I think those baby mama laws are different in Britain. Where I live (Europe) you are obliged to pay for a living for your child, but that"s like 1000 euros a month max. not facturing school costs. I'm not sure about the Uk but it probably wont be like in the US.
UK is in Europe to be fair - it's based off wages over here. They take a percentage based on how many children you have and what you earn. However I think they only take away from the first £5000 of a month's wages - if you make more than that, anything above £5000 isn't touched. So rich folk don't really suffer *too* much.
