As a member of the seminal punk band Black Flag, Henry Rollins kept detailed tour diaries that form the basis of "Get in the Van". Rollins's observations range from the wry to the raucous in this blistering account of a six-year career with the band - a time marked by crazed fans, vicious cops, near-starvation, substance abuse, and mind numbing all-night drives.

You can but its so damn expensive. I just bought a copy of the 2nd edition for $100 only because its had 70 extra pages and 40 extra photos and fliers

Sure, but the problem is Greg kinda IS Black Flag, and everyone else can't get along with him. So there would be no cooperation on the movie.

I saw this on a late night music program in the UK called The Beat in '94. I assumed it was made by them, not knowing it was done by then-ubiquitous Modi, film maker to the alternative stars. I bet they miss the 90s almost as much as I do.

Worst formatted audiobook ever. I have the book and love it but the damn double CD audiobook was one track per side.
Once you started a side you had to finish it or write down exactly here you were when ejected it so you could fast forward back to that spot, either that or start over. It was literally worse than an 8 track because if I have been told the truth 8 tracks, at least, saved your spot .
The content was so good but listening to it was maddening.
Great book, it’s heavy at times. If you’re not into nihilism then it’s not for you.
