      I am too. My car won't start because the battery has so much moisture on it, the car won't start when that happened. You can't unlock the car. Pain pain pain. The dealership sold me a battery but stated you have moisture around your battery, but the battery I had was a month old. They would not give me back my old battery to take back to AutoZone for refund, and charge me $18 for the core out of the battery instead of giving me back my battery. They said keep the car out of the rain instead of unclogging the drained. Now I am back at zero. Car won't start cause of moisture on the battery. Now I know what to do ill fix it myself.

    Hi I have a question every time time I wash my car or I’m on the road and it’s rainy my trunk where the spare tire is at always fills up with water do you think that my be the problem is a Cadillac CTS 2008 and I also have a sunroof

    • @Your-Self
      @Your-Self  Před 5 lety +3

      Go through the same procedure as on this video. One of the draining tubes maybe slipped out of its place. If you don't notice any obvious problems when you remove the lining and can see both tubes, pour some water in the sunroof (like on the video) and see where exactly the water is dripping in the trunk. Good luck!

    • @Your-Self
      @Your-Self  Před 6 lety

      You could unclog them using a flexible wire like weed-wacker string. The clog is probably dirt and leaves that you need to carefully punch through. Just don't use a sharp wire, not to puncture the rubber hose accidentally.

    • @AngelaCMoore
      @AngelaCMoore Před 6 lety +1

      YourSelf should I only unclog these in the back? Because on another video he showed how to take off your headliner to get to those drain tubes .. will I need to do all of that or will it work just cleaning out these in the trunk?

    • @Your-Self
      @Your-Self  Před 6 lety +1

      If your front and rear drain tubes clogged-up, it's definitely better to clear all 4 of them. While 2 drains can handle small rain, if you go through a car-wash or heavy rain you need all of them cleared.
      In this video I show how to clear front drains, and with smaller hands you may actually skip the step of removing Door-jamb Panel, move the carpeting a little out of the way and stick your hand to reach the drain tube, pull it out and clean it. czcams.com/video/NwDilhSeEuQ/video.html,

    Great video but I've had success by merely running pressurized air thru the entrance area at the roof.

    • @Your-Self
      @Your-Self  Před 6 lety

      Yes, blowing air works pretty well. But if there is a large particle like a tree twig at the bottom of the tube, it has to be removed manually. Also, you have to be very careful, too much air pressure could dislodge drain tube from its' place and create even bigger problem. Thanks for watching.

    mine leaks at the back corner at the headliner. if I pour water in the trough, it runs out the bottom, but also still drips from the headliner. has the drain tube become partially disconnected from the trough? do I need to go through the nightmare of having to remove the headliner to see?

    • @Your-Self
      @Your-Self  Před 6 lety +2

      I'm not sure, but very possible that the drain tube got partially disconnected. Also, maybe there-is a debris on the top that diverts some water away from the drain. Since you can't clean rear drain from the top, try feeding weed-wacker string from the bottom all the way up... maybe it will dislodge whatever is there, also you can actually remove rear glass sunroof which is held by 4 torx screws (T-20 or T-25 size) to have a better look from the top if weed-wacker fails. Worth a try before removing the headliner.

    • @chieftp
      @chieftp Před 6 lety

      it could be partially blocked. didn't think of that. it has been sitting outside for the last few years unfortunately. if trying to unblock it from the bottom of the tube with weed wacker string doesn't work - how do you get to the screws to remove the back glass panel? I didn't know that was removable separately from the entire sunroof assembly.

    • @Your-Self
      @Your-Self  Před 6 lety +1

      My sunroof was very noisy, so I had to remove Front glass to replace Drip Channel for a tighter fit in this video: czcams.com/video/HChSUIqmxk8/video.html , so I'm pretty sure you can remove the Back glass the same way, just remove 4 screws completely and the glass should go up... just be careful not to crack it.

    • @Your-Self
      @Your-Self  Před 3 lety

      Have you tried cleaning the front drain tubes and then pouring some water on top to see if it comes out well?
      If the rainwater drains well, the water under your glove compartment could be coming from the A/C evaporator. If you are using the air conditioning now, the evaporator drain could be clogged up.
      Also, check the windshield... maybe there is a separation between the glass and the rubber gasket.
