And his whole life story is already on CZcams. He's the right man for the job. He's a diplomat, he's traveled to every continent in the world(including Antarctica) and also went to military school... I know I know. He's not running for the job... But... The greatest leaders in history were the ones who were not searching for power, yet did the job because no one else could/would. Fact. yeah he's a real inspiration. not about making it or success or fame, but thinking for yourself and taking action.
If I remember correctly I saw Henry Rollins at Medusa's in the early 90s. I came expecting thrashing and left feeling philosophical and deeply impressed. He was so raw and yet so gentle. looks like he still is. most Americans are pretty decent people. It's time for us to come together. Don't let them divide us. Remember what George Carlin said. They're all in one big club and we ain't in it.

I met Henry in '95 at Geffen Records in NYC. He is easily the most intense person I've ever met. Love you Henry!
Wrote him a letter from rehab once and he was kind enough to write a quick reply back that really gave me some strength for awhile there. Words mean things. Acid's a hell of a drug :)

Hes done spoken word tours for the last 30 years. I wouldnt call it stand up, as hes not strictly going got laughs... but he can be funny.

My first exposure to him was as Zaheer in Legends if Korra. Come to find out he was the frontman of one of the most prolifically violent bands ever yet also an incredibly intelligent and funny man. I also ended up watching that movie as i started aquainting myself with his works, pretty good, boring in some parts, but he did good in his role.

Henry Rollins is one of the most underrated national treasures I can think of.
I worked with him briefly. He is, very polite.

I was hoping Henry had a new story to tell. I've heard this one about ten times.
What's he been doing lately?
Just like everyone else, dealing with the pandemic. He hasn't been able to do the travelling and activities he's used to for the last couple of years, so he's going back over some of the older stories until he has something new to talk about it. We saw him live a couple of weeks ago and he does have a great story about the stalker who broke into his home.

It's crazy, before the Internet people would just DO drugs. I always researched everything in depth before I did it and I was born in the 90s. I can't comprehend fully blasting off for your FIRST trip let alone with someone like the lady in the story but people used to do it all the time and probably still do. Awe inspiring.
