    OMG Favor my legs, feet and hands were tingling looking at the straight drops from the mountains..... the bridges are stunning but it's a long way down if you slip... Alaska for 2021 definitely, long time dream.

    Just loved, loved, loved this Alaskan Series. Just so beatiful. Everything about it was amazing. I know I'm a little late but I just found this one, and I'm glad I did. Can't stop watching. You 2 keep on cruising and I'll keep on watching. Favor......I would have been scared too with that bear trail. Better safe then sorry. They tell you not to run from them cause they will chase you. Really can't climb a tree cause they can do that too. We can't fly......SO......what do ya do. Just stand there and let them eat you for lunch?? Lol. I think they should of at least gave everyone a can of bear mace or something. Well take care and be careful on your many adventures. From Bethlehem Pa The Christmas City.

    The White Pass train is definitely a must for us, we are thinking of doing just the train tour and not have another excursion linked to it

    Oh my gosh at the views from the train Favor and Rob, absolutely amazing! You mentioned having to go back and bring the kids. I think that would be so fun to do with the family. I tried for several years to get my mom and dad to go with us on a cruise before mom passed away but they always declined. Now, even though she’s not with us anymore, I always take a photo of her so she’s there in spirit. Keep up the great vlogs and take care.

    Love going on train rides. Info all the “railman” folks - the steam engines at the Dollywood park in Pigeon Forge, TN were all originally used on the White Pass in Alaska.

  • @AdventuresofDavidandAaron

    This video is giving me the wow factor. I don't know what to say I'm overwhelmed by the beauty of the mountains and the trees so beautiful. And that train ride looked like that was a lot of fun thanks for sharing sincerely Adventures of David and Aaron

    Great segment to vlog! Looks breathtaking from the train, but, alas, this Buffalo, NY couple deal with that snow and cold from late October to May, so I doubt we would do an Alaskan cruise. But it does look lovely. We take an Amtrak train once or twice a year from Buffalo to Minot, ND to visit our daughter and her family, and our train is a lot different. Of course, we are on a train for 2 days, so we have reclining seats for sleep, a dining car, and observation car with alcohol beverages. But our bathrooms are awful! Ours resemble more of airplane bathrooms and are very stinky 😝 I realized I must have missed a segment or two of your vlog (Juneau), so I need to view those today. 👍🛳

      There were a couple of times the height and the steep grades caught my breath but I felt secure. Also the clouds covered up a lot of the depth so that helped a bit. Hugs!

    Although they switch, I kept saying, as I watch this, “get on the left side”. I’ve done this trip and I think the left side has the best scenery in the way up, while right side gets it on the way back down. I’ve done it where they moved the engine (and you flip the seat direction) and where they do the loop so you don’t move. It depends on the number of trains going up at a time. Also, on the mountain are ship designations for first arrivals. It’s along the Railroad dock, that holds 2 ships and the railroad comes up alongside there. I actually prefer the Ore Dock and Broadway Dock setup for the trains, where you went out of.
    By the way, awesome videos. Alaska is really awesome. I’m returning in September on a 10-day Grand Princess Cruise.

    I've heard this is a definite "must do" excursion. I know you said it had "big steps" to board the train, and I do have problems raising my legs high enough at times - I can get on buses when they "kneel" them, and I hike myself up with my arms, but just wondering if you noticed any attempts to accmoidate walkers/rollators, as I know AK is a huge "older folks" destination, so I'm sure there are a lot of mobility aids - I saw a lady with a rollator walking as you were disembarking. I would still (of course) check with Accessibility Services (as I advise everybody to do, if you have issues), but just curious if you noticed anything - even maybe a stepladder to help access the bottom step:? SPECTACULAR scenery - in case I never get to see this in person - thank you SO much for sharing so wonerfully!
    Big hugs to you, Rob, the whole family, and all the gorgeous fur babies!!

    Hey Favor, that was 2nd helicopter ride you couldn't do. That isn't what God wants. Don't know why, but when I see that I'm blocked no matter what I try. I leave it alone.

  • @marjoriechisholm-larouche6680

    What side of the train were you on? Do they assign seats or do you just pick your own?

    • @LifeWithFavor
      @LifeWithFavor  Před 5 lety

      You just hop on any car and sit where you’d like. We suggest the left side now, you’ll see the same from both side but going up you’re more excited and the left side sees the amazing views first! Hugs!

    How long was the ride? I've read some people consider the trip too long.

    • @LifeWithFavor
      @LifeWithFavor  Před 5 lety

      There are three options, 3,6 and 8 hours. This one was 3 hours (more like 2.5) Next time we will take the longest ride as you stop in a small Canadian town and have a little mini tour and shopping. Hugs!
