A wonderful memory for this 50-year old. What gets me is that you're drawn into Pebbles' dream of the other lambs as well. And, of course, the voice and beauty of Ann-Margret, whose star was positively exploding throughout this period. A lovely sequence.
Oh my goodness, her voice was beautiful. I loved this episode. It reminds me of when my parents used to sing me to sleep as a child. Anne Margeret must’ve been a good singer back then. Her voice kinda reminded me of Eva Gabor’s. Eva’s voice was so elegant, she played in the Disney movies: Aristocats, Rescuers and the sequel Rescuers: Down Under. Bianca and Duchess have been my cartoon crushes since childhood. I will never forget of how her voice introduced me to Disney and how I love animals till this day.
You are still awake and it's half past your bedtime The sandman had a date he didn't keep. But when the lambs comence, to jump across the fence, I'll count them all until you fall asleep... The first little lamb jumped over the fence, and was off to the land of nod. The second and third were close behind, like three little peas in a pod. The fourth little lamb was too chubby to jump, he crawled under instead. The fifth little lamb wasn't there at all, he must have stayed home in bed. Number six jumped around as confused as could be, he didn't know where he had been. He jumped over that's true, but before he was through, he jumped over, jumped back, and jumped over again. The next little lamb, was the littlest lamb, too little for such a big leap. Though he tried like a scout, he soon tuckered out, and the littlest lamb was asleep. The littlest lamb is asleep.
OK I'm a guy but this song is so beautiful. The lullaby my mother used to sing to me was "You are my sunshine" but I wish this could've been one too. I hope that if I have little ones someday I could sing this to them. And screw the one disliker. >:O
THIS IS SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thank you for finding it! I use to sing this 20 years ago to my son before sleeping,..he still remembers the tune,...but never thought i learned it from the show.
September 19, 2023 will exactly mark 60 years that this episode premiered. Also the first Flintstones episode to use the then-new Screen Gems "dancing sticks" logo, which premiered on September 15, 1963.
I'm not sure y I get emotional listening to this song. This is my fav episode of the flintstones. I know all the words and one night I found myself singing this as I layed n bed staring at the ceiling...
Tiffany Marie I'm crying now and I'm 55 years old. I was watching an Ann Margaret sing Bill Bailey and decided to come over. I said to myself I'm not going to cry. Guess what? I did. 😢
@MegaJustGeorge indeed it does....this song brings happy tears to my eyes every time i hear it and i count myself lucky to be the proud owner of this song on my mp3 player.
Very few childhood cartoon moments touched me as much as this one. PS: Maybe a very close Second (or 'tied for First," if you will), :) was "How Very Special Are We?" from "Charlotte's Web" around that same time period.
This was the highlight of the entire run of The Flintstones.
I sang this to all 3 of my children at bedtime, when I would rock them in my arms❤
Such an angelic voice.😢.
my dad used to play this for me when i was in 2nd grade to help me and i would sing it to sleep. I'm in 10th grade and I still remember all the words.
@leftatalbuquerque The Littlest Lamb was written by William Hanna, Joyce Goodwin & Joseph Barbera and the music was arranged by Hoyt Curtin.

I swear Ann Margaret was really talented. Everything here is true. She could sing anything, and be so polite
Sweet and beautiful. I wonder why they didn't released it as a single? It would of have been a huge seller!

Paula Teixeira thanks for the lyrics
My favorite lullaby! I sang this to my kids and now my daughter sings it to hers. :-)
Mother first sang this to me in 1992, 24 years later i now sing it to mine.
Such a sweet lullaby.
never fails to make me cry
I get all mushy when I hear this tune. :)
As you should
In the great words of Gayle Sayers or Brian Piccolo."I'm not crying my eyeballs are just sweating"!
I love the way they drew Ann-Margret in this cartoon. Just perfect. Adorable song. I think she had a ball making this.

The best part of this episode was when she sung the ending to Pebbles again near the end. ;,)
I remember it came on Friday night at 7:00pm. Those were the days . God bless ..

HOW her two songs didn't make the Flintstones music CD released some years ago is beyond me!!!
L Don Hubbard
I said the same thing.
the song is perfect 4 my troublesome heart and calms down my nerves.
@RJS3566 I, too, am crying when I hear this song, for it touches a person in this manner. It just does.
this made me sleepy....it's so soothing
Hoyt Curtin wrote the Music score and words that were songed by her
Such a sweet tune
Who else loves the 5th little lamb who stayed home in bed?💕
one of my favorite Flinstones episodes.
Freds voice was like a huge bombshell when you're sleeping soundly though
Gets me everytime! (Wipes tears)

@MegaJustGeorge Kind of like "Baby Mine" from Dumbo. That song always causes me to "tear up" big time!
Join the club, friendo
THANK YOU for this!! =)

oohhhh mi hermanita me pedia q le cante esta cancion cuando tenia sueno y queria dormir... es hermosa!!
Ann Margrock's design is very close to the teenage Pebbles. The long hair and type of dress or is it just me
That was the real Ann-Margret doing Ann-Margrock's voice
best ASMR ever
@stevarino1989 aww! how adorable! but i agree... I was watching this song and just fell in love with it
Wow. It takes me right back.
Any idea who wrote this song?
Can someone send me this song...I love it
Ann Margaret
The Littlest Lamb (Is Asleep)
From the TV Series "The Flintstones"................my attempt at MTV XD
@bigg34691 Thank you!!
Chris
oh mommy...
This may be a crazy question but what would it take for you to be able to post the full episode?
@leftatalbuquerque You're Welcome! :)
Who is the kook who gave this video a dislike?
Now there are 13 kooks who this this video a dislike who they are I have no idea
They had lambs back then?? LOL
@DorisDayFanatic Or maybe, for those who don't want children - sing to pets
Why does the babysitter refer to the littlest lamb as he? Pebbles is a she.
She was refering to the lamb. Not Pebbles.
