Frankie is going to be the chillest kid ever between dealing with construction noise & an already strong love of nature!
You need a wood pusher, and NEVER NEVER NEVER push on the outside of the wood/foam (outside = side away from blade and guide) pushing is only ok between the solid guide and blade...this is why you want a wood pusher that keeps your hands away from the blade.
New foam would have come with reflextix on it helping the insulation value.
Levi, my dad is a carpenter and I have had the exact same conversation on every project - "Yes dad, I know you can do it, but then why am I here?".
I love the sass from dad lol the trailer is coming along so nicely - can't wait to see it all done! Frankie's face in the wind was priceless 😂hubby and I went on a walk yesterday and it started to rain - our son was passed out and didn't even flinch in his front carrier, ha.

Just giving Dr. Leah a virtual high five as a fellow online college prof. I teach English, basic literature and composition and went from the classroom to teaching online when we moved to a small town for my husband's job. So grateful for the option to teach (and learn --my husband's getting his M.Div) online.

A word of warning that I’m sure you don’t need with your cool family:
Saying “why am I here if you’re going to do all the work” while completely valid can piss people off. I heard you say that & immediately flashed back to When I was a kid I was lucky enough to get private lessons in art. My teacher had a habit of showing me how to do it a bit too much so I was feeling like it wasn’t my art. One day I said, “can I try now” & (I don’t remember but apparently) something g close to what you said to your dad. I was immediately dropped as a student & never had lessons again.
So while I’m sure you’re fine, people can get caught up in projects like this & if they get told off for “helping” it can set them off. So make sure you love him & are grateful for & want his help - especially in semi dangerous situations.
And that kick back was from a lack control and power tools are not a game.
Yeah I think there's a "heat of the moment" thing going on there for sure but we are good about realizing that and not letting things be taken too seriously. Thanks for the comment friend 👍🏻

Levi. i had a table saw kick back wood at me in high school. this was 16 years ago. i am still terrified of the things xD I hope the construction goes well and things resume normalcy sooon.

Hope that’s not too much ruckus for the little one. This morning some crew of guys in a big vacuum truck were cleaning out the drains on the boulevard and it woke everyone up (not just the noise of the thing, but the crew screaming at each other the whole time!)
Honestly Frankie is the least bothered by it haha, it's everyone else who needs to work and live normally 😂

I'm so interested to see you guys travel with Frankie in the trailer one day! My girl turned 1 a couple weeks ago and we are currently camping in a tent in a campground with her and wow it's so different than camping on our own 😂

Some suggestions: I'll recommend using led lights in the trailer.
Try to use a 12v refrigerator.
Think about making space between solar panels and the roof.
Look for a 12v air conditioner.
A bit more expensive but worth it; 2 320 amp batteries.
Would Bluetooth headphones work better in the wind.
As that baby starts into age appropriate toys and activities - please remember that he is taking in all sorts of experiences, observations, and activities many middle class, day care kids dont. It is quite possible that Frankie might explore physics and building type concepts as he starts to put what he's watched into practice. Keep your eyes open for it and expand on his exploration as he learns actual age appropriate tasks while utilizing observed concepts generally beyond age then expand upon it.
Should skip the plywood, lay clear plexiglass flooring, and then just have area rugs so that you can showcase your mosaic

okay....Long before I ran a channel about kayaking, I worked in the film industry. And a pet peeve of mine from decades of working on film sets (and its a safety issue) that I see CZcamsrs do ALL THE TIME - I swear I am going to a video about even though none of my subscribers will care. - When a light (or anything) goes on a C stand. It gets a sandbag on the base. And you really should have the big leg, under the soft box. The light and soft box combination you have is pretty low weight but it is still a good practice. okay. I need a whiskey now.

Levi ... your dad is SO good, he knew the "near-death experience" really threw you and he let you vent a bit, then he took you through the procedures without being upset (because I'm sure it scared HIM, too!) without making it look like he was teaching an idiot. Your mom is great too --- all I can say is that with the relationship you have with your parents as an adult, you had an outstanding, loving upbringing that set you up for a great, conscious and responsible life.
I think you guys did an outstanding job with your "crazy quilt" insulation project ... and, "Future Proof Levi" would be proud of you too --- styrofoam is a HUGE polluter in our world and you made sure you didn't put a bunch of it in the atmosphere ---- it may have taken more work, but was really worth it in "save the planet" terms.
