10 years later... still the legend.
Agreed!
Yes sir, he is the goat gun tuber
I watched today enjoying as much as I did first time I watched ?? years ago. Hickok is the man when it comes to guns
this guy has to be one of the best gun review people period..
Indeed !
Thomas Dittamo he’s good for general chatter while shooting. However the true high quality reviewer is Alabama Arsenal. Nobody better than them at it. Hickock45 is great to see it shot accurately and further than most can practice. Between the two you can be certain something your checking out is reviewed.
He’s above realistic & honest...🤷🏾♂️
It’s because he is
This comment is EXTREMELY underrated
Most guys his age have a bowl of butterscotch laying around. This guy has a bullet bowl. I love it.
@Stray Wuan I think Thomas Arezzo might have meant a bowl of butterscotch DISC CANDY. How do I know??? Cause I'm an older guy who likes to keep butterscotch disc candy around for m grandkids.
Thomas A TRUE AMERICAN , JUST BEING AN AMERICAN😎🙏🇺🇸
P226 is the best overall full size duty handgun ever put into production. I will stand by that statement all day.
100%
💯
Says "we may not hit anything today."
Handles targets effortlessly and professionally.
***** I think that's a trademark of his videos. "I'm not used to the sights", ding ding ding ding ding!
Lol he's the definition of thug life
He is humble as he is professional
I like the sig p22 Serenissima had 2 airsoft versions a226 and a 228
Of the many guys watching HIckox 45's videos, if 1/10 of us could shoot nearly as well as this gentleman, this world would be a wonderful place.
I love this guy's dry humour
Half of the reason I subscribed and continue to watch the videos.
Im lo ve !!!!!!!
James HE IS COOL , AND A TRUE AMERICAN!!!
Humor?
in a zombie Apocalypse you need this guy as your grampa
More likely if our government turns on us.
Like you need a excuse.
Or a drive by!
2020 can be found as the year of zombies lol.
He calmly tells you to get the Glock 17 and put your safety glasses on.
I'm a navy seal, I learned how to be one from playing call of duty.
I learned how to be a delta force by playing battlefield
Man you made me spit out my coffee laughing when I read that!
Marcus Foster lol!
When you will reach the age of 16 years old, you will understand that you were wrong.
fordxbgtfalcon Well, I'm Sector 7. I don't care how badass you think Navy Seals are, you're not guarding a frozen Megatron now are you?
Hey, Hickok. Another Navy SEAL here. I was in special Team S3. We were the barbershop and soda machine maintenance branch. Okay, I'm not a SEAL, but I've pressed some SEAL officer uniforms down in the laundry.
NAVY!
Thank you for your service. You did your part :p
thank you for your services. you don"t realy need to be a SEAL to be a hero. you already are to most of us. thank you again.
So you were an SH or was it just the cranking you had to do?
"not sure where to hold it..." ding ding ding ding
"i swear this is the first time - ding ding ding ding ding ding"
It works sure he can tell you dat
When it fits, it hits.
@tone1245: The funniest thing ever!!!
"There's way more Navy Seals out there than I realized. I see ya'll in the comments and all over the Internet"
Hahaha yeah there are definitely a lot of "Navy Seals" on the Internet
Oh, and I'm a Seal, by the way. Well at least on the comments section of this video I am. Every commenter on CZcams has amazing credentials for some reason
RDA8191 He's right though, there are quite a lot of SEALs out there. When I first heard about the SEALs I always kind of pictured them in small groups, 4 man teams, things like that. I always pictured SEAL Team 6 and the other teams as just 4 guys for some reason, when there are a ton more.
Pretty sure he was making a joke/reference possibly to the infamous copypasta.
010101 010101
RDA8191 Someone call Don Shipley.
Back when I was in SEAL training, my PhD made me the odd man out. After I was awarded my Nobel Prize, my wife, Scarlett Johansson, laughed all the way home in the McLaren at the reactions of the presenters upon learning of my passing statistics in the NFL.
you won the internet today buddy!! Hahahaha
Pfffft British car
Yeah im just coming down from this Heisman win!
I never knew it was possible for someone to live the exact life i have🤔
And lemme guess... you don't always drink beer, but when you do you drink dos equis
A couple years ago I got one of these (not a Navy, just regular 226) from a SIG collector for $400. The cool thing is it was made in 1993, looks almost identical to this gun, and still says "Made in W. Germany" on it. Has the proof marks and everything. Shoots straight and feels amazing.
Stranger: Can you prove you are a SEAL?
Me: I own a Sig P226 Navy.
Stranger: Thank you for your service.
Hahaha
Rob Newlee THANK’S FOR BEING A TRUE AMERICAN😎🙏🇺🇸
I'll take "things that never happened" for 500 Alex.
lol!
One of the greatest handguns ever designed. So fun and easy to shoot.
it cracks me up he always giggles like a kid in a candy store
How anybody can dislike his videos is beyond me.
liberals...
Lol of course wtf was I thinking Lol
+Erik Leber Because some people just simple do not like guns. For example those whos children where killed by gun lovers or insane people in USA.
+Tomáš Slinták Then why would they come here in the first place? I don't like watching Minecraft videos but you don't see me disliking videos about Minecraft.
+Jacques „SonJake21“ Olivier I do not like your comment, I want to dislike ;-))
Got a bowl of bullets like if it were skittles or M&Ms. Nice!
Angel S Yeah,a little touch like that is pretty cool.
I've been a Glock guy for years until I fired my first Sig P226, the gun practically shoots itself- A REAL TACK DRIVER just way better than my old G19 or any of my Glocks. I've sold all of my Glocks once I caught the "SIGness" Once you hold and fire one you'll understand why you will spend the extra cash. 3 for me so far- just picked up the P229R for the perfect carry-just a beautiful handgun and after you install the SRT trigger system you"ll wonder why you you settled for the horrible Glock squishy trigger. The de-cocker just makes it feel safer to carry for me, love sa/da trigger- no going back to the ugly plastic Glock for me. There must have been some serious underbidding by Glock or serious budget cuts to replace the Sig P226 or M9 for the special forces to a G19. Don't believe me, go give a P226 a run at the range sometime- you will understand the difference 😃
i sold my p229 in .40 but i do have a p226 mk25 9mm(navy seal)
best guns out there for sure
MrDelmonte67 ive always liked the Sig P232 elegant little gun. loved it have to buy one again. If i can find one
Me to, it’s my new favorite
I have both a Glock 19 and P226. Most seals carry a 19, and have been for years. They’re just simpler and more reliable. Still love my 226.
Some glocks just dont fit my hand right. Missed every shot.
Dude you're the Bob Ross of firearms! Love ya!
10:39 "I really wanna be a Navy SEAL when I get older." :D
lfsracer79 you don't have to be Navy seal just to have the p226 you can always get 1 when you're 21
Andy you're an idiot smh. !
Dreamer witha beamer r/woosh
I want to be a Navy Seal when i get older! I just made 60!.......yaay!
Swiss/German collaboration. SIG guns deliver exceptional quality and accuracy. Yes I am swiss...
Grützi
As a swiss i can recommend you the phoenix fusion tactical/std awesome guns
"I'm not sure where to hold" ding ding ding ding ding, god damn hickok, thug life!
jauh25 lol
He is Deadshot.
Jahazey Janzen he's a savage lmao
Hate ta get in a gun fight with dude
Probably the funniest Hickok video to date! Pure gold.
I have a Sig in 40 cal...and I love it.....it puts groups within an inch....really fine fine weapon ......best pistol I ever owned and so easy to break down and clean....
Got one earlier this year & have put 500 rounds through it. Beautiful gun. Feels great in your hand, even for a relatively large gun it doesn't feel heavy at all. Not one jam or misfire. Just a solid piece of work.
How is it holding up eight years later? :^)
@@peekaboo1575 Going strong. I've put over 5,000 rounds through it by now and it just keeps on working great.
@@jobu88 thanks for the update!
@@gilbert4394 I've shot them at ranges that rent them it's a beautiful firearm
I have a 220 still shooting great since 1994.
This has been my EDC for years. 1 in the chamber, magazine in and 2 more magazines on the belt. Love this firearm. Very reliable and very smooth.
The magazine he unloads after "feeling like a Navy SEAL" at 5:05 sold me on this gun. Sweet shooting as always Hickock!
The Sig Saur P226 is my absolute favorite pistol. Love it, love it, love it... Mine, however is in S&W .40 cal and I can pop the wings off a fly with that thing and have never had a jam or misfire over thousands of rounds fired.......
I have my Dad's P.D. issued 226 he was one of the first in his department to be issued the Sig in place of the S&W .38 they had been issued in the mid 80's...fantastic pistol and I wouldn't part with it for anything!
Awesome watching your vids hickock. You my friend are a hell of a shot. I work as a hunting guide myself at a 5 star resort in texas. And we have a 1000yrd range pistol range and other shooting facilities. And I've seen tons of people shoot (including myself and other guides) and you are quick and accurate. As am watching you I can only hope I get as proficient as you with so many weapon systems. AWESOME. Keep it up!
Watch me miss everything. Proceeds to tear up the range...lol
As an owner, I can say it is cool, never jams and never gets old! Always a conversation piece among good friends.
Hickock forgot to turn his aimbot off!!
Bought my 226 Legion today in 9mm and i couldn't be happier unless i had 2 of them lol i will say that mine came with the Romeo 1 red dot mounted on it and straight out of the box it is spot on every trigger pull. Such a smooth running weapon and the SA trigger is like nothing else iv ever shot before. I would say its a better shooter than my STI 2011. But thank you again sir for your awesome review, i was going to get the regular p226 model and seen the Legion model and couldnt pass it up. I say the next big announcement should be Hickok45 For President 2024!!!!!! Thank you sir for all you do for us in the gun community. You have made such a impact on yourube and you sir will always be a legend. God Bless stay safe and happy safe shooting!!!!
“I tend to shoot this gun ok” says this outstanding marksman! Your modesty befits you Hickok!!!!
Love my 226. Bought it as a 22LR and added the 9mm exchange kit. I can practice all day long cheaply with the 22 and switch to the 9 without retraining my muscle memory. Same trigger pull same controls all right there.
Best quality handgun in the world!
I've had my Sig P226 9mm since 1997 and still working great
Purchased my first Sig P226 in 2002 and I never looked back. As much as I loved my Beretta I was instantly hooked on Sigs. I also carried the P229R as a service weapon and that was a beauty as well.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you for demonstration and the balanced style and informed content.
The Sig p226 has always felt comfortable in my hands. It is very similar to the 1911 or Walther P99 in that regard. Those three guns have an uncanny ability to feel like they have a custom built grip just for you even when they don't.
This has been my EDC for more than ten years, it just works, and is accurate as hell.
2022 is coming, and yeah, I’ve still been watching from new to old videos of Hickok45.
I've had this gun for about 3 years. Installed the SRT trigger, and it's such a smooooth shooter. It handles 9mm easily.
the SRT is the ONLY way to go on sigs. I had a P220 Legion with the SRT, best trigger ever
@@b1141 I installed the SRT kit on my MK25. Huge improvement, and easy install. Sig should install it on all DA/SA guns from the factory. Can't cost any more than the factory sear, and safety lever.
This guy is my favorite gun review personnel.
That shot to the two liter was almost as impressive as the Browning hi power shot. Always enjoy watching your videos, thanks hickok45
You’re America’s grandfather Mr. Hickok, always a pleasure to watch your videos, you always seem to have a gleam if joy to you, your intelligent with what you do, love your channel been a fan going on a year now lol
LOL!! "I really wanna be a Navy Seal when i get older"
Just discovered your channel and i can say, its a blast watching your videos. From start to finish im intrigued which is great. You give info about the gun, specs, opinions on it, and above all you spend a good amount of time shooting things. Really great vids and you've def earned yourself another sub.
A new P226 owner, Servicing USCG. Thank You for this work out, great job. GOD BLESS The US.
The best version of the 226, hands down, which is why I bought it! Sig was a little to late to the table for me with the Legion. Thanks for making some of the best gun vids, on CZcams sir!
“It’s amazing how many of you navy seals are out there on the internet” literally laughing so effing loud I woke up my s/o in the other room.
I own the 220 and the mk25...I love them both..have carried my 220 for 10 years...not one malfunction in either sidearm...
I thoroughly enjoyed that video. Loved the commentary and the respect for the Sig Navy and the SEALS. I just bought this firearm a month ago and am really impressed. Thanks for this video and GREAT SHOOTING! Go Seals!
So proud to have ya from our wonderful state of TN. Not much on the hustle and bustle of Nashville but the ol backwoods a little south from ya watch your videos religiously!
“I really wanna be a Navy SEAL when I get older,” that killed me hahahaha
got a two-tone equinox 226 in 40 sw, with rails, nightsights, and green wood grips.. 8 mags holds 96 rounds (a whole box with 4 rounds leftover). never had the SLIGHTEST issue with that badboy!! i think its a real badass pistol having no safety, just decocker :)
I love your videos! So informative. I love your honest real world reviews. I refer to you before any place on the Internet. Thanks for the great videos.
Carried that gun for 20 years in the Teams. LOVED it!
The P226 is the standard weapon for the swedish police force.
This is my favourite fire arm and i love the navy seals.
I love Hickock's dry sense of humour...best wishes from the UK.
I know this is a old video but gotta say i love all of them! super informative youre very knowledgeable....... Plus you hit just about everything you aim at big props on that...... Very fun channel to watch..... Before i buy a gun i look to see if you've reviewed it!!!! Thank you for all of the videos and info
...as a subscriber to your channel Ive watched pretty much every video you have uploaded to your channel. Love the format of actual shooting, take down of the firearms, and your commentary on each firearm in regard to their history and or function. You are an amazing shot and I did have 1 question for you. When you are shooting are you focused more so on the front sight or are you actually lining up front and rear sights ??? You are very quick to aquire your target and and very accurate when shooting.
Mr. Hickok45, I know you are a Glock guy from watching a lot of your videos, but I really do appreciate your honesty as regards to other brands. I'm a total gun rookie, just starting to do research for my first handgun. Right now I'm leaning towards a Sig SP2022. Keep up the good work !!!
Hey coming back to this comment 4 years later I’d like to know what your favorite is now?
@@cconti2600 Hello, I only have the 1 hand gun Sig SP2022 and I have no issues with it at all...
@@Mr1troyd what caliber is your 2022? Good choice by the way!!! Should last the rest of your life with very little maintenance!!!
He is a gem..love his videos ..forget tv. I watch hick videos in the evening!
That gun + Hickok = superb accuracy.
maybe someone has suggested it, but when you are reloading set your bowl of shells by your right hand so you don't have to keep twisting and reaching over your left to get another cartridge. i enjoy your videos, you are an amazing marksman.
I think he wants the gun being reviewed to stay between him and the camera, out toward the middle of the table. He is willing to use the nonergonomic table layout for the sake of filming. Man, the sacrifices that he is willing to make for us. Expert marksman and a show biz pro. Helluva guy.
SIG P226, the most beautiful gun. I want it!
Thanks, Bill. I haven’t shot one of these in a while, good to have a refresher on the physics of this piece.
sigs are my most favorite sidearm
I love this gun so much that I have it as my secondary gun in Battlefield 4!!
It is my favorite looking gun!
@@umcaraqualquer3640 I would say this or p250 look hecking sexy
I picked up my brand new Sig mk25 9mm a couple months ago and been so busy I haven't been able to fire it yet. It's still got the factory oil. I've taken it apart many many times, then practiced blind folded so I'm very comfy with it now and it comes apart very easily and it's very simple. I was tempted to buy a used one exactly like mine for 550$ but I had to have it brand new. It had to be MY gun not some possibly abused and uncared for gun so I put down the $1200.00 and I don't regret it one bit. I love that there's no safety and I love the single or double action with the de-cock. Obviously when you have the hammer cocked back it doesn't take much to pull the trigger or accidentally bump it. When the hammer is down, you have to pull that trigger quite a bit back before it pushes the hammer back and fires so I consider the decock a safety mechanism. It's enough safety for me. I don't need a mechanism locking my trigger
I love how fired up you get while shooting (no pun intended).
Perty good shoot'in thar padner !!!
Just bought one yesterday!!! 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
"wow! I do feel like a Navy Seal, my glasses are fogging up so I'm sort of under water trying to shoot". Best line ever! LMAO
his chuckle in slow motion at the very end was great
First time watching your videos. I really liked your energy, and you’re one hell of a marksman! 😁👍🏼
I bought a mk25 to honor the SEALS I had the highest honor of meeting and hanging out with overseas, Blessings to you all and your families.
The Sig 226 in my opinion stands tall with other legendary semi- auto pistols like the 1911 and the 92 Berretta. When the FBI was using them in the 1990s I felt they had something good they would stick to, but things kind of change. Sig is a giant and glad the Secret Service protects The President with them. Like the Sig or not, any You Tuber reviewer bad mouthing the Sig would most likely result in a instant and serious loss of credibility. Unlike other guns that claim perfection and try to advertise it , Sig is the real deal. Sigs do not require dumping hundreds of dollars in parts to get to perfection. They are there!
Yep, I have three of them that I own personally and am issued one for work. I want to get five more eventually.
Just got a p226 40s&w and it's good to go as is!!! It's nice to not feel the need to change a damn thing!!!
Love your work sir (bro)!!! very humble you are and i respect that!!! i have use the p226 in operations and can confirm everything that you have said in regards to this sidearm, very trust worthy piece of equipment. Thankyou for your work!
Thank you for your amazing reviews and shooting!!
YES SIR... THAT'S a SIG! Old Reliable!!!! BEST WEAPON FOR THE MONEY IMHO!
Great gun, I've been through quite a few of these over the years and only ever had one malfunction. doesn't seem to like being caked in blood.
This guy accuracy is amazing
Nostalgic look back
always a pleasure to watch
Retired navy vet, not a seal but I did know a few LOL. Picked up a used Sig 226 Navy several years ago (no rail). It was well used but not shot out by any stretch. It instantly became my favorite range and competition shooter. It just feels right in my hands. Not a huge fan of DA/SA for competition but this one has the smoothest transition between them of any I’ve tried.
He remind me of the late Gunny. I love this guy. Keep on doing what u doing. Hooaaahhh.
Such a humble man, such a great shot
For me...that is the side arm of choice. Maybe not for concealed carry but definitely for home protection. And for a yacht...100% the best sidearm for use on a yacht in international waters.
Excellent shooting
“I know you navy seals tend to work the night shift.” Im dying😄😄
My favorite navy seal is Jason Blaha. Such a prime physical specimen and modest to boot. Truly, he is an inspiration.
I never noticed till just now that hickok shoots with practically no muzzle flip. This man is a shooter
One of the few guys on CZcams that doesn’t need to wear full kit to review a firearm.
These were going for about 850-875 as featured in the video. The threaded barrel & raised sight p226 9mm were going for almost 1000 at a recent gun show.
I think I paid $1100 for mine which includes a delivery fee and in-state sales tax.
The Mk25 has gone up about $100US since its intro, before the gougers get a hold of it with their markups during 2013, the year of The Panic.Occasionally you can still find them for under $900 from reputable dealers, ones who price their guns fair.
I priced matched mine at Gander Mountain for $825. Very happy!
new to this community, and after careful considerations. I have decided to make this my first pistol. such a beauty. Thank you sir
Heck of a shooter. Thank you for your reviews. Always a great resource for good info.
please forgive me Hickok, I believe the MK25 is only available in 9mm. Other variants of the P226 can be had in .40 S&W and .357 Sig. Also, no gong show, sad face. I'll be picking one up soon with the threaded barrel. Love your channel.
