Fun fact: Burt is played by comedian and actor Brian Posehn. He has a few specials including one he put out last year on 800 Pound Gorilla Media. He's a huge rock and metal nerd as well as a typical comic/sci-fi nerd.
I would hate that other comic book shop. Everyone eating greasy popcorn and crumbling muffins and drinking coffee whilst reading the comics. I would worry about buying a comic book and finding out it was stained

Penny's acting aspirations are cute, but she seems too naïve to realize that in Hollywood, it's not talent that gets you into the movies, but connections. Very few aspiring actors ever get movie roles and even less get famous.
You’re right that it’s not just talent (although that’s almost always a requirement). Sometimes it’s connections, most of the time there’s luck involved (you land a significant part *and* a top director / caster happens to see you for example)
I will say Burt's first episode. Yeah, definitely not the best. Funny but what he pulled with Amy was way too manipulative. But he definitely gets a bit better and is usually funny when he shows up
I am curious about your living arrangement is if you not living alone...Are you living with your parents? You could do you job from anywhere...You could live in upstate NY if you did not want to leave the state...Or have more impact socially if you move to centrist state like Pennsylvania along with cheap living...I use to live in upstate Central NY...rents are like $800-1000 at this moment...
