I fry an onion along with the garlic. At the end when the garlic is browned I add a tablespoon or 2 (depending what you’re using it for) of dried oregano and 1/2 cup of vinegar. Salt and pepper to taste. It comes out delish.

Presentation Tip, if you don't want too much oil sitting on top. After toasting the oil. Add teaspoon of Honey, Half a Teaspoon of Dried Oregano, Fresh Squeeze of Lime or Orange for (Vitamin C), Half Cut of White onion and 3 to 10 Fresh Garlic then Puree it so it can be a Sauce consistency.

Thanks for great recipe. I was a cook at age 18 for Marriott and Puerto Rican restaurants cuisine wasn't around in my town. or offered at SUNY Binghamton college cuisine. My bf is Puerto Rican so I have to make yummy foods when he comes over.He liked my empanadas and took a few home :) . I think Moho sauce is essential basic staple one should have in the kitchen.I'm going to bring it to a boil like you but try it in the crock pot on low, Although on the screen it looks like more then 1/2 tsp of salt but thas ok to have a little more as salt preserves anything and of course flavors it. Thanks for being on here makes life more simpler to cook Puerto Rican and listen to as you speak english:)

When I make my mojito I use Oil, vinegar salt and pepper. and of course the garlic. Even though I chop it in the chopper I put in the pilon because the juices that come out of the garlic is everything in the mojito. after i crush more in the pilon I add salt and pepper and vinegar to taste. No I do not heat the oil not necessary. I haven't mastered the measurements lol as i always make alot because its a big hit in my home. What ever is left over I use for marinating my meats. This is new i'd like to try it to see. I don't know if I will like the cooked taste of the garlic. but hey we learn from each other right?
