In the 2nd Cinema Snob 10th Anniversary episode dump, the Snob review Night of the Seagulls as a follow up to the 2008 episode Horror of the Zombies. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
"I'm not telling you shit panda bear wrapped in film stock" That made my night.
I like how Snob makes fun of himself at times. Amazing how much this show has grown in 10 years.
15 years now
Yeah, he even changed the background poster once or twice......I can hardly keep up with all the changes. 😋
This movie is like someone waking you up after a bender and asking you to recount an H.P. Lovecraft story.
tutunaku I think that if one of the stories actually happened, then this is what my recollection of it would be like. Disjointed, scared as all shit, and 99% of it was hallucinations
I've done that before actually, was more coherent...I think it was mountains of madness...much abridged description tbh
Ah, a challenge worthy of my skills.
I'd be too scared to watch this, I mean the director would HAVE to be legit deranged, to name his whole movie about SEAGULLS!
I bet there'd be lines around the block for a movie called THAT @_@
“Okay, so, the guy goes to Innsmouth and finds…ugh, somethin’ about the people’s ancestors sleeping with fish monsters and having fish gills, and somehow the guy’s also one of them. I dunno.”
The title sounds like a spin-off to Birdemic.
I saw this movie and I ran. I ran so far away.
yawns
But did you get away?
I see what you did there
too scared to watch this, I mean the director would HAVE to be legit deranged, to name his whole movie about SEAGULLS!
The german alternative title translates to "The Blood Court of the Riding Corpses".
Damn, the German name game is on point
huh... I would've translated it as "The bloodfeast of the riding corpses"...
There is zero food involved, so I'd go with the judgemental meaning of Gericht, as well... :)
minski76 but they eat the girls with some nice crabs....
Daniel Freinhofer
So vampires riding the horses of apocalypse?
If you live on the coast, the night of the seagulls is a terrifying thing. They normally squawk away at all hours, and always on a night when you need to get a decent amount of sleep.
I'm guessing this film isn't about that, though.
Isn't that the porn spinoff of this movie?! Lol
You should watch The Lighthouse, just for the seagull catharsis
In New England, the seagulls sort of avoided the residential houses, and hung out on the public beach, and all the seafood restaurants across the street. The cool seagulls still drop clams from 70 feet up onto the rocks, but the trashy seagulls prefer old French fries and Cole slaw.
A remake of this movie actually does not seem like the worst idea... also the costumes looked pretty neat
You rock snob.
You know how this movie could be better?
Have Flock of Seagulls do the soundtrack.
I Ran (So Far Away) (From the Zombie Templars)
*Insert a bunch of seagull sounds for the soundtrack*
@@Darkshreaders Or put some food out, wait for them to come to you, and then record the sounds they make - a soundtrack change for little or no money :)
I've always enjoyed this series. Cornball adventuring elements mixed with some great atmosphere (at times), set pieces, and general weirdness. These remind me of 'Island of the Fishmen'/'Screamers' for some reason....
We need a movie with an Igor (physicaly lacking servant of the Master), a Torgo (mentaly lacking servant of the Master), and the old-drunkard-at-the-gas-station.
Can Ortega be in it too?
"Wait until I get to Windy city"...I'm starting to think these were prerecorded over a longer period of time and you didn't know when exactly you were going to be ready to release them.
AlucardNoir That or he refuses to acknowledge he already reviewed it. You're probably more on point though.
Nah, he probably filmed all of these episodes in an hour. He just talked really fast and slowed the footage down.
Yeah, it's kinda like RLM with Nukie
(both have been reviewed now - surely the end is nigh!)
thank you for this wonderful memorial day surprise
Wait, "just because something is teased doesn't mean it won't take 9 years to get to it." Are we finally getting the "I saw Jesus die" review?
The Blind Dead need to make a comeback.
And it needs to have the Snob dub all the zombies.
Yeah, this is a series that is ripe for a re-make.
liquidpig That's pretty metal.
4:08 Why do women in horror movies always faint when you pick them up? I've never had this happen when I try to carry off women.
Well, he was exactly right...nothing happens in Windy City
🦤 '😨' 🦤
despite the strange name, it seems kind of cool - i skeletal knights and some of gregorian chant music makes the film quite black metal esque
You should see the first one "Tombs of the Blind Dead." It's really good. I'm firmly convinced that the Nazgul from Lord of the Rings were modeled on the Blind Dead.
@@graemesmith6721 To be fair, the Nazgul came first, and there are only so many ways to depict cloaked monsters on horseback.
@@devinmorse9112 I just meant the look of them.
The first one, Tomb of the Blind Dead, is awesome
Hah... Batteries not included... as always Brad, you're the best!
Damn, I hoped that it will be about zombie seagulls :
That premise sounds super insane yet strangely fascinating...oh wait we got birdemic 2, so never mind.....then again, if you do the premise right, it could have potential.
It's funny you should say that because in a film class I took we saw Aflred Hitchcocks movie The Birds and had to film our own short films that were similar and one team did make a zombie version... it was during the height of the 2000s zombie craze
Naww, that's *Beaks: The Movie* from 1987 🦤 '😨' 🦤
Some people make a special event out of watching and reacting to their old videos. The Snob is the only guy I know who isn't afraid to point out that his old videos looked like ass on a semi-regular basis!
One of my friends pointed out that they always read your website as "Cinemas Nob" and now I can't unsee that. Figured I'd share.
That place makes the town in Resident Evil 4 look like a tropical resort.
Dr. Henry Stein
Dr. Henry N Stein
Dr. Hank N Stein
"This is going to get haunting." Yeah, that'd describe it.
You never go full Egor.
This movie needs a remake with Steven Segal.
Would he be playing a character who sits in a chair for most of it and we only see him on a video link or has he lost enough weight to be more active?
He could do an 'evil twin' thing, like JCVD often does - Night of the Segals! 🦤 '😨' 🦤
Wait, I just realized... weird cult, zombies, a medieval castle, evil villagers in a somewhat anachronic rural Spain scenario...This is a Resident Evil IV movie!
Where do you think they got the idea from?
I was the one who put Zombi 8 as an alternate title on this movie
Your welcome!
"Hey, they didn't save him at all! Boy was I wrong!"
I have nothing to say about the video really. I just love Brad Jones' work.
"Thank you for killing the mood, old timey Sheldon Cooper!" xD
Yes!
for memorial Day, we remember you snob. I wish Brad would also do audio books.
Now we have to wait 200 more reviews for Zombi 9 aka Demons, Calamity of Snakes and Vengeance of the Zombies.
Love the alternate theme songs ya use in these re uploads.
JosephDiEgidio these are all new, not reuploads
Obscure Northern Exposure reference! Loved that show!
How bout Jason Siegel does the Reboot with Steven Seagal and "Flock of Seagulls" do the entire soundtrack, with Katie Segal making a cameo ? With George Segal narrating the opening? There all the birds of Hollywood.
Well my friend and I used to drop popcorn around kids at the beach on purpose so the seagulls would go near them and freak them out. That's the closest we got to night of the seagulls.
Sorry to break it to you, Snob, but there IS another blind dead movie now. It's called "Curse of the Blind Dead" . That doctor had good reason to run.
"Das Blutgericht der Reitenden Leichen (The Bloodfeast of the Blind Dead)"?
Well that's not a translation, like at all.
Translated it would be something like "The Bloodcourt of the Riding Corpses" or "The Bloody Court of the Dead Horsemen".
well Bloodfeast is not too bad because it is a suggestion of a massacre, and Blutgericht also has the sense of a massacre also - in that is meaning could also be "für singuläre örtlich spezifische Ereignisse verwendet, bei denen eine hohe Anzahl von Hinrichtungen stattfanden" - so "mass executioning" of people makes Bloodfeast a decent term
+divinuminfernum
But I think it will be harder to connect blind to riding.
yeah that bit i dont understand how they came up with that
Night of the Seagulls:
Steven Seagal v George Segal.
Flight Promoter: Jonathan Livingston.
The halftime show is a performance by Flock of Seagulls.
11:25 Got a bit confused right here. I can hear church bells from my house, and it was 7 p.m. right when this part of the video came on. I started hearing real bells and then the movie's bells.
Made me believe I was able to see the future for a moment. And now I'm disappointed.
On a Monday? What church do you have nearby most places use Wednesday as an off-sunday-day
@@heartysquid (Formerly very) Catholic European nation; old churches signal every hour during the day time.
@@Palmieres ahhh I gotcha, yeah I haven't been in a place that still does that in quite some time
the actress who played Lucy died at the age of just 18 in 1977, two years after this film came out.
It was worth the wait.
Even the Templar Knights are filled with yummy strawberry jam lol
Brad , such a big fan. Love your work. I hope you could one day get the recognition you deserve., Would like to see a collaboration with nostalgia critic, that's on par with ciscal and ebert.
karonn 1982 They've done collaborations. Leprechaun, Sharknado, and Passion of the Christ.
18:01 Speaking of which, Brad Dourif is the main reason to watch Graveyard Shift.
14:32 Objection! I've seen seagulls flying at night in fucking Rome. ...I was weirded out at first too, but... apparently it's a thing. (And you'd think this couple would know that, since this is an italian horror movie and the couple moved from "the big city"- ie, probably Rome.)
10:06 HENREH! OH MY GOD!
the seater looks like a knock off chewbacca costume.
Its ChewPanda!
14:49 Andy Kaufman reference, nice! I see you Snob!! I see you.
9:22 are we going to get any THE BEYOND references in this review?
you said Ken Russell a split second after I was thinking this was reminding me of The Devils.. sweet
19:18 "Night of the seagulls" is less of a lie than putting that alien creature on the cover.
lol, love the final cut scene as he knocks on the door. He hits the door 3x, but the 4th knock - was an echo? :P
16:44 "It's a Mr. Grim, dear. He's here about the reaping."
I'm a simple man. I see elderly, European, countrymen in hooded robes...I think Hot Fuzz.
"For the greater good..."
I can’t stop laughing 😂 omg he said “I ain’t telling you shit 🐼 wrapped in movie stock 🎥 “
Here in Italy it's called " La Cavalcata dei Resuscitati Ciechi"
Great Movie ☺️🍿
How do they have enough women living in that area to supply these knights? I mean logistically speaking they'd kill them all by now.
I don’t really know how to tell you this but Night of the Seagulls is also known as Zombi 7: Last Rights.
The music is less by Goblin and more by Troll 2.
So do the zombie knights have zombie horses, or do they have regular horses which they need to train and feed regular food?
speaking of teasing, you promised eaten alive a long time ago and never did it.
two episodes down, hopefully I'll only spend five days getting through this.
Now that's jock ta Bock in his papa Smurfs impressions
I first saw a snippet from Ghost Galleon at the Alamo Drafthouse. Looked so crappy I had to find a copy. 😂🌽
Hey cinemasnob could your review Dellamorte Dellamore, AKA cemetery man.
So just who does a group of undead tempelr knights into cannablism prank call?
TIL quadrilogy is a word
Damn, what's up with all the recent uploads?
I paused the video near the end to notice a typo - Music "bt" Sad Panda.
This makes me wonder, will Snob ever review that awful JONATHAN LIVINGSTON SEAGULL movie from the seventies?
Nathan Gatten I dunno. That one is a real SNOOOOOOZEFEST. But that would be cool.
sad panda needs a mixing engineer
When will you Review Zombi 42: Two Times the Death?(AKA Twins)
Night of the blind templar skeletons.
No more official sequels perhaps, but there are ripoffs out there you could review. One of them by the director of Violent Shit himself.
More from the mind of Violent Shit? Wowzers!
Enthused Norseman oh yeah, hell there was even a Violent Shit movie as in it's a full length film and not a short shot on shideo one.
Soooooo I take it this review was recorded long before your review of Windy City?
Not a single zombie seagull gawdamit! Still better than Windy City.
That was some good strawberry jam though i always put it on my toast.🖒
Fake-assery? Is that a thing? Teach me your ways Cinema Snob!!!!
"Henry Frankenstein" So Victor Frankenstein and Henry Clerval finally got married, and Henry took Victor's name. Nice.
Or I'm referencing the 1931 movie where his name was Henry. :)
Yes, or you could go with the more snobby, pretentious reference
"And look how nighttime that is. "Night of the Seagulls" my ass."
Would you have preferred "Day-for-Night of the Seagulls"?
Funny review
Foreignhorrormoviesburgh
Priceless
You should review Children shouldn't play with Dead Things👍
Creature Features said that the blind monks were atmospheric. Yeah, like the moon.
btw will you or have you done mark of the devil?
brill...
The statue is jaba the hutt
Jock is showing of gargamel impressions
I wonder if they'll let him tend the rabbits at 8 minutes
"We won't be able to get him out without a car. We'll have to carry him in a blanket."
Wait... what?!
Where can I find his really old episodes? I've been through his entire archive, but some are missing or don't work.
Was this films soundtrack released on cassette or no??
Now that's mother Mary's legion of the grim reapers
Steven Miller!
