Damn, Josh really did write Nothing Ever Happened. That's like, maybe their best track. It's historical, it's legendary. We lost a good one. RIP JF.
10 years of Microcastle. Still loving it like the first day.
God I can hardly think of any intro to a song that gives me such deep emotions right off the bat as Cover Me. Just using that for the beginning of this video makes me want to tear up.
this whole double album is a Masterpiece.. It is music to throw on the headphones late at night after a few to many and turned up very loudly.... Sonic blisss !!

Bradford is ridiculously intelligent and no one really gives him credit for how smart he is.
Deerhunter is still one of the most admirable indie rock bands of their generation. Micro castle is a classic indie rock record no doubt

this was such a special time in indie rock. Deerhunter are one of the most underrated bands of this era. Microcastle is a classic, Agoraphobia is still one of my favorite songs to this day

7:54 - I first heard Deerhunter's cover me (slowly) and agoraphobia when I was in 8th grade on my tutor's Ipod. I was listening to pop / christian rock bands and really nothing else. It's not like I instantly loved deerhunter but I was really into the chillaxed, depressed vibe from those two songs together. Deerhunter's first two songs alone influenced my tastes in music a lot.
i rewatch this often and it makes me have a fluttery feeling every time...so much love for the true artists of the world trying to actualize their dreams and feelings.....
Arguably the best album of the 00's.

GoodmorningCaptain Nah, he sings on Deerhunter songs. "The Missing" and "Agoraphobia" are my some of my favorites that he sings.
He sat and chatted to me and 2 friends in Dublin in 2015 for a good twenty minutes - we got plenty out of him! And some bottles of beer for the road, really nice guy, clearly just can't be fucked on camera!
Don't think Pundt sings Agoraphobia, although he did write it?

P4K first posted this right when the album was released in 2008. Had not loved Cryptograms (and had not discovered the Fluorescent Grey EP yet), but from the first note of Cover Me Slowly on this video I was hooked.
Awesome to see the whole dynamic play out with Cole's vocals on "Saved By Old Times" so much time after the song was ingrained in my mind. I can't imagine the song w/o his spiel. So what if this is old? Microcastle is better than 99% of records, period. Now gimme Halcyon Digest in the studio!
Bradford is definitely the chatty one in the band. Seems like such a nice guy, though.

Yup. Neither of Us, Uncertainly was the subject line of an e-mail between Bradford and Lockett, I believe. I guess they just liked that title. These Hands was written and titled by Lockett though.
And then Green Jacket was also added onto the album, of course.
