- One of the early Bay City Rollers hits, a cover version of the Dusty Springfield song "I Only Want To Be With You", which reached US #12. This is taken from Countdown in 1976.
The Bay City Rollers went on to become one of the highest charting groups for 1976 - 1977 - Hudba

So do I. Those were the good days...
I also miss those days wish l could turn the clock back
Bay City Rollers. A great band, they deserved more.
Their managers ripped them off
I’m 62 and I’m still loving the Bay City Rollers. Every time I listen to them, I’m a teenager again!!!!
you and me both, and i hope we can feel that for a long time coming
Oh yeah 🤣👍

RIP Les
this was for every woman who was teenage girl in 1970s & believed this was for her & her alone
My first crush at age 7. Saw them 4 years ago, was like reliving my childhood, was a fab night. R.I.P Les 😢 xxx
I was madly madly in love with Les, and I truly thought he was singing this to me, as soon as I heard them singing on tv I would run into the room and sit on the floor close to the tv and would not take my eyes off Les, I loved him soooo much ....I had all the clothes too...the Bay City Rollers were the best...God Bless and Love Les up there in Heaven💖💝💖
So very 😭😭😭😭😭
Thank you, I’m feeling a little sad over this news today. I saw these guys at the Palladium in New York on this tour in January 1977. It was complete pandemonium!
It’s a love song but not what people think
Every time I hear a Bay City Rollers song it fills my heart with joy. From a teenage girl to now. Still sending the love out there.
Awesome 👏
They have a soulful voice!
This is my favorite song 🎶 so tell me are you a fan of Bay City Rollers..?
Greatest Band eva ❤
Rest easy Les. Thank you for all the great songs!
I was born in the late fall of1978. Classic Musical Group! Classic Recording! Classic Song! Classic Video!
Almost 78...and ❤ the BCR! Especially, Leslie. A great band!! Reminds me of the 60's, too! 😀👍🇺🇸

When music was cool, innocent, and plain fun in the 70s. I am so glad I lived that decade as a kid! No comparison.
The 1950s were cool also..and 60s .that waa was when Music Ruled..
I just messaged my best friend and we both say for us the 70's and 80's. But I loved dressing up in my Mom's 60's clothes and dancing to rock and roll, I am glad I grew up in this era we had the happiest times for sure💝
Not just the music but life in general compared to what we have now. Any one who grew up in the 70's and 80's were blessed with the best era ever.
Unfortunately, particularly if you read what the manager was up to, it really wasn't innocent at all - just the truth was unknown to most people
Football hooligans and punk rock. The 1970s innocent: I don’t think so.
I'm 66 next week and i was never a BCR fan. I was 19 in the mid 70's and it was uncool for a 19 y/o to be a fan , but my younger sisters , who are in their 60's now, were huge fans . I just listened to a recorded 2018 interview with Les on Radio 2 /Sounds of the 70's - very nostalgic , it brought back memories of a great time in my life - the 70's just rocked. I now keep hearing S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y night being played over and over in my brain - the Rollers were defo in everybody's face in the mid 70's and you were way too young to leave this planet Les , R.I.P .
that interview Johnnie Walker did was fantastic. there was always meant to be some antagonism him and the BCR but the camaraderie of the 2 men was plain for all to hear. i hadn't heard the interview until it was on the sounds of the 70's after Les died and it made me laugh and brought a tear to my eye. I was around 10 at the height of their fame and never a fan of teeny bop music as my brothers were into bowie, pink floyd and deep purple. and when my sister sewed some tartan down the sides of my favourite jeans i cries for days lol. but listening to it all now just makes me so happy and thoughtful of simpler times :-)
I know that feeling! Now I realise just how good they actually were!
@@alcamus1973 Sorry but who is Jonnie Walker and why the antagonism? I am off to go find that interview...
I am 58 yrs, seeing this now I feel like 14 again, thank you .
Right there with ya...

I was totally bonkers over these guys in 1974. I was 14. Saw them in T.O. at Maple Leaf Gardens. In the nose bleed section, but had a great time. Great to hear them again. I had all their records. Wish we still had this kind of music. So many great memories of having dance parties listening to these great musicians.

How bloody cool was I.... tartan v neck sweater, tartan edged trousers! Jeeez, i remember hanging out of my granny’s bedroom window, just to be unavailable to the wee guys on the estate! Such fun! But hey, memories! I can now look back and lol 😂 I remember my gran buying me an Lp, with full size photos of everyone in the Bay City Rollers! I so fell in love with Stuart, (like the rest of the world)..... so many songs, which, I really would love these guys to rerelease' this generation! Needs to kno and appreciate the bay city rollers x

Do you remember they had a Saturday morning tv show....!! Front and center every Saturday....!! What a blast from the past....!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I watched it every Saturday morning right along with my cartoons
I still love the Bay City Rollers in 2019. My favorite boy's band when I was a girl💛💥😃
I was a 14 year old teenage boy from suburban Sydney Australia when this came out. Even though I liked them, I had to kind of keep it quiet, it wasn't the done thing for guys to admit to liking them. Was considered kind of 'poofy'. So dumb when I look back. Music should just be music. Glad to stand up now and say, I love the Bay City Rollers.
👍🙋🌞
Happy 64th Birthday Woody!!

1976, I was 15 and in 9th grade. The blond drummer is cute. When I first heard this as a new hit, I thought it sounded like a 1960's type song, and was thrilled. This is one of several 'happy songs' from past years.
THATs Derek DRUMMER

I am a 100% fan, of the "Bay City Roller's". Les McKeown is extra-special, too me. All very talented and hansome! They use to play, "Saturday Night" on the weekend's, at the "Moonlight Rollerway", indoor rollerink, in Glendale, So. California, 🇺🇸. Skated there, 25+ yrs. Often, my 2 son's...and sometimes, their friends. Remember first hearing the BCR on my car radio or my radio, at home. Loved hearing them, right-off! I was around 30 y/o, then. "Better late, than Never"...lol. Now have "Rollermania" in 2022 at 76 y/o. As I still love, "Rock 'n Roll", and alot of "Pop", plus other types, of music. Alot of music lover's, in my family [then & now]. ❤️ fr: So. Calif., 🇺🇸
