How to replace the thermostat in you GM Cadillac 3.6L V6.

I'm here to help! It's easy when you can see where everything is. I'm doing Head gaskets and timing chains so it's the perfect time to access everything. The normal way to it is by removing the wipers and cowling to get to the thermostat. Hope this helps! Please leave a like! Subscribers are always welcome!

Would this be achievable by just removing the intake manifold rather than some people that remove the wipers and cowel?

First of all. Jajaja. Had me going. I replaced my thermostat but there was a leak after the car got warm, i tighten them a bit. One of the screw broke so i need to replaced the whole housing with the assembly. I question is is there a way to do it? Please help 😢

Do the seals on the hoses need to be replaced? ORiley’s only sell the top and bottom housing together. Should I replace both?

New seals are always a good idea. I got the thermostat from rockauto but it's easier to replace the complete housing unit.

My cts coupe ac stopped working dealer charged me 250 for ac service . It didn’t work the ac button light goes off while sitting still and gets super hot . Then I noticed my temp going above 220. 2 days late the temp maxes out so I called a couple car repair shops and none of them want anything to do with changing the thermostat. The clutch fan kicks In and runs . So now I’m going to fix it myself . Hope this is the issue . Not many videos on this car with over heating issues

I have a coolant leak from the backside of my 04 CTS. I believe a metal hose was damaged during a transmission change. Can this metal connector hoses be replaced?

I get most of my parts from rockauto.com I didn't see it there. You may have to go to a dealer. Cheapest option would be an auto wrecker. Good luck!

Is it necessary to replace housing? Cloud I only replace new thermostat into old housing

Yes, you can just replace the thermostat.

Sir I'm assuming when you put the heads back on you will have cylinder 1 top dead center and will that align on the crank sprocket timing mark stage 1 or stage 2 🤔
