VA tech support is very good. I had some issues with my HDHU14+ on a recent long road trip. Called them when I got back, and they said to ship it in to them and they’d get me taken care of. Very grateful they are being so helpful and looking forward to getting up and going again soon. I’m already missing the road 😂.
UPDATE: I figured it out with some help: Go to the website www.naviextras.com Login or register with a new account Go to: www.naviextras.com/shop/portal/downloads Download and install the Naviextras Toolbox on your pc/laptop/mac 1. You need an 8GB USB Stick, format it Fat32, 2. Plug the USB Stick in the USB-A connector of the V2, 3. Turn on the Bike, 4. Open Navigation on the V2, 5. Open the menu and choose Update, 6. The V2 device configuration will be installed on the USB stick, 7. Unplug the USB stick and plug into to your pc/laptop/mac, 8. Start Naviextras Toolbox, it will recognize the USB Stick, 9. Logon with your credentials, 10. Buy the maps/updates you want to install, 11. Maps will be installed on the stick, 12. The stick is ready for the V2, 13. Turn on the Bike, Plug USB in V2 14. Open Navigation on the V2, 15. Open the menu and choose Update, It takes some time to install the maps, for Europe it took all together 45 - 60 minutes.
Jay I think some of us that have the MMR not the Bluetooth one not MMR2 but the regular MMR need a video for the update for the speedometer that's on the home screen taking the fairing off connecting the micro USB with the laptop connected and downloading that software on there
Call during business hours and we do, we take 500 - 600 incoming calls each day, leave a message if we do not answer and we call every customer back, make sure you don’t call from a business line and can be reached at the number you leave

Since the firmware update, it's amazing!! Do it! Jay is awesome so buy from them. Already sold my GTS radio on Ebay for $1200.

You must unplug it and then connect it to a computer, I have videos on the process already

Any reason why they didn’t tie the day/night mode of the radio screen to the backlighting on the gauges?
There is no backlight adjustment on the stock gauges, day night mode dims or brightens the screen and can be set to auto dim based on time of day
