challenging us in microwave shopping. We've already purchased 2 that we didn't like. 1. the clock display, neither had a bright display that we can see from across the room. 2. the beep at the end of cooking (current Oster beeps 4 times, even with the door open): how many times does it beep; does it stop beeping when you open the door.

Hmmm... let me think back. As far as I can remember the B&D model in my video had a decent display that was plenty bright. I think it beeped 4 or 5 times when done cooking and pretty sure it stops beeping if you open the door. Pretty sure there was no setting for it to NOT BEEP when done cooking. It's been a while. I returned the B&D and kept the Sharp which is still working fine to this day. The B&D model I tested in this video was still quite good, especially for the price.

Stay away from Sharp microwave ovens. I have 2 fail in just over a year due to dead interior lights. These are LED bulbs that are impossible to find replacements. Absolute junk.

There are plastics made for the microwave. Most frozen microwaveable meals are made to be put in there.
