Cool! Welcome to Brazil, come back often!
@Island Hopper TV Just a suggestion, record a local saying the name of something so you can later pronounce it later properly when you do your video.

Cristo Redentor . Que obra .
Nice drone work!
Will hopefully go this year
This video is great, thanks!🌻The idea of visiting a favela for an "adventure" is wrong on so many levels, however... Smh 🤦🏿♀️
When I was there the taxi drivers and some tour guides suggest it.
@@IslandHopperTV I believe you! I just can't believe that people are profiting off of (overwhelmingly Black) poverty, smh. 😤
As a brazilian I think favelas and similar neighborhoods in the surrounds of most important brazilian cities are surely our worst face, our worst reality, unfortunately. I really feel ashamed when tourists from everywhere in world come to such a beautiful places in my country and have to face the sad and cruel reality of favelas or similar communities. People who live there are those ones who can't afford to survive in any best place.
They probably wouldn,t live in such places, but they haven't money enough to move to a better place or a most secure one, far from poverty,
misery, violence and criminals. I'm sorry for my bad english, but I hope you, readers, you'll understand what I mean.
I agree with you : If somebody wants to visit a favela, ok, but it isn't at all an "adventure", of course not. On the contrary, it's a shocking experience.
@@mariadagracasilvadasileira442 Thanks for your heartfelt comment!💗 No need to apologize for your English; it's perfect actually lol!👏🏿 Favelas are simply proof that racism and oppression *still* exist, which is why most people who reside in them are Black. Smh. I'm Black American and it's the same here. In fact, if you saw the neighborhood that I grew up in, you wouldn't believe that it was in a so-called "first-world" country. The government closed all the schools, stopped investing in the community and passed laws to keep Black families from buying houses in better areas...And it's still happening today.😡 If you really want to help people living in favelas, then you must become involved in their struggle for freedom. Volunteer a little of your time to help empower them (like tutoring or teaching kids a skill that you have, etc.) or help change the laws that keep them oppressed. You can also support their businesses. Just find *some* way to help. I can tell that you have a beautiful soul!🌻💃🏿🌬️✨ I'm an activist in the U.S., but I've lived all over the world and lately Rio has been calling my name lol!🌄😆 We'll see what happens!🤭🤫💫
I will be in brazil soon in 28 january ♥️♥️
RIO DE JANEIRO🇧🇷😍❤️
After Maracanã, show images of Arena das Dunas stadium, which is in Natal, another city.
Brazil makes good shoes
Hey Jeff, what’s the acoustic song you use at the end of your videos? Awesome video!
It’s a jingle I had made on Fiverr
@@IslandHopperTV Anyway I can download?
Bom de e mas
So Salsa music for a video about Brazil. Samba is what is played there.
Carnival 🎉🎉🎉 🥳
I love traveling the world so much its the best high in the world all my videos are travel videos, hopefully one day I can move from the US to some beautifully tropical overseas country.....Rio is top on the list I LOVE it there
Are you hiring?? I love to travel and have a lot of experience! And I have no dependents 😊
Cuántas horas viajas al día
You're nice video❤im from pakistan❤❤❤
The cheapest hotels are in the city center 😉
They had the best steak 🥩 I tasted
Brazilian here. I watch a lot of your videos and enjoy most of them. But, you didn't do your research properly on this one. You mentioned "salsa" as Brazilian dance. It's definitely not neither some of the food you mentioned is not necessarily what we have for breakfast. Going sightseeing in favelas is something really dangerous even for locals. We sometimes say that the best thing for someone to do in Rio is to leave without looking back😂.
Best places to stay in Rio de Janeiro are Ipanema, Leblon then Copacabana.
Botafogo I also recommend.
@@daanvandijk8199 What is over there in Botafogo and why would a tourist want to stay there?
@@CutFromADifferentCloth7 It's a very nice neighbourhood, nearby Ipanema and Copacabana, with many shops including shops inside a building, besides that is very safe over there
@@daanvandijk8199 Ok, Thank You for letting everyone know and giving them another g00d option.
I agree
“Carioca” is not actually a language - it is what people who were born in Rio de Janeiro are called. ;)
If you are going to do a travel video, 1) please learn how to pronounce the names of the places you visit Ipanema for instance
2) give correct information Carioca for instance
You got both of them badly wrong.
Mirante Dona Marta, not Mira Dona Marta
That wasnt sugar😂🍚
Is Rio safe?
Relatively speaking but I wouldn’t get too comfortable and carried away at night time in the wrong places
empanadas are argentiean, they are baked, the brazilian version is PASTEL that it deep fryed
empanadas are originally form Portugal and Galicia
Que * de música é essa? Comercial da Tabo Bell?
Use o clichê, pelo menos: ou samba ou funk.
Please, with all respect, Salsa is not out tipical music; Samba is... By the way, Buenos aires is not our capital. Thanks a lot!
Copacabana is good, don't mind the dudes offering you cocaine for 100 RS (20$) per gram lol. Just ignore them unless you want some. I just told them NO but they're a little intimidating but they will leave you alone if you just tell them no and ignore them
My tablet was hacked.beware of thieves.
Wow I hope you got it resolved
Super great video and ( i love soccer sports nick name football) and ( i love cricket sports nick name baseball) and ( i love baja sauce nick name texas pete hot sauce) and ( how many 100 percent brazilian currency for the female prostitutes at the sheraton grand rio hotel and resort on copacabana beach in rio de janeiro, brazil) and ( i have international hidden beachfront resort casinos all around the world)
O primeira coisa a se fazer no Rio, é ir embora.
Best things to do in Rio:
1 - Leave.
Denovo vc?
@@pjlipi pq de novo?
Can't figure why make a video about Brazil with salsa, which is not from Brazil. Ridiculous. It's like you're lost, not knowing if you landed in Brazil or Puerto Rico
Invejoso recalcado. Deve morar em alguma cidade feia e tediosa.
I would add a few more: fleeing from robberies, avoiding beaches to avoid the risk of mass robberies, dodging stray bullets, not taking a taxi to avoid being robbed by the driver, not taking an Uber to avoid being taken against your will to a favela and being robbed, raped and killed, not trusting Waze (it always leads to a favela). Otherwise, Rio is very peaceful...
The sea it's horrible and the nightlife for my opinion nothing special 😅😅😅😅😅
Number 1. Wander around Copacabana wearing a Rolex and filming with
top range i - phone.
Number 2. Keep your wallet in back pocket with a couple of dollars bills
hanging out .
Number 3. .Ask local drug dealers if you can have tour of Favela . Maybe
Ask if you can wear a mask and hold his gun.
Hope these tips help Gringo tourists.?
Why u always use “ salsa “ whatever this rhythm is to represent Brazil ? So overrated
A música é um mambo. Não tem nada haver conosco. Coloca um samba, forró ,bossa-nova, carimbó,Tropicana,até funque .....já mambo ...não!
Thanks
Rio is a dump.
O Rio de Janeiro é lindo demais passei 2 meses lá, conheci todos os pontos turísticos, lindo!
