Raichik was unable to articulate a single idea in defense of any of her positions. • @Dutch3DMaster
      @Dutch3DMaster Před 3 měsíci

Because in the eyes of those people, these are not transwomen, they are men. And in the eyes of these people, all men are predators, rapists, pedophiles and what not.
Which is sad in multiple ways.
When this same rhetoric is used by men, those men do not realize (usually people in politics) that they themselves are also the predators they claim all other men to be. After all, according to those same people, it's as simple as saying you are a woman and then being capable of facing no repercussions when raping a woman, so they themselves are capable of the same behavior.
It gives all their male constituents a massive middle finger, yet they are unfortunately to stupid to realize they are being talked to, because they still think it's about transwomen (that's how sneaky the transphobia from these people tends to be).
When it's women using that argument, they do multiple sad things as well:
      1. Is that they basically tell all women to fear all men, all the time: after all, transwomen are just men in dresses who are out to rape them without facing legal consequences, better beware of your behavior or you'll get attacked!
It unfortunately reinforces the thing a lot of women are told as if it is normal from the moment they are pretty young: that they need to watch out for men with the wrong intentions.
      2. The other thing it does however, is telling all men their disgusting behavior is sort of justified, you can't help yourselves, you are all sexual predators.
Every man who is actively trying to do better, will get the middle finger shown at him as well, this time by someone refusing to acknowledge that there will be men that they can be safe around.
It needs to uphold the idea that men are driven by their sexual urges to such a degree they are emotionless creatures who can't hold a single thought for longer than a second before thinking of rape again, with the goal of turning transpeople into a scary, dark group of people.
This needs to eventually lead to people reading the word transwomen somewhere, and immediately think of rape first, and then about the human being being targeted with this style of hatred.
This whole idea that it's only men also reinforces the harmful idea that women are never sexual predators (that's why you rarely ever hear about transmen).
Why I call this harmful is because I happen to know a story from someone who got warned by her mom at an inappropriately young edge "to watch out for the boys, because the only thing they want is to get into your pants!"
She obviously didn't get that at 6-7 years of age, after all, the part in your pants is just another body part, what would boys want to do with it?
Unfortunately, she developed a hyperfocus on boys being dangerous human beings (because that's the underlying message you get when not understanding it's about urges later in life that can make boys that are not brought up well misbehave) so much, that when she entered puberty and started to understand what her mom had been saying, she had became the perfect target for unfortunately her female mentor in high school, who then sexually abused her multiple times: she had never learned that women can be dangerous to.

As if the research and knowledge on the topic hasn't progressed since Money, or if the fact Money was deplorable discounts any truth his studies may have included. They think science being done by bad people makes that science bad, but even that is giving them too much credit because what it really comes down to is that they do not like what the science says because it pushes against their worldview, and Money is an easy out because you can just point and go "look! His failures (the atrocities he committed) actually disprove the current myth of Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria, decades before Lisa Littman proposed it.
John Money UNIRONICALLY believed what Current Transphobes believe.. and is the Opposite of our Current understanding which is that Trans People are Born that way.. and Conversion Therapy/Peer Pressure/Torture etc.. cannot change their Gender Identity.. which is why they Transition Socially/Medically to live consistent with their Gender Identity.

I am as strongly opposed to bigotry as anyone. That doesn’t mean we can never make judgements. Abrahamism is based on the willingness to murder one’s own child. The problem with the world is so few people are willing to call out the madness of something such as Abrahamism because everyone is forced to accept all worldviews without judgement. The right wing are indeed the dumbest of all, defending the psychopathy of Abrahamism so it’s doubly problematic that they are apparently the only ones that aren’t going to blindly tolerate intolerance, irrationality and lowly values.

@@shassett79 this person is othering white immigrants. But should there not for example be an American culture that we expect American citizens to assimilate to? It a hot button issue and its unfortunate the way to bring it up is through the ugly bigotry of the right wing. So its of utmost importance that those concerned with combating this absurd racist position do so on the most rational strategic grounds, not on less rational, less strategic grounds. Surely any such American culture would be entirely multiracial and reflect the melting pot heritage of the nation. So its clear that there the right wing and racist position is entirely antithetical to any authentic sense of what it means to be American. But you don't need full on cultural relativism to have a melting pot culture. You can have a monoculture and not be racist and be multiracial.
Multiculturalism requires less leadership and leads to mediocrity and decay. Multiculturalism is a lower form of social organization than monoculturalism.
Great civilizations are monocultures with great leaders (race doesn't factor in). America is fortunately a monoculture at its core but we have a strong inclination towards multiculturalism. Multiculturalism is merely the agenda of the agents of chaos who rule through divide and conquer. It is a right wing billionaire multifaceted agenda. What's needed is a left wing grand vision of the future. Positive liberty and a real plan to empower individuals regardless of their identities. Such a left wing , monocultural, strong state positive liberty vision would be categorically different from your liberal, multicultural, negative liberty non-vision where billionaires dominate a neutered state.
The Nazi’s and Soviets were both unique in their supposed foundations in rationality and positive liberty plan to uplift and transform citizens into something better. They were both grand visions of the future where the state had a high degree of authority. As much as the left gets hell from the right for being statists, the liberal left is entirely operating in the wake of the trauma of Hitler and Stalin and strictly adhering to precisely antithetical ideas where the state is subordinate to powerful individuals. You have negative liberty instead of positive liberty and emotionalism instead of rationalism. In this new post WW2 liberalism (this is ultimately what neoliberalism is and why neoliberalism is not going away) the citizen is not to be transformed into something better because ultimately we can never know how to do that. Is there any wonder why there’s things like student debt? Consider why this reluctance to improve people at least in theory would derive from a multicultural view and not a monocultural view. If we can’t make judgments about critical things, we have to expect America to become a wasteland.

In the Catholic religion, the left hand was perceived as the devil’s hand, while the right was associated with God. It was this belief that prompted Catholic teachers to discipline their left-handed pupils.
Dunne, who attended Catholic school through college, was subjected to left-handed discrimination.
In 1995, he was walking home from kindergarten with his left wrist wrapped in twine. The other end of the twine was tied to his belt loop.
“My mother asked why I had the twine tied to my wrist and belt loop and I told her my teacher told me the left hand was the ‘devil’s hand’ and that I could not use it to write,” Dunne wrote.
Source: "Born into a right-handed world, ‘lefties’ have faced persecution, struggles and triumphs" from the Durango Herald on 2023-08-13 (YT doesnt let me post the link for some reason)
Notice that he was in kindergaten in 1995 ? And stated that the discrimination kept through college ? Unless Donne was a genius that finished college two years after attending kindergarten, that discrimination kept through the 2000s.
So yeah, left-handed people were discriminated against less than 40 years, even less than 25 years ago. Maybe not everywhere on the planet but still present in lots of societies.

By "many" you mean a handful of random people on twitter. I highly doubt you've actually engaged in much gender discussion considering the deconstruction of gender stereotypes and gender norms are a pretty main part.
Gender nonconformity doesn't mean you're trans. The framing that this is what trans people are pushing is a right wing talking point not actually based in real discussions. To highlight the point, the comment you're replying to didn't say anything about defining other people, but was defining themselves. They used the term personality because the comment they were responding to refused to acknowledge the existence of gender identity.

    • @scootaymildo1070
      @scootaymildo1070 Před 4 měsíci

@@wrazzberrie1197 what I find interesting about your comment and the previous one is that you both very much talk around the point that I made and don't actually explain what being trans means and I think that's very telling. If we're to go by the dictionary definition of gender: "the male sex or the female sex, especially when considered with reference to SOCIAL AND CULTURAL DIFFERENCES rather than biological ones" it is very much implied that the idea of gender is in-fact based on stereotypes of what men and women are and many would find that problematic for obvious reasons (I.e. butch, "gender non-conforming" women who very much identify as women). Now i know that people will say that definition is far too simplistic but the only criteria that seems to be widely accepted for someone to be considered trans is that they simply declare themselves to be trans which, to me, is absurd. There's also a really interesting paradox that people want to make seemingly objective statements such as "I am a man" or "I am a woman" based on their adopted gender identity, however it is based on very loose, subjective criteria which is obviously logically flawed. The idea of gender quite frankly has been rendered meaningless, it can't be both a social construct and someone's objective reality. These positions are clearly at odds with one another.
And saying that my point is a "right wing talking point" is not a rebuttal, and lots of left wing feminists (the so-called dreaded TERFs) would very much agree with me on this issue so I reject that completely.

Sometimes I compare this with Eurodance acts from the 90's that looked superdupercool in their videoclip, but if not careful fell apart rather quickly in live performances, where the flashy camerawork along with editing/mixing typically was a whole lot more difficult to pull off right.
Their music, sometimes even sung live was still good, but you noticed that they delivered well when everything was controlled well, but when that was out of their reach the performance lacked the punch it tended to have in the videoclip.
A more skilled debater would level her verbally in an instant, by the way, and I feel she was already very much nervous because of not being in control like she normally is, and coming over completely uninterested, or at least lacking a severe amount of energy as a result, simply for being scared.

I had no beard shadow til my late 20's, and almost no facial hair, so little body hair, people thought I shaved it, a perfect hairline. I'm 5'6". I never could gain any muscle. With long hair, people saw a girl. With short hair, people thought I was a teen boy, and would talk down to me. Hell, looking back at pics of me with short hair, I literally just looked like a queer woman, because I masculinized SO LITTLE. So, what's the lie? I never remotely passed for an adult man.
"You can't change your sex" 1. Biological sex is more complicated than a binary male and female. Intersex people exist. Even among people who aren't intersex, there is a vast amount of variance among people. Tall cis women with low voices. Short high voices men, etc. 2. What does that matter? I don't plan on breeding. I'm a lesbian, so if I were AFAB, it's not like I'd be having kids anyway. I prefer pets to kids. And with all the physical, mental, and developmental issues I have, I wouldn't want to have kids, as they'd likely be severely disabled, like me.

Trans people can pass as the opposite sex. Maybe that wss your point?
Idk I'm not disagreeing with you necessarily. But I just really don't like when people try to invoke intersex people when arguing that trans people are real and can pass or people can be androgynous.
Intersex doesn't equal androgyny. And that's seperate topic.
Im probably not intersex and i was androgynous before i transitioned. I have been living stealth as a woman for half a decade.

    As a Swede, I'll mention just quickly as it comes to the "Swedish Study" (if this is the "Long-Term Follow-Up of Transsexual Persons Undergoing Sex Reassignment Surgery: Cohort Study in Sweden" one);
    1. The data is from 1963 to 2003. Not only weren't (nor isn't) Sweden that LGBT+ friendly, but this was before we had an law against discrimination, and the one we got (Diskrimineringslagen) came in effect 2009. So yeah, being trans, or any other identity someone didn't like, dehumanized, or outright demonized, could just be denied work. (Do keep Sweden's dubious LGBT+ friendliness in mind as you read these points. People gotten a bit better, laws not so much).
    2. While Sweden was early(first?) with legalizing gender marker changes on legal papers, it required all operations, and only manwoman. But among those operations were forced sterilization, which kept going until mid 2013. (seriously, look up how that law is where you live, since those people who talks about POTENTIAL sterilization of trans kids over puberty blockers still often support laws that wants surgical sterilization on trans adults).
    3. Sweden still keeps conversion therapy legal, and it's only the past couple of years it's even really been discussed as a problem by politicians.
    4. Swedish Democrats(SD), which are the party which Dim Fool/Pim Tool/Tim Pool met up with during his "scary" visit to Sweden, are on the forefront of not only being anti-asylum seekers, but they keep pushing for the idea that being LGBT+ from a country which would execute them over it is not a reason for seeking asylum. SD got just over 20% of the votes in the last election, and if they win a future election, will make it everyone's problem, especially for any minority.
I'll also add that LOTT'on here(read it as moron) probably heard of John Money and think he is the one that created gender, in the same way people claim that Newton created gravity, which is even wrong that way since the idea of gender and trans people existed before JM, just that he possibly coined the transgender term. And he was a disgusting monster for sure, but just s LOTT'on, he wished to force someone to be a gender they weren't. It's also very telling that LOTT'on doesn't know what gender even is, as she was talking about the dangers of "non-binary" clothes before this, and if gender is something we shouldn't care about, then what we wear doesn't matter, except based on climate, weather, and situation.

That is next to this paper having a problematically large timespan, and, if I recall correctly not having talked to any transperson itself: it was all combined numbers from other papers.

The study actually stated that without mental healthcare, the chances of the outcome being good are far lower than when these people are guided well prior and after the surgery/transition.
It didn't compare transpeople to cis-people, but there's a multitude of other problems with this paper, with one of the things being the excessively large timespan.
If I were to apply it to my country (The Netherlands) it spans the years in which homosexuality got taken out of the lawbooks as a crime, along with also being the timeframe in which "a man impersonating the other sex" (and thus basically transwomen) was taken out of the lawbooks as a crime.
Imagine the shift in how society treats people based on just those things alone, and now factor in how a lack of mental healthcare alone could make you be ill-prepared for the results of surgery/transition in a society that might still treat you as a criminal, should you, for whatever reason get arrested for said crime.

Annual US birth rate is only about 1%. More Americans immigrate in and out of the country than have a child. Wait - why does it matter where a newborn in the US was actually born? It doesn't unless you are a racist.
So does Chia support free healthcare and UBI for new moms, for even one year? Too promote higher birth rate? Maybe free college education guaranteed for new borns?

I agree they should all be equally judged for lack of evidence depending on the harm they cause. Like the tooth fairy is harmless but if a kid suddenly started chewing sandpaper and gargling treacle before bed then you gotta say the truth. Same with religion, if a kid vaguely gets excited over a visit from santa fine that's your basic garden variety kid in a Christian majority country, but if they lie awake at night with knots in their stomach dreading hell, because some asshole at Sunday school got them worried then again it's doing objective harm.
With adultsadults religion can cause huge harm, when they discourage use of contraceptives, shield abusers and force their beliefs on people who aren't part of the religion, absolutely it should be called out like "hey I got no problem with you going to church for yourself but I have a huge problem with you sitting at the right hand of government setting reproductive policy for the rest of us when we're not part of your religion". And worse, they don't know any better than the rest of us and it's just their faith based hobby horse without any proof to back it up other than their own ardently professed convictions where we have to just trust them, they're chatting with "god". Keep that stuff in church among yourselves.

So I was told about a man named John Money who apparently "formed" Gender Studies. Now as for valid is he and how much has he actually contributed to modern gender studies, he didn't do much. He's not a great guy and did some terrible things. Anyone against the idea of nonbinary or transgender people seem to site him often as why this is bad. How he's problematic is that he forced a child who had a botched circumcision to be transitioned as a female without the person's consent. To make it worse, this person was a twin and Dr Money would force them to do unspeakable things. The child would grow up and later unalive themself. This is often used as citation as to why transitioning children is bad, but if you take an honest look at this, this is far from what anyone is advocating for. It's an outlier to the majority of transitions, which are usually done incrementally and at the request of the child. The large majority of procedures have the patient well informed and make sure to minimize damages, as any medical treatment can have side effects and possible complications.

John Money actually proved the existence of gender dysphoria, albeit in a very messed up way which is why TERFs like to reference him a lot. He forcibly transitioned cisgender children to the opposite gender, resulting in severe cases of gender dysphoria for his ‘patients’ when they had transitioned. TERFs like to talk about him as if he was a proponent of gender identity, and therefore gender ideology is bad, but in reality he made these people suffer the same hardship that trans people go through themselves, proving the reality of their struggle.

Like if it's a binary, say you had a company producing only red and blue M&Ms, but for every 300 million they produced, their machines also made 3 million pink M&Ms. Would we ever say this is a company that only produces 2 different colours? If they had to describe in court the total number of possible colours of M&Ms they produce, would anybody reasonably agree they only produce two colours, and the third colour they produce is just an exception to the rule and not a colour? "Your honour, although you can SEE three different coloured M&Ms on our sample plate here of all of the products we produce, please understand that this is a type of binary. You see, our machines completely naturally will produce pink M&Ms, but because that isn't the ideal it doesn't count."
