Aged six, is aware of the mistake she made, professional enough at this age to continue the song without pause. Truly incredible and one of the most humane people on the planet. Truly a gift from your god whomever it is. I am in my seventies and i have seen none better, nor anyone as good. For an individual song maybe but everything thing the beautiful creation touches is epic.

@@paulbono2675 Thanks for the links. I think I had seen one of them before, but the last link made me able to identify the studio by part of the logo reflected in the window. (I am sure it is common knowledge by some of her fans, but I didn't know). The studio is "Bjerke Lydstudio" which was established in 2012 to accommodate local children and youth in the Bjerke district in Oslo.

Totally different clothes on "Sky Fall", pink top, & again totally different clothes on "Rolling", red pants.
All 4 recordings have that same wire looking spiral imagery plus same microphones & headphones which is why I think same studio.

This is actually her first In studio performance of this song! She has three other songs that she performed in this studio which happens to be at the after school program and the engineer is one of the teachers! Angelina a six year old Norwegian girl, who happens to be a musical prodigy. She has God given talent that is how she does this! Notice how she is reading the lyrics in her second/ third language! Her control and precision are out of this world! She hit the one note that is why she jumped! Signals Grandma Mery with the thumbs up saying I got this. This is an original! Notice how she goes from third person throughout the song and switches to first person in the last verse, what a composer and vocalist! The song is from her album It’s Magic! You will see her working extensively with The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvarets Stabmusuikkorps)!

Fabulous reaction my friend. Yes, this is Angelina's first recording in a studio and I agree with it. This is a mind-blowing monumental performance by a 6-year-old sounding like a seasoned veteran and it's really uncanny. The visual on the video does not match the voice and it's just unbelievable to witness. Importantly, you must realize that English is not Angelina's first language. She is Norwegian by birth and it's learning English. And can you imagine being only 6 years old, she's actually reading the words from the paper and then singing with such resonance and dynamics to a classic song of the '50s. This is what makes this so unbelievable. Is her ability to inhabit the original artist and mimic and deliver such outstanding performances. I'm glad you decided to go on the journey. Another great reaction, Angelina has explained several times that she is never nervous when singing/going on stage. She describes it as excitement in the waiting to begin singing. It is her "happy place" sometimes interpreted as her being nervous. Although she does sometimes make a misstep while singing she is always professional and continues as if nothing happened. (that has always impressed me) It's awesome that you have read her book already! Although the book was "written" when she was 9, much of it was taken directly from her journal which was written when she was 6 years old. That still boggles my mind, to have such profound and deep thoughts at 6 and be able to write them down? Just astounds me! Looking forward to the next reaction.

This 6 minute footage was recently released last year. Fans have seen just a very short clip of this before in tv interviews when she was younger. This was such a treat to her Angels!

My understanding is that the original studio recording no longer exists (wouldn't we all love to hear it) but that this version was recorded by a family member (perhaps her Grandma Meri) using a cell phone, or small video camera. That is why the audio is not studio quality, but why we also have the audio from the engineeer which is so valuable historically.

❗️At 5, Angelina was taking after-school Music Theory lessons. She was learning how to deconstruct and rearrange music. I have videos of Angelina starting to arrange her own chosen music at 8 years old, ie. “Summertime”
During "Norway's Got Talent" at 7, one of the judges went backstage to the rehearsal area and Angelina was instructing a musician how she wanted him to play.
Crazy thing is, as of 2024, she has never had a vocal coach❗️😇🌺

Even though you have already watched her at nine, I really think you should go back and watch her four performances for Norway’s Got Talent. The competition went on apparently for several months, so you will be able to see her blossoming from one performance to the other as well as watch her front teeth growing in! She had a birthday between performances so was eight by the time it was over. Really enjoyed your reaction!

Another great job by you and a great first time in a studio recording by Angelina. The 'production guy' was her school teacher. They felt she would be more comfortable with someone she knew 'running the show'. To me, the most important qualities of this video were two fold. First of all, her courage to do this. Obviously she wanted to but, here she was, and, "This is it kid. Sing!" Secondly, the tone of her voice. Despite being 6 years old, the richness and the depth of the tone of her voice was beyond shocking. Another words her voice wasn't 'cute'. Rather, it was 'beautiful'. And, as an add on, although this was a very serious moment for her she still was able to relate to grandma during the song. Anyone who was not prepared to listen to this and had no idea what to expect had to be stunned. Btw, in response to, "Would you listen to this five more times," that wasn't fair. Instead of five more times you should have said, "Would you listen to this 100+ more times?" Were you 'picky?' Of course you were but no complaints. What cracks me up is when knowledgeable people like yourself delve into critiquing Angelina, if someone didn't know who you were talking about they would assume it was a seasoned artist with many years of experience and you were explaining what they do.
Angelina's mom enrolled her in a special musical class when she was very young, the purpose being to learn the ins and outs of creating music and learning how to sing. The teachers wanted to speak to Angelina's mom (Sara). They told her it was a pleasure to introduce Angelina to the 'mechanics' of making music BUT, it was ridiculous for her to continue to have lessens on how to sing. They actually told Sara Angelina was already qualified to be an instructor herself! only Angelina...

What I really like about baby Angelina's recording is that we can see in her eyes and facial expression that she was intently listening to the music. I think her understanding of the song was more important to her at that time than her singing was. I also think that Angelina, to this day, arranges her music by first understanding the essence of a song and then vocalizing her interpretation of it. She usually does not copy other versions, unless they were interpreted the same way she sees them. I very well could be wrong on all of the above. 😁

A-Aron, I am enjoying your reactions and commentary to Angelina Jordan. I am unaware of the actual dates for each of Angelina's earliest recording studio sessions, so can't say for sure if she was 6 or 7 years old for this remarkable performance. Does it matter if she was 6 or 7? Of course not. This performance is off-the-charts for anyone at such an early age. When the studio engineer says it was good for your first time, I believe that refers to it being her first take for this song, but I could be wrong. Maybe even more remarkable, is how Angelina is so mature in her review of her own performance. Her desire to improve is incredible.
We know Angelina was not too far past her 9th birthday when she recorded "I Put a Spell On You". We don't know why the video was not uploaded to CZcams until about a year later.
100% agreed. As far as first time, yeah it's unclear if it's for that song or the studio period but I think he handled it brilliantly
I just watched Angelina sing this same song in the same studio booth wearing a different shirt, not making any mistakes but feeling quite confident, the link was given in a comment above. As for her age, reasons by a few that she was much older were that she has a full set of teeth here, but I would suggest they were her baby teeth still, that had not fallen out till at age 7, and if the family recorded her video's listed with the age of 6 then who am I to disagree .

It is so refreshing to hear a genuine expert review the wonder that is Angelina Jordan. Yes, there are imperfections here. But an obviously very excited, initially (understandably) nervous 6-year-old, in a recording studio for the first time, being recorded by a non-professional videographer using a non-professional camera, reading the lyrics while singing, both in a language that is not her native language, singing a song saturated with very adult emotions...it is a phenomenal performance when all those factors are taken into consideration. We welcome your honest, incisive and very professional comments. Great to know that you recognize the limitations here, and we appreciate your interest in following the growth of the once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon that is Angelina Jordan.

She is somewhat mushy in her enunciation during the verses, and this was also a small problem in her first audition on Norway's Got Talent, but by 8 years old she fixed this problem and it is never seen again.

No matter how many times I see this ( there have been many !!!), I continue to be blown away. It's incredible that a six year old girl, who is probably just learning to read, and is singing in her second language....sings like an accomplished grown person. My guess is that Baby Fuzz would have made more money, if he had let AJ do the work. Anyhow, now he gets wiews on his original version, when people compares them. Like for most people, the song was played the first time with AJ. And she own´s it! Still never been sang again.

I'm not sure about copyright, but IIRC Brandon was and is fine with this "leak". It has been taken down quickly after it was released on YT, and he was heavily attacked for that by fans, believing he was the one who requested, to the extend he felt the need to make an official statment on his socials, saying 1) not being the one who asked for take it down and 2) liking her version a lot and beeing happy having it on if these attacks would stop. The original footage never reapeared, so this fanmade video was relased instead. But, check current copyrigth status to be sure.
Aside from the human story of Angelina's growth as a person onto the world stage, all the bts video that we have been blessed with teaches us the work that goes into seemingly "effortless" mastery of a craft. People who see artists at the peek of their game forget the many hours spent honing their craft. There is another video of Angelina rehearsing for NGT showing off her rash from chicken pox while continuing to work. While blessed with enormous natural talent, Angelina has a work ethic that is off the charts as well.❤

Her actual professional Debut would be the Norway Got Talent show. Her audition of Gloomy Sunday (Billy Holiday) went Viral and as she stated in her recent documentary she had Music producers flying from L.A. to her school in Norway after that performance, she said she couldn't go to school due to these people coming to see her. That 6 years old is now head and shoulders above all super models in the world..Meaning, Angelina is so beautiful, so gorgeous, so stunning, so captivating that you just can't look away...And of course on top of all that, she's a once in a generation musical genius, a musical prodigy...Think about it, she said she ( in an interview ), by the age of 10, have already written over 100 songs..Are you kidding me?..That's unheard of..I'm 60 and in my lifetime I have not heard any of the great composers have written over 100 songs by the time they were 10. I don't think Lennon & McCartney,, nor Roger & Hammerstein even compose one song or musical scores when they were 10 . If they did, then I apologize, lol

Angelina is happy to have laid down certain difficult vocals well. Thus, the happy reactions. She and her grandmother knew and prepared those parts. Grandmother probably gave the thumbs up first on one of the parts, and Angelina responded with a thumbs up. They are working together, collaborating!, in this and much of her young life.
Well, not really the first recording. Not even her first time in studio, but it IS the first take on this song. there are recordings of her at 18 months old, 5, and two or three others in this studio. However, this video displays a monumental advancement in her technique.
Of you know of an earlier studio recording, I'd love to see it. Been watching her for years and don't recall seeing an earlier video beyond grandma's crib videos

I thought you get all 4 songs that first time in the studio.Therefore it's true that it is her first time but I believe it was the third song and the first take of the third song....
This is not the beginning. Watch this documentary on her. It contains a clip of her singing at 18 months old. It's 3 minutes 38 seconds in. The whole thing is about 20 minutes long and well worth watching.

This isn't the first time she was recorded singing. but is probably when it was realized she was more than just a little girl who liked to sing.and was well beyond other people keep on you willl look back and realize you were wrong what you think were mistakes she probably intended to do it that way people don't under stand when they first start following her she has always picked her own songs and done her own arrangements when she does things she is probably right when she started singing with bands they had a hard time understanding that this little girl knew more then they did. Good job hope you stick around. p.s. Wait till you meet her family.

What we are seeing is a lesson at school ... She sings and the teacher critiques... so its supposed to be not perfect its why she's at school... to learn... Although teaching Angelina must have been an experience .... I'm very envious of your coming journey thru Angelina's career... you will not be disappointed..... Also the earliest vid of her singing is Angelina singing Whitney at 18 months.. its better than you would imagine.

I recommend that you look at her list of songs and don't worry about any order just enjoy. .... But her vids at 12yo are special and also her Tik Toks mostly because of lockdown are a goldmine.... have fun.!!

I've been following reactors to Angelina for 4 years now, and this is the first time I feel I'm getting a true and HONEST all-round appreciation of her work. Thank you so much for that. After this, I feel you absolutely have to react next to her audition for Norway's Got Talent, where she sings Gloomy Sunday. If you can analyse her performance there as you have this one I will be a very happy man! I can't wait for your next reaction. BTW, there is some question about her age here - six or seven - which I won't go into, but there are a couple of other videos of Angelina in this studio where she plainly hasn't quite reached this standard, so are probably earlier. When the recording engineers says it was her "first time", I think he meant first take of the session.

This is a six year old Norwegian child, not only singing in English, but she’s also reading adult level lyrics, in English, while singing. Most six year olds are just beginning to learn how to spell, let alone read at an advanced level.

You have one of the most detailed and intelligent reaction video of all the reactors I have seen. The only thing with which I have issue is your rating system which seems very rigid. And some of the criteria of rating has little or nothing to do with Angelina herself. Over all I give it a better than average rating.

Performance is the biggest factor for sure but I want a way to objectively evaluate an individual, a band, an original, a cover, etc. The system will adjust and make more sense as I adjust it...give me a little time 😜

Another great reaction: many things about this are amazing - not least her reaction to the post-mortem... as you say she is, and always has been, a perfectionist, and the maturity of her response to criticism, her self-criticism, seems so unusual for one so young... (lots of discussion of her age I see... I think she was likely 7, older than 6 but surely not older than when her first audition for Norway's Got Talent was recorded, when she was definitely 7 )

A- this was done in 2012. 6 years of age. She entered the contest in late 2013. November/December. At 7 years old. Turn 8 in January 10, 2014. Won the contest at around the Spring of 2014.

Not perfect but first take at age six. Absolutely stunning.
I have come to view this video in 'thirds'. In the first third Angelina is nervous and unsure. In the second segment she is settling in. After the 'thumbs up', she is much more comfortable in the moment. This is indicative of what you will find in your journey. She studies, learns, and improves at an astounding rate, all self-driven, we are told. And it continues to this day.
Even at this age she is playing with the use of silence in her performances, as well as the use of dynamic volume.
